Do not eat here! This is one of the only asian places that delivers to my house so I gave them a chance 3 times. The first two times were not great, but still edible. The third time was horrible. I couldn't take more than one bite. It had a rancid odor and a weird congealed texture. The chicken wasn't black but tasted like it was completely burnt. And I will never know, as long as they charge an additional 20% for delivery. They already add a separate charge for delivery, and moreover I would have tipped the driver. I expected a lot quicker service, and I can't help but think that it would have taken a long time even if we had called ahead. We've been seeing their advertisements in the mailer so decided to try them out. They were very friendly when we ordered and picked up our food. The food was ok, not great. Our egg rolls were fresh and not greasy. My sushi roll was fresh and not mushy. Both dishes were not greasy although they didn't have a ton of flavor. Bettebrthan being filled with soy sauce and cranking up the sodium though. Chicken in gen tso was crispy and had plenty of sauce. We will order again for the good price. I ordered from this place because I saw it was new on grub hub. I looked at the menu and saw they had a lot of choices and they delivered, so I figured I would give it a try. I ordered wonton soup, two eggrolls, and chicken and broccoli. When I open the bag the whole bottom was saturated with oil from the chicken and broccoli that was leaking from the container. The egg rolls were literally dripping grease. The won ton noodles were very starchy and overcooked and the chicken pieces were mostly tough and filled with gristle. On top of all of that, everything was flavorless. It was the worst Chinese food I have ever had and I'm including malls, airports and street vendors. I have never been tempted to go to a place and demand my money back more (wish I had). I didn't get sick from the food, but a friend of mine did. The only positive thing I can say is they delivered their crappy food in record time.. I'm thinking they should've used that extra time to cook beyond subpar food. The flavor was either meat that was freezer burned and cooked..or meat just about to turn. We will not be going back. I didn't get sick, we used the ribs as dog treats. I drove past the place monday at 7:30 pm...and they were closed. Considering chinese take out is usually open on Christmas ...I doubt they closed in observation of presidents day. Got delivery twice. It took about 40 minutes both times. Not too bad. The sushi was good. Not great. It tasted fresh. I usually get sashimi so I really would have noticed. It's the only reason I gave them 2 stars. Not so the Chinese food.. The items in their Pu Pu platter were the Standards. The first time time I ordered one, it was all too overcooked for my taste, and consisted of what seemed like generic Chinese restaurant pre-made frozen fare. I ordered from this place using Beyond Menu app New Years Eve. I've ordered from Redhouse before and never had a issue, but this time I wish I ordered from somewhere else. My delivery driver was unprofessional and rude. All because he parked at the wrong building and refuse to get out of his car so I can find him. Then when he got tired of me not finding him proceeds to drive off with my food only to stop at the end of the block and storm down the street, continuing to tell me that it was my fault and that he was parked at this building. I proceeded to tell him that he went to the wrong building and he knows it. That him waiting for a long time was his fault that I've been outside looking for him,while he sat in his car. I went back inside my building I called Beyond Menu and asked who employs the drivers, and they stated the restaurant does. My boyfriend then called the restaurant and they acted like they didn't care. That if I wanted a refund I would have to call BeyondMenu. I am sad to have to do this review. I've just moved to Elkins park and am trying new places who deliver to me. I was excited as this menu is Chinese, Japanese, a little Thai, etc. So I ordered a little of each. I was surprised it took 45 minutes in a Thursday at 7:10pm. Had to call check on the order. I am willing to overlook that if the food is worth the wait!! Salad with ginger dressing was a nice little salad but dressing was mostly water. First disappointment. California roll was just ok, they forgot my side of spicy mayo. Ordered tom yum soup which is quite large. So sad to find EXTREMELY spicy ( and I like spicy) but hardly any flavor. Literally did not eat. Wasn't gross, just not good. Ordered combo special chicken with mixed veggies, spicy, with pork fried rice. The rice was great. The chicken had a rubbery texture and tasted like it had a weird sauce or seasoning on it. Did not eat. Ate the egg roll which was basic, no duck sauce packets, or any packets. No napkins, etc. $28 including a 1.50 delivery fee and tip. Might try again different dishes, maybe a teriyaki dish. I just need a go to drive place, but I was very disappointed in tonight's order. Ordered thru Grubhub and was given a 35-45 min delivery estimate - took an hour and a half. Driver was rude, didn't realize at the time, but he pulled up in front of house and just kept honking the horn. Didn't know who it was until he finally called (didn't get out of car). Food meant to be hot was lukewarm at best and food meant to be cold was also lukewarm. I will say this tho - very much so enjoyed their sushi and fried dumplings.
