Thinking about my experience at Red Olive, there really isn't anything I can fault them on. They offer the same style thin based wood fired pizzas that I would rate at a similar level to those at Ladro, Casa Farro, DOC and +39.
It's really hard to separate all of these places. DOC perhaps has the best pizza, closely followed by Casa Farro, closely followed by Red Olive, closely followed by Ladro.
One particular item on the Red Olive menu is mind blowing though - their nduja (spicy calabrian salame specialty). They have this spicy delicious sausage on one of their pizzas and in one of their pastas. You definitely need to experience this.
I'd also recommend the St George's pizza with pork sausage, salame, peppers, onion, mushroom, chilli.
If you find yourself at Deco bar next door, you can often order off Red Olive's menu because they have a special relationship. That means boutique beers and delicious pizzas. read more
