I am only giving them 4 stars because they never seem to have orange juice. The store most of the time is clean. They have an A rating which makes me very happy. I recommend going here for breakfast and NOT the kitchen door. Maybe if it was the year 2008 I would say go to Kitchen Door, BUT NOT ANYMORE! I typically go here for breakfast. They make a yummy egg, cheese and bacon hero sandwich. When you order a cream cheese everything bagel they put the right amount of cream cheese. Everything from what I've had is very fresh. I refused to go to Tost because their breakfast is more expensive. Granted on each of the corners you have four options pfc, tost, and kitchen door. I've never had anything else from Meera which is another reason why they are only going to get four stars for now. Also note that it cost $5.50 if you get a hero with cheese, egg, bacon and a everything bagel with cream-cheese. If you want a whole wheat bagel it is an extra $0.25. To feed two people for $5.50 not to shabby. The owner and all the workers who are here are very nice. Their coffee is very good. I prefer their coffee over DD any day. They are literally across the street from the E & M train. They have a lot of options for drinks as well as a huge selection of candy and chips.

This place gets a lot of foot traffic at lunch time but the lines move fast. The food options are broken down into 3 stations/areas. They are the salad, pasta and sandwich stations. Being a picky eater options are often limited in certain regards at places but there are more than enough options here. There are vegan, whole grain and gluten-free options available. There are a few lunch options featuring your typical soup/salad combos's as well as others. Most of the sandwiches are prepared ahead of time but if you want something added/different they will make a custom sandwich/wrap just to your liking. In terms of spend, you will probably spend between $13-$17 on your meal when it's all said and done. This can be seen as pricey by some but to me this is typical NYC lunch pricing. I can taste the turkey chili right now....mmmmm

When I got to LAX after snacking on the pesto pasta salad all day and feeding it to my 2 year old son, I found a long curly pubic hair at the bottom of the food container. The service was fine but I am so, so disgusted at the unacceptable presence of human genital hair. Customers beware!

The owner(s) are in nearly everyday during the week as far as I'm aware and they'll make sure everything you order is precisely what you wanted. After one or two visits, they'll also recognize you immediately as you enter through the door. The menu isn't very sophisticated; it primarily has a variety of breakfast sandwiches (which are served all day) and other simple combinations for lunch. Nevertheless, you can tweak anything on the menu - add to it, subtract from it, substitute something - to your liking or simply make your own sandwich. It's very simple and maybe we certainly need simple once in a while. The prices are incredibly reasonable so if you're willing to invite simplicity served with incredible hospitality then I urge you to give this place a try. The store is just a stone's throw away from St John's University, so they get a lot of hungry students at lunchtime. I wandered in to give them a try after seeing my Yelp buddy, Matteo's pics from 11 years ago. There are no pics of food, so I decided to fix that. Prices are more than reasonable and great for budget conscious students. The menu is simple & straight forward without crazy combo sandwiches with wild names like at some other Queens delis. The Philly Cheesesteak is probably the most complicated sandwich they have and you have a choice of cheese, for which I opt for American. They ran out of hero rolls, so I settled for a round Kaiser roll. It comes with grilled onions & peppers, all for $7.99+tax and you even get a bonus can of soda! I love a nice, freshly made sandwich and I love a great deal! In these days of sky high food prices, it's refreshing to find a local deli that keeps their customers in mind. I know I'll be back to try more of their sandwiches and even the breakfast specials. There are even a few tables if you want to enjoy your breakfast or lunch hot off the grill.
