I liked the happy hour a lot. I got confused at one of the listings and ordered something not on the happy hour (which is totally on me) so when the check came I was confused because it was higher and they didn't give an itemized check at first. When I asked for clarification the bar tender seemed a bit irritated which I could have just misinterpreted. The staff is always so friendly and the vibe of the North Loop location is great - fun, darker lighting on the inside and a great patio! I'm giving it 4 stars because I wish they had more options haha. The group I went with couldn't find much they were interested in, since burgers weren't really their thing. The Birria burger I had on this past trip was disappointing! The flavor was meh and it was very messy. I also had a side salad which I did really like. Phenomenal service from the minute you walk in the door! The manager was checking on tables and our waitress was friendly and bright. Their food options are great for anyone, even those with sensitivities or allergies. They have a wonderful drink selection as well, a little more on the pricy end but not odd for its location. Our charcuterie plate was filling and had wonderful selections on it. The wine was top notch as well. The dining area is warm and relaxing and gives off chill vibes. Red Cow is massive. They have a large outdoor patio and the inside could easily accommodate small to large size parties. During my visit the restaurant was nearly empty so I may have missed the lunch rush. I was able to pick from any table and get seated quickly. My waiter was very friendly and patient while I debated over a burger vs the chicken sandwich. I opted for a spicy chicken sandwich with tater tots. I don't know many people that would skip the opportunity to relive their school days by ordering tater tots. The food arrived to my table very quickly. The spicy chicken sandwich was delicious! The chicken was both juicy and crispy. The tater tots were perfectly cooked as well. They had a nice crunch to them without being too overcooked. I easily got two meals from my meal. I ordered the brownie batter milkshake that came with caramel. It was very rich. I ordered the smallest size and I still couldn't finish the milkshake. I can easily see two people splitting a small milkshake. I can definitely see myself coming back to Red Cow when I visit the area again! read more

After having a dunkel taster; the waiter didn't return for a good half hour + to ask if I wanted to order ( he did apologize profusely for his lack of timely follow up.). I didn't have a chance to try a cocktail but next time I definitely will! The ahi crisps are a MUST!!! So delicious- my boyfriend is not a fan of any raw fish whatsoever, but this was made so perfectly that he actually loved the dish and said he would eat it again! (Win for me!) that was only the beginning.. We also ordered the Parmesan truffle fries to start. My one year old son LOVED them & we finished the whole basket lol. Now, I live a normal burger, but this veggie burger (made of bean and cashew which I assume is proprietary) was phenomenal. The cheese curds were surprisingly lighter than typical cheese curds.
