Garbage is handled in an environmentally sound manner, according to government regulations. Sure, it's still best to reduce the amount of things you throw away in the beginning, but there will still be some things that just can't be recycled and need to be dealt with. The general public can bring trash here (cover your load or you'll get charged double). You can also bring recycling or household chemicals, etc. There's a shed where you can leave chemicals, paint, cleaners, etc. and take them for free. I'm making a mental note of that so I can remember in the future. They are building their last "cell" which is a space where the garbage is disposed, covered and methane gas is extracted for power. Once that is full, then this landfill will be at max capacity and our trash will have to be shipped to Utah county. This is a great facility that is handled very well. I wish we weren't such a wasteful society, but since we are, we need places like the Trans-Jordan Landfill to manage the excess.

I don't think anyone on this planet drives by a storage facility and says, "wow, what an awesome place to spend money." I don't think anyone even cares about these types of businesses.......until they need one. I had some rather expensive furniture delivered before we were ready to put it in our house and I was suddenly in need of a place/. I went to THREE different places to find a unit to rent and I got the run around over and over. The final one was on 7th east right south of Sandy city self storage. There was a sign on the door they said 'be right back'. I, along with 2 other customers sat outside in the middle of the day for more than 20 minutes. No one came. I suddenly had visions of my high school prom date ghosting me after dinner...and became frustrated seeing as how this was the third go aground. I googled storage units near me and up popped sandy city storage. And it was just a couple blocks away. I pulled up and met a man named Bailey. He was friendly, fast, efficient and had me in and out within 10 minutes. Voila. Finished! When I came back a week later to load in the furniture, he again was there and helped me get situated, and was extremely helpful. Now, several months later, I went to check out and couldn't remember the process to get into my unit. He smiled and then helped me out again. It's like Thai guy loves his job. It's like he is super proud to work for such a great....albeit....boring company. Bailey was fantastic!!! So, if you need to store l crap, or treasured jewels, give him a call and you will be glad you did. ....I wonder if the person ever came back from their break at that other storage place..... oh wellZ. Thanks Bailey!!

I tried unsuccessfully, to register for another company and it kept refusing my entry, even though it was filled out, correctly. I then, googled 'computer recycling in SLC' and Devin answered the phone - that was refreshing and it was on a Saturday and he said he could do, Same Day Service, Wow! All the other centers, were closed on the weekend and you couldn't speak to a live person, anyway and the registration method, doesn't seem to work. Devin was great, he let me know the time frame that he could come pick up our three computer towers and then called 20 minutes before, to let us know that he was on his way. He was timely, friendly and informative and broke our hard-drives in front of us, so we didn't have to erase or do anything with our computers. 5 Stars!
