I love red mango, I go to the one in court st in Brooklyn all the time. They literally are the nicest people, I usually get the acai bowl and they make it nice and pretty and take their time. I had the complete opposite experience here. The store was nearly empty and the girls working were so rude. I ordered the acai bowl and it was nothing like what I usually get. Absolutely disappointed. And when I asked them why it didnt have the usual coconut and honey they said it doesn't come on this kind of acai bowl. This was my first time at Red Mango - I normally hate those pinkberry-esque places with 'healthy' ice cream, but I actually really enjoyed this one. Love the self-service aspect - I could control how much I got - and they had quite a few flavors. I swirled original and strawberry - then you move to the topping section, which has a number of options. A few scoops of fresh mango slices and tapioca pearls I was done! I had a pretty small amount of yogurt and toppings, and I think my serving was ~3.50. Not too bad. Yummy froyo BUT I ordered delivery a large regular and a small Nutella. Both were yummy but upon eating off the top swirl I found both of them hollow. I'm not talking about skimping a little I'm talking about you can see the ridges and stick quarters in the center of both of the cups and the quarters not even touch the froyo which only lined the edge of the cups. I might get stabbed for this review. I know this. But I wasn't that huge of a fan of Red Mango. Maybe it's because I went in with my expectations set too high. My colleague tried to get me to take my anticipation of the froyo down a notch so that I wouldn't be shockingly disappointed. Needless to say I didn't heed his warnings. The plain Jane I am tasted the pumpkin, but opted instead for the vanilla. Decided to put a scoop full of crumbled knock-off Oreo's on top. Really the yogurt lacked the creamy goodness that I was expecting. It was too tart for a vanilla. Maybe I should have went with the chocolate. Maybe I should have never went there? Love the prices, love the location, love the wide array of froyo options... just didn't love my vanilla froyo. I first visited a Red Mango in Korea in 2004 and FELL IN LOVE! When they opened in the states, I was so happy. This review is for this particular location. This location allows you to make your own froyo and add your own toppings and pay per ounce. This is my preferred way to order my froyo, so that I can add a bunch of different toppings and not get hit with a huge bill. The service is pretty good, although when they first opened, I think most of the servers didn't know how to make the smoothies yet as they were meticulously following the recipe. I think they've gotten it figured out now though! My favorite toppings on the original froyo: strawberries, mangoes, cinnamon toast crunch They also have the spoonable yogurt smoothies with peanut butter. YUMM!! Very tasty and filling. I first tried it when they first came out with it, so they offered heavy discounts. Now, it's a little too pricey, but occasionally, I will get one. I'm simply in love with these frozen treats, particularly on a hot and humid summer NYC day! This place always has patrons, but never really a line which makes for a perfect in and out, grab your frozen yogurt to go back to the office or walk over to the Seaport type of deal. Unless of course you want to stay indoors, for which they have enough tables/chairs. I have only tried the frozen yogurts so far and I am liking the self service and the opportunity to try or not try every single flavor available. I always end up having the original and pomegranate as my base thought. Love those. There are plenty of sides as well from fruit to candy bars, I prefer mine "plain," however. Never comming back! I was heading home after a gym session and wanted to get a shake(I love shakes, drinking one almost every day). I usually buy from the street but the guys from 3brothers weren't there. So I decide going into red mango...bad idea. I see they'r prices are double compared to the guys I buy from. Anyway I decide to buy from those rude ass workers who were on duty that day and didn't really wanted to serve me...but I wanted a shake. So finnaly they take my order after 5-6 minutes(preety much if you consider that I was the only one in the ''line''). So the guy starts making my shake. I ask him not to put me ice cause I don't like ice not in drinks not in water and definitely not in shakes. And he gives me half cup of shake. I look at him and say nicely that the cup is half empty. Coming here made me feel like a kid in a candy store, the topping selection was ridiculously extensive, even more so than 16 handles! And in my opinion the froyo was better, I only tried the tart flavors (which aren't that tart at all) while my sweettooth friend had the "classic" varieties. The mango flavor was absolutely delicious but you can't go wrong with any of the flavors. As I recently tweeted to Red Mango Corporate, I will probably singlehandedly be the reason behind why this location WILL run out of their Taro flavour daily. I used to always get Greek Coconut, which was tangy and refreshing, but upon seeing Taro, decided to just give it a try. That small little sample cup completely blew my mind - best damn fro-yo I've EVER had, hands down. Sweet and creamy with a really pronounced flavor, for me, the Taro is delicious just by itself and needs no additional toppings (gasp, I know). While I would've come in no matter the condition of the store just to have some of that addictive fro-yo, it's just icing on the cake (toppings on the fro-yo?) that this particular location is always clean, has friendly staff, offers wi-fi, and carries the freshest fruit. It seems to be part of a chain, or feels like one (negative), but the people were friendly and fast (positive). I've recently engaged a very specific diet so it would have been nice to get more details on their basic offerings. I've developed a Red Mango problem. I need to tithe my salary, like the Bible said to, but dedicate it to Red Mango funds. Honestly I was never a big fan until they let you DO IT YOURSELF. Is it an American thing? Why is it so much fun? Oh but it is. You can mix all 8 flavors and no one will yell at you!! Also toppings are DIY! Then you weigh it and pay (a lot) according to weight of it all. The staff is always nice enough, although as someone pointed out they always seem confused for some reason. Hah, it's true. Supposedly it's healthy and all that, but when they brag about all the health benefits I can't help but think of the Seinfeld where they all pack it on eating the "fat free" yogurt. I love it too much. The seasonal flavors are really fun- my faves are Summer Melon and Caribbean Coconut (Peppermint is a miss for me). This Red Mango is my FAVORITE.. Two words: SELF SERVE. I usually prefer less yogurt and more toppings, and here I can get whatever I want! They have about 7 or 8 flavors, but I usually just get the plain yogurt. The reason why I really love the self-serve aspect is because I get exactly what I want, and I usually pay LESS than I do at a traditional yogurt place! My only complaint is the way they have it laid out.. I wish the topping stand allowed people to serve themselves from both sides. Sometimes if there is a long line, you get your yogurt and then it starts to melt while you're waiting to get your toppings and pay. But even so, I still give it 5 stars because it's self-serve, which automatically makes it 10 times better than any other Red Mango/Pinkberry/etc. read more

We had a very unpleasant experience with someone working there a few minutes ago. We initially bought ice cream there and they charged us double the price (30$ instead of 15$). We noticed the mistake back home called the store to explain the issue to get a 15$ refund as we understand that mistakes happen : the employee who made the mistake was in training so no problem for us as long as the issue is corrected.
