(Review is specifically for their cabin rentals, rather than the RV or tent sites.) Why We Loved It: Unbeatable Location: Situated right in the center of Springdale, only about a 5-minute drive to the Zion entrance. It made early morning trail departures and late-night stargazing runs seamless. Stunning Backdrop: The property is surrounded by towering red rocks, giving you the immersive feeling of staying right inside the park. Great Staff: Check-in was smooth, and the team was welcoming and helpful the entire time. Charming & Well-Appointed Cabin: The wooden cabin is charming and cozy without feeling cramped. It accommodated our family of 4 perfectly. The kids loved having their own wooden bunk beds, and the in-cabin kitchenette helped us tremendously with prepping meals and trail snacks. Clean & Maintained: The interior was spotless and had everything we needed for a comfortable home base. A truly memorable stay. We will definitely look to book these cabins again whenever we return to Zion!

During our visit, we stayed at several different RV campgrounds. Zion Canyon Campground is by far…read morethe nicest one. The location close to the Virgin River and with the canyon walls rising on each side is beautiful. The night sky was also gorgeous although the lighting on site does decrease what you can see. The pool, playground, and showers are all in great shape. My RV spot was in decent shape and had a full hookup for my 24-footer. It was also very nice to be a 10-minute walk to Zion Canyon National Park. The walk was easy, the drive was 2-minutes, and you can just opt for the bus which stops slightly off the campgrounds. The value for this campground is just not there though. Ownership is smart in that they can charge $100 plus a night for an RV site. People will pay because there isn't much else if you have an RV. It is what I would do. But their whole token system for showers is a joke. I stayed at an RV site for 1/5th the cost that had nicer showers and unlimited time for you to get clean. Staff refused to give my daughter a token because she was 4 years old on our last day. Not every employee here is unfriendly. Our check-in was done by a lovely lady who took the time to explain the area, stops, and even provide some suggestions. She is largely the reason my review is not 2-stars. Almost every other employee from the shop/check-in to on grounds staff is unfriendly. I would be hard pressed to stay here again. While RV places aren't plentiful, I would consider a longer drive. The hotels may also be another solid choice.

August 31 - Sept 3, 2026 - Zion National Park…read more We stayed here for 3 nights, and there's really nothing like staying inside Zion National Park. We had beautiful mountain views right from our campsite. Our site had electric hookups, but no water or sewer. There is an RV dump station on site, which also had water available for tank fills. The location is definitely the biggest advantage. Every morning, we could walk a short distance to the shuttle and head out for another great hike. We could also walk to the Visitor Center. And, both a blessing and a curse, it was an easy walk across the bridge into Springdale, where we had a couple of meals and a few drinks at Zion Brewery. Just remember to take your park pass and ID with you--you'll need them to get back into the park. When I made the reservation, I chose a shady site fairly close to the river. Then we arrived on a day when there were flash floods, and suddenly being close to the river didn't seem like such a great idea. Our site also had a tree with low-hanging branches that rubbed the top of our RV whenever the wind picked up. I definitely questioned my campsite choice a few times. This isn't a campground where you're going to feel completely "away from it all." We could see Cable Mountain Lodge across the river, and the lights from the lodge and businesses in Zion Canyon Village were noticeable at night. There was some noise, too. But honestly, the location more than made up for it. Being right in the park and having such easy access to the shuttle was worth it. And watching the sunset over the mountains from our campsite, then waking up to deer hanging out just a few feet from our RV, was pretty special. We'd definitely stay here again.

Pros I side the campground walking distance to the little town get the bus to Zion park or rent e-bikes to get around. No cars allowed to the Narrows. The air-conditioned house is quiet and comforting, elegant art and beautiful quality deco make all the difference between a commercial hotel and a quality family-run Inn. We arrived when it was empty, so we got to peak into each of the gorgeous rooms before collapsing into ours, instantly at ease on the Red Fox's king size bed. My y'all spouse is especially difficult with pillows and instantly loved all the cushions and different sizes to choose from. Another luxury - when one is used to the minuscule hotel soaps, shampoos and conditioners - there is a wonderful choice of hand lotion, organic shower gels, and hair products that were truly to die for, especially after a long days drive. The bedroom electric hot water kettle with herbal teas, coffee, filters and tea cup platter were perfect for the morning; it got us going before we made it out to one of the three excellent local coffee houses that were suggested since the communal kitchen was not allowed to be open during the pandemic. Truly sorry we only had one night and could not spend more time in the common areas. I only snapped a few pictures as a reminder to plan a less compact travel schedule when the road brings us this way again, and - making a mental note - to make reservations well ahead of time since this place is surely booked solid if not for our current quarantine restrictions.

We had the Kolob Elk Room upstairs which had two beds, a table with two chairs, closet space, and private shower and sink. Definitely more than enough room! We felt our car was safe on property as it's far back from main road. Honestly would have stayed a second night if they were not booked! They have a communal kitchen. If my phone experience is any indication, and I'm willing to bet it is, Canyon Vista is a 5-star operation all the way around. I had a trip planned in May with my brother from Chicago and a sister from Wisconsin. We decided to cancel due to the future uncertainty of the Coronavirus Pandemic. We also had an AirBnb in Moab booked for three nights. Whereas the AirBnb host has, to date, been rather crusty and unyielding in his strict cancellation policy, Canyon Vista has been the exact opposite. JoNell communicated warmly and demonstrated complete and immediate understanding. She agreed to reimburse us for the two rooms we had reserved without making me go through hoops or through any unpleasantness whatsoever. The manner in which JoNell handled this cancellation, during such a stressful and difficult time for all of us, shows that she is a bonafide caring person. And a caring person is going to operate a place of business in a caring and thoughtful way. I can't wait for the pandemic to be long gone and for my siblings and I to reschedule this trip. I really want to meet JoNell (and I think you should to); plus, her place truly sounds lovely!

It's the little things like that that make a stay extra memorable. My only gripe (and the reason for the missing star) was Sunday morning when I went to grab coffee and the window wasn't open at its posted time.
