On a Friday, I emailed Red Rocker for a quote to refinish the wooden arms of two Lazy Boy Chairs. Manuel replied quickly with a quote, and followed up with a day/time to visit in three days. Arrived promptly and put down blankets to protect floor. For each recliner arm, he deep sanded, applied stain seal, sanded by hand in spots, and applied two clear coats. Took less than 4 hours. Manuel is an absolute artist, at a very reasonable price,, with excellent organization, communication, and follow through. I sent him via Uber courier a kitchen stool that had years of built-up grime from toddler baking projects that even my pressure washer couldn't fully get clean -- but it was solid wood, and it felt like a crime to throw it away. He painted it beautifully and even hand drew on a wood pattern to match the walnut shelves. I had put in my kitchen when he refinished the seat. He was adamant about getting me the best possible paint coverage, even when it required an extra step to do so given the years of buildup, and in the end, he delivered it to my front door, wrapped beautifully to protect it from the rain. From the initial consultation to the finished projects, Brandon has been more than I'd hoped for. I had no idea what to expect when I decided to find out if there was anyone who could restore a battered "Danish Modern" cabinet. It had once fallen face down during some construction, so I'd always thought it was too far gone.
