I've been riding red coach for two years now because you really can't beat the price but it can definitely make for a rough travel day. Night trips can be better than day trips but don't intend on sleeping the majority of the drive. This is my fifth or sixth time riding and the least enjoyable experience so far. The busses are old but this one is the oldest I've ever been on. The shocks are similar to those of a wooden roller coaster and the interior condition is as if it's been used for high school field trips or inner-city public transportation. While trying to find the lever to lower my seat I was forced to stick my fingers in gum not once, not twice but three whole times. And even though I'm the fourth seat up from the back, the scent of urine coming from the bathroom (door tightly shut) is enough to make me want to gag. I'm accustom to rough traveling, so all of these things alone weren't annoying enough to make me want to write a review until we stopped at our only alloted "rest stop", the Orlando location... 2 toilets for the entire facility and 1 single water fountain. Since the bus can be a little cramped at times, I like to pack light and in the past have only brought a single water bottle and have filled it up at their single water fountain, which would usually be enough to get me through the 9 and a half hour ride. Only this time when I tried the fountain it was broken.. Management had been kind enough to put a sign above the fountain that said "water $1" but when I went to ask the attendant where I could buy one she promptly said "we don't have any water right now.." and went back to texting. We need water to survive, Red Coach Orlando. Total bummer and way uncool. I'm a hungry (and thirsty) college student attending a university 500 miles from my hometown so I have no doubts I'll be grudgingly returning to Red Coach in the future..The one upside to RC is that the drivers are quick and I have gotten to my destination on or ahead of schedule every single time. But moral of the story, don't expect to be comfortable or catered to. Pack like you're going hiking and won't have access to food or water for 8 to 10 hours. Bring a blanket and dress in layers because it's either going to be hot or freezing (there is no in between). Clearly the red coach is for necessity, not luxury so if you're looking for a relaxing ride spend the extra cash and take one of the more expensive services. ZERO stars if I could - Stay away. This company has the worst customer service, rude employees and they delay trips without giving you prior notice because they don't have enough staff or buses. I'm not sure why the company is still in service, I'm going to file a complaint directly with the Department of Business and Professional Regulations. There is a group of people currently at this Orlando station waiting to depart to Miami on a delay because they don't have a bus available to leave at 11:59pm as scheduled, and without and email or any prior notice we just have to wait without any explanation and on top of that deal with a VERY rude front desk "customer service" agent. Who runs this company, and does anyone care that people are now stuck here and delayed because of their poor planning? This is my first time riding red coach from Miami to Gainesville. I will say the seats are comfortable, and the bus has power outlets, BUT the wifi did not work for anyone on the bus, they don't let you get off at any of the service plazas to purchase food/beverages, and they make you wait at a red coach terminal in the orlando airport for over 30 minutes. This terminal does not have any food options except for a vending machine. I must say I had high expectations, but I was very disappointed. The 30 minute stop was just a waste of time...all the passengers were just sitting in a waiting room while starving! read more

Received an email from Redcoach that the bus was leaving an hour and a half later than scheduled. Call the corporate office and was told yes the bus is leaving at 1:30 instead of 1159 and that it will be no problem. Went to the office there's no one there waited over an hour actually almost 2 hours before anyone showed up and then were told that we're going to be put on a bus at 2:30. After waiting again till 230 we're then told that the bus is going to be there on till about 3 o'clock and we may not leave until 330. Now I took my niece to the bus station has a flight to catch in Fort Lauderdale which she is barely going to make at this point in time. I have been here for four hours and have to drive home at 4:00 in the morning. I usually park at the airport, but recently had to take a long trip and didn't want to pay the $10/day that they charge, so I decided to give a shuttle service a try. I definitely won't be using this one on my future trips. First, I had to wait around about 10 minutes for someone to even start checking me in. Then another 20-30 minutes to get loaded into a van. That wasn't too bad. I was plenty early. The problems came after my return flight. I called for pickup on my way to baggage claim. Still ended up waiting about 30 minutes for the van to show. During that time, all of the other shuttle services showed up 3-4 times each. It turns out the driver was dropping people off and picking people up at different terminals. I think they only have one van. Then we get back to the station and I'm refused my keys because they said I hadn't paid. If I didn't pay, why would they have taken me to the airport in the first place? I had paid in cash, so there was no proving it with a credit/debit card transaction. Luckily for me, I saved the receipt, but I had to tear apart my bags looking for it. When I proved to the guy that he was wrong, there was no apology or acknowledgement that he made a mistake. No words. Just put my keys on the counter with a grunt. Finally, I get my keys and go to my car.... to find it unlocked. At night. In an unfenced parking lot. For god knows how long. I won't be using their Jetway Parking service again. read more

Redcoach picked me up from my Disney World resort hotel in a shuttle that was a black van. The shuttle took me to the bus station and then I boarded the bus. The bus left the station and took me to West Palm Beach. I am still alive. I am giving Redcoach a five star review because I want to be clear to those looking for bus companies in Florida that Redcoach is reliable if you want to travel from point A to point B and live. In that way it is a lot better than some of the other sketchy bus services I looked into. But yelp needs a better system for rating services like these, because no one is likely going to leave a yelp review of a bus if it does not get them from point A to point B alive and relatively on time. That's why the only reviews of Redcoach here say it didn't show up, it was too late, etc. Let me be clear: Redcoach is in no way a five-star service. I paid way too much for Wi-Fi that didn't work and a bus that left over a half hour later than it was scheduled to for reasons unclear. The shuttle was about 10 minutes late, although it makes sense, because the shuttle can't be at every Disney hotel at once, and some stops will have to be made before others. Keep that in mind when you see the expected arrival time of 5:20. They also did not tell me what color the van shuttle would be - I had to call and ask myself. Which brings me to the single five-star element of Redcoach - the customer service. Kenny was down to earth, extremely attentive, and helpful. Worth the money? Maybe not. My bus was scheduled to leave for 5:15, by 3 they knew they were delayed by an hour. Instead if sending out an email notification saying they were delayed I sat at the bus stop confused until I called and they told me they were delayed until 6:15. They were still wrong and didn't pick up until 6:45. Very angry, should've of sent out an email informing us about the delay!!!!!!!!! read more

The front is so packed there is no chance of being socially distant mean while all others on the bus have a whole row to themselves. The air conditioning only works in some rows and things are thrown beneath the bus. If you can, drive yourself or take a plane the cheap bus ticket isnt worth it. read more

While the interior of the bus is much nicer than a standard long-distance bus, there is no wifi connectivity whatsoever. I've ridden on these buses many times and each time there will be wifi for the first hour, and then zero internet for the rest of the route. Also, the entire bus smells like the restroom in the back. I was so nervous having my college student use this service after reading so many negative reviews but I thought they deserved a positive review for our positive experience using Red Coach to travel from FSU to USF. Online booking was easy; information in terms of stops, addresses, etc. was clear and accurate; price was reasonable; bus arrived on time and made stops and ensuing departs on time; reached our personal final destination on time; bus was cool and comfortable; driver drove conscientiously. Second or third time that I booked a ticket with this company, and it will be the last time - hands down. I tried to book the ticket online but it would not accept my credit card. I tried all combinations of my mailing address. Called to book on the telephone, and they told me that it would be a $10 charge, and to book online with BusBud. Very unprofessional. The morning of my trip, I was at the West Palm Beach bus stop 30 minutes early. Waited for an hour. No bus. I called the company and they said that it came and left. Another man was waiting at the bus stop and had the same experience as me. I send them proof that I was waiting at the bus stop. I sent them a video and my detailed rideshare receipt. Red coach is refusing to refund me, and relatives had to drive 4 hours to come and pick me up. The $85 means that much to them, I guess. They never had the decency to call me to follow up. Customer service is deplorable. I will never use them again. I'll rent a car or fly, but not with these guys. All this nonsense and their buses are not even nice from the reviews that I have read of this lame excuse for a transportation line. read more

Absolutely worst customer experience i have ever encountered. From the front desk at the corporate office to the bus drivers themselves they treat their clients like dirt on their shoes. The bus began by arriving at the station late and leaving even later, then within 10 minutes of leaving the bus stopped and turned around without any explanation. We were told when we returned that the bus had a mechanical issue and were berated whenever someone asked if the bus would be ready soon. After we returned to the bus within two hours it broke down again on the side of the highway and we were offered no explanation again. I called customer service and they were as rude as the driver and front desk. our trip isn't even over yet. This is the third time my daughter has taken this bus to Tallahassee and back. It's also the third time it's been over an hour late getting in to Orlando. I understand traffic, but the bus driver stopped an extra 15 minutes to get himself food after being stuck in traffic. Why have a schedule if you don't care about sticking to it the best you can. I have put off writing a review on here because I wanted to attempt to resolve this issue ourselves and then with the help of BBB. Anyway here I am. My husband and I filed a claim on 10/23/17 for his trip, 10/20/17 from Miami to Tallahassee. To start with his First class coach broke down shortly after leaving FLL stop heading north. They were stranded on the side of the road for 3 hours in the dark, pushing midnight. It was too hot to stay on the bus, causing everyone to have to stand on the side of I-95 for the length of this mess. When a new bus came it was the smaller Business class coach which is fine, but not equivocal to ticket price that was purchased for First Class. On the return trip to Miami, the driver would not turn the overhead light off when he asked. He specifically traveled both ways overnight to sleep with 2 issues, one much bigger than the other. We did not file a claim for the second issue of course, but it should be mentioned, especially since the outcome of the claim was 50% off a future one-way trip. We expected full refund of the first trip, not only because the driver provided the number for refund, but also because it is the correct thing to do, given that situation and the following, as well as having paid for First Class Coach. I again appealed for full refund and was emailed a vague response weeks later stating, "We cannot refund the ticket as we have changed our payment /refund system". They then offered a full one-way fare for next trip, however we can not and will not travel with them again. As previously mentioned, I filed a complaint with BBB and their response is the same false reasoning of, "We cannot refund the ticket as we have changed our payment /refund system", referencing a delayed bus? Although the return trip was delayed nearly an hour due to a missing bus, we did not file a complaint for that reason or the lights issue. Just more proof that they do not take customers seriously. We do not accept this lame reasoning of being unable to process refunds for the obvious fact that every business has a banking account that is able to produce checks to pay necessary, business related items. In addition to this, the various other reviews on BBB and Yelp prove that they are able to send refunds via check to addresses given. There is 0 customer service with this company and its astonishing the way they run things. They provide 1 phone number and if you are lucky enough to reach the "customer service" agent, they will always excuse themselves from being able to help you, sometimes nicely, sometimes rude and condescendingly. Executives or the "wecanhelp" team, hide behind an email address responding only after 10 business days has passed from each email sent. If you can travel problem free with them than great. However if you do have any issues like us and others, do not expect any fair play when dealing with them. read more

A bit on the pricey side, but they're worth it. If you're a veteran or a student, then you get a discount (you gotta call in and ask them to assign it after you sent them a picture ID). It's a paltry 10%, but they charge it on each trip, I believe, so it comes out a much bigger discount. I've traveled with them multiple times from Miami to Gainesville and I've made the same trip in my car and other bus companies. While you can get there cheaper with other bus companies, you pay for what you get; a crowded bus full of teeny boppers. Gas was starting to add up (I did 80 mph average and filled up once I got into town, so with the current gas prices, $100 wasn't unusual. I not only arrived stressed (4.5 hours on the edge of your seat is longer than you may believe), but I was wasting oil, tire tread, and other such things on my car. I figured for the same price (basically), I could arrive a few hours later well-rested and relaxed. Furthermore, it's nice to be able to go online and check out the seating scheme and find a seat suited to your styles. They do have televisions (small ones) and internet. Sometimes the internet goes down (major inconvenience to me) and sometimes they have their TV's on when you're trying to sleep, but it's a bus with a maximum capacity of 27 people. Trying to please everyone is unrealistic. Bring earbuds if this is of any concern. They make a "quick stop" in their Orlando terminal to refuel and continue, so it does suck. However, their stops have been as slow as 20 minutes and as fast as 10 minutes. But they do say 15 minute stops, so 5 minutes give or take isn't bad. As far as luxury goes, this is the best that there has EVER been in my opinion and I've taken buses from Miami, LA, Texas, buses in Mexico, and in Germany (Germany came the closest to rivaling them), and never have I seen such quality for the price. If you're tired of driving and causing wear and tear to your car, this is a great alternative. Plus, you're helping the environment! So, it's a good deal in my opinion. read more

Red Coach USA is a "luxury coach" service that operates out of its headquarters in Orlando, FL. Red Coach serves Tallahassee, Gainesville, Tampa, Ft. Lauderdale and Miami, as well as Atlanta, GA. There are other destinations in Florida, check the website for further info. Red Coach buses only seat 27 passengers. Wi-Fi Internet service, power outlets, on-board movies, and trays are available at each seat. The seats are wide, leather and plush. They recline to 140 degrees - 40 short of flat. There are cushioned leg rests, that flip out from the rear of the seat in front of you. The foot rest is at the bottom of the leg rest. Of course, there is a restroom at the rear of the coach. I rode Red Coach for the first time this past May, and again last month from Atlanta to Orlando. One of the best things about Red Coach is that the buses are not slow, and they make their stops at colleges or Pilot Travel Centers - no dingy bus stations. We departed at 600A, made stops in Tifton, GA (15 minutes), Gainesville, FL (at University of Florida), Ocala, FL (a brief stop only to pick up or let someone off). We arrived in Orlando at 200P - 8 hours later. We took a free shuttle to the airport to rent a car. Fares are not expensive, but they are not cheap either. Red Coach runs specials from time to time. Took the bus from Orlando Coach Station, at 1045, plenty of time to board a 1900 pm international flight in Mia. However, after a 10 min drive around McCoy Road, the bus returned to the station with a mechanical problem.. We continued our journey with the same bus and broke down on the Turnpike..no explanation of staff, no feedback.. Gor of rhe bus in Fort Lauderdale and paid 75$ for a cab to get to Mia, worried bus could brake down again. Very stressful experience, will never be repeated, big 0 from me read more

I took Red Coach from Miami to Orlando on January 31 and rode the VIP bus. This bus has seats 3 in a row 1 single and 2 together. While it was very comfortable, the bus was dirty. Driver was nice and got us to Orlando on time. Pick up was prompt as well. Price was around $43 one way. I didn't realize the different times were different buses. Their website is pretty bad, very amateurish and doesn't clearly provide enough information. The bus ride was the best part of my trip though. Lie flat seats, very wide and super comfortable. Unfortunately they do not provide any water. There was a bathroom on the bus. I then took the Red Coach from Orlando back to Miami on Feb 4th and it turned out I was on the "business class" bus which is completely different. The seats are 4 across, 2 on each side of the bus. They still recline, but not as far, and seats are not as wide. As a result I was sitting next to a man who had broad shoulders and I felt squished. Fortunately I was able to change seats. This bus was also dirty! When I said something to the man at the front desk, he said "I just check in people, I don't clean the bus" Well, who does? This bus had been sitting at the station for over 30 minutes, left late and as a result was 15 minutes late to Miami. It is pretty annoying to sit down, put your hand in the seat pocket and pull out trash! There is no excuse for this! Both buses were dirty. The driver was also pleasant, but the business class bus is not nearly as comfortable. The fare on this bus was around $33.00 They have an office/terminal in Orlando with seats and a bathroom as well as a vending machine for water and a few snacks. There are no other terminals with this company. They do not provide water on the bus, but both buses did have toilets. The employees are not well trained, not informed and not empowered. Each one seems to think "I just check people in, or I just answer the phone" not willing to go the extra mile to solve a problem. Management needs to revaluate their business. If there are other choices to get between airport, in the future, I will choose another company. read more

I've used this service quite a bit in the past but not so much recently. I just did Orlando to West Palm Beach. Driver, Javier, was personable and efficient. Fellow passengers were pleasant. Did notice the LCD screens are no longer working or just not being used. No matter. The wifi was working fine so passengers had either books, movies, or music or slept. My grandmother went to Miami from Gainesville, a 6 hour trip. During the whole trip the bathroom on the bus was closed. She asked the driver to open it or give her the key, and he refused, he told her that he can only let people into the bathroom in Miami. When they got to Miami she asked the driver again, and this time he said he couldn't open it because he had to take the bags out. So she finally left without using the bathroom. It seems that he didn't want people in the bathroom so he didn't have to clean it. It is not acceptable for an old lady to be that many hours without being able to use the bathroom. This company sell you the comfort on their buses. But how can a person have a comfortable trip when they are not able to use the restrooms? read more

It's 68 degrees outside and the driver is insisting on running the ac full blast and claims he has no control over the temp. It's beyond freezing in here. Went 12 hours from Atlanta to Miami and couldn't be more satisfied! I chose Red Coach because it was the cheapest option and I plan on using it again because of the ridiculously comfortable reclining chairs, free movies, cleanliness and safety. Not to mention the electric outlets at each seat and free WiFi, which I'm using right now to write this review. Only complaint is we ran 30 minutes late at the bus transfer point, but when you're riding for 12 hours anyways, time isn't of the utmost importance. Good stuff. read more

I almost never write reviews. First time trying it. BAD IDEA. A bus thats nice isn't worth anything if its NOT ON TIME. A sat patiently along with other waiting for the bus. After 30 minutes- nothing. Called and said bus was going to be 2 hours late. I scrambled and got a rental car for 100$+ dollars and barely made it on time for by flight. Called for refund. Best they could do was provide "credit" that is NONTRANSFERABLE and expires within a year. And if your ride is cheaper than the credit, you lose the rest of the credit. Considering that I don't expect to be riding a red coach in the next year, this is useless for me. The supervisor blantly said she agrees with their policy and stands by it. NEVER AGAIN. I'm going on greyhound or cheaper more reliable services and if it's late and they don't give a refund, I will only be in the hole a small amount. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS! Only do it, if you a) dont give a **** b) have money to burn c) don't mind being late and having to find another way to make it to flight etc on time.
