I had one late delivery and almost didn't order again, but I am OH so glad I did. Every other time the service has been exceptionally quick, the food piping hot, and every darn dish is delicious. The dumplings were the typical thick, wonton Chinese style. I thought it was a little sparse with the filling. We ordered a Szechuan tofu, Beijing beef, orange chicken and moo shu pork. The Beijing beef and orange chicken are battered and fried. The batter was too thick for me. Although it was crunchy, there was just too much batter. The tofu dish was tasty and the moo shu pork was good. I think the moo shu pork could have had a little more pork in it. Overall, the food was okay. Would it be my first choice? Probably not. such a huge disappointment. if the food was actually flavorful this place would be amazing. they package good to go so nicely so it never spills, portions are large and affordable, but ITS SO BLAND. ordering items like king pao chicken and the firecracker chicken should mean spicy (when it's labeled spicy) yet not a red pepper flake in sight. tastes like soy sauce in chicken with veggies. if i have to add spices and sauces and chili oil from my pantry to my food when it's hot from the restaurant still... that is an issue lol. even the texture of the egg drop soup just did not seam right like it wasn't fully cooked. we've given this spot many tries but will never be ordering again. read more

It was one of those nights. No dinner was planned. My wife and kids were hungry and neither one of us had the desire or energy to cook dinner. I was tempted to order pizza, but thought that there had to be something better. Through the Yelp app I ordered Chinese takeout. I was excited to try a new place and very hungry. The app told me it might take up to 45 minutes for the delivery. At 45 minutes I checked the status and it said they were cooking my food. I figured it couldn't take much longer. At 1.5 hours it was past my kids bed time and I was starving. I decided to call them. They answered my call and explained it was going to be another 20 minutes. Needless to say by the time the food got here I was extremely frustrated and even if the food was phenomenal (which it wasn't) my experience was terrible. This may be an isolated incident and the food was okay. At some point I may try again and update my review, until that day the highest they get from me is a single star (because I can't give them zero). read more

We ordered lettuce wraps, honey walnut shrimp, beef, and shrimp tempura. The honey walnut shrimp was mostly just crusted honey. There were very few pieces of shrimp. I'm actually surprised that it turned out the way it did. The food did not taste fresh, with the exception of the beef. The lettuce wraps did not look appetizing at all. Most of the food is good but there is major problem. Egg drop soup. The soup I recieved had tofu and crab in it. I did not notice the crab at first as it is never in egg drop soup but then I noticed things were not right. You see I am allergic to shellfish. Lucky I noticed after just a couple bites. We found another American Chinese restaurant to-go. My parent's family friend suggested this place to us. First, I noticed their Chinese restaurant name is completely different with their English restaurant name. The Chinese name is Pleasant/Happy Lamb/Goat, a popular Chinese Cartoon. I actually like the Chinese name better. lol We only ordered egg flower soup, salt pepper fish and Chinese lamb kabobs. It was really delicious! And I was not disappointed in my lamb kabobs at all. I added a bit of sesame oil into the soup which made it more yummi-lious! We had some leftover after the dinner. Next morning, I just dumped all the leftover into the a pot of water and made some rice porridge without adding any seasoning. Wow, best leftover ever! The staffs were pretty friendly. Midvale Utah - I've been here a few times with family because it's super close. It's reasonably priced and yummy enough. We've had a variety from spicy tofu on the non-American menu, black bean chicken (very yummy), spicy beef (tasty, not really spicy), walnut shrimp and more. It was all yummy enough for a quick meal but I personally would probably never pick this place unless I was REALLY craving some Chinese food and totally unwilling to make the drive. We're from Seattle area so we are used to having great Asian restaurants. We struggled to find a good Chinese restaurant near Kearns. We went to 7 ro 8 restaurants, some of which were really really bad before we found Red Corner Diner via Yelp. It is by far the best Chinese restaurant we have found so far. The service is excellent but we did have to ask for chopsticks rather than it being offered. The food was fantastic, The Mu-Shu pork being our favorite. The pot-stickers and spring rolls were also fabulous. I preferred the Hot and Sour soup to the Egg Flower soup. Red Corner is our new favorite Chinese restaurant. The food delivered is ok. Just ok. It is standard local Chinese fare. Everything I have ordered has just been ok. I feel there is a general communication gap when I've called in an order. The menu has numbers next to each item, but the people I have ordered from do not know the corresponding item numbers. When calling know the name of the dish you desire. Be ready also for a delivery fee and at least a 60 minute wait. The gist of the review: basic food, reasonable price, nice to have a place local that delivers. Favorite item: walnut chicken.
