I did not feel I received good customer service with Reclaim. I agreed to purchase an item they had listed for sale on the third day of the estate sale. My shipper showed up for pick-up and suddenly Reclaim was nowhere to be found. My calls and voicemails went unreturned. I wish I hadn't tried to do business with this company. It just because a headache and I felt my time was disrespected and wasted when all I needed was a simple return of call so that my shipper was not waiting around for hours. Not a great way to win customers. Won't do business with again or recommend to others. read more

I went to a local "estate sale" hosted by Reclaim. Essentially the home owners hired Reclaim to host a garage/moving sale because they were downsizing. As I walked through the rooms, some items had a sign saying "Free" and when I inquired about the item I was told "someone already claimed it." Personally, I would have notated that on the sign. One of the bathrooms had used bottles of knock-off perfume (some of which had very little left) for sale at a ridiculously high price. I came across a few Longaberger baskets and asked one of the workers if the lid was included because it was not marked with a price, it stated on the packaging that the lid went with the basket, and it was placed underneath the basket. The employee told me that IT WAS included with the basket price, but when I went to purchase the basket, a blond lady (who appeared to be the owner or manager of this company) said the lid was not included in the price because the basket was priced too low to begin with (although they do the pricing). I explained that one of her employees told me that it WAS included and it was stated on the package that it went with THIS basket. I showed her that the package was not marked with a price and was sitting underneath the basket. She argues with me in front of the other customers, walks away, comes back and says "all of the other items are priced" and insinuated that I removed the price tag! Her employee said "it was never marked" so the manager/owner just came up with a random price on the spot. I found that to be very unprofessional. I provided my email address to get my credit card receipt emailed to me and she initially misspelled it and when I corrected her she said "yeah, ok" but I never received the emailed receipt. She had some people giving her their information for offers on certain items and when they left, she said "that's not gonna happen, it's too low." So why accept their personal information? Bottom line...this company seems a bit shady and the owner/manager quite unprofessional. I won't be attending any more of their "estate sales." read more

Bottom line up front: You may have better luck with communication through email than by phone. Make sure you get what timeframe a "window of time" entails. The crew was nice and friendly. They did do the 5 things on my list. The work was performed to mediocre standards at best. They left early without a thorough cleaning. I will not rehire and don't recommend Reclaim for cleaning. Full details are below. I purchased a 4 year old home and wanted the place polished up prior to move in, so I bought the Living Social deal. I called the number on my Voucher to schedule a cleaning on Feb 25. I did not receive a return call, so the next day, Feb 26, I followed up with another phone call. No answer, so this time I followed up with an email to the address stated in the voice-mail message. I did receive a reply email a couple hours later, she explained they were busy at the moment and would call me later to schedule my appointment. Rather than a phone call, I received an email stating a 3 pm appointment for the upcoming Monday. The next morning, Feb 27, I confirmed 3 pm appointment and stated the house will be empty and wasn't sure about focus areas yet. Later in the morning, I received an email stating they needed to cancel the appointment as they were moving and needed all hands on deck. At this point, I asked for a refund as I wanted the place cleaned before I moved all my stuff in (understanding they were busy, I just had a timeline to make). At this point, I had been working with Alissa, and now Juliet has stepped in. Suggested she could have her crew come in the next day, Feb 28. I explained closing on the home was scheduled for the next day and I would gain occupancy 2 days after wards. She explained to me the refund would be done through Living Social but maybe she could help. Later in the evening on the 27th, I received an email from Alissa saying they would go ahead and fit me in for the original appointment and explained to me appointment times are a "window of time". I responded by asking what time the crew will be there so I could ensure someone would be there, no response. Monday morning, I sent an email to confirm the appointment and put together a list of focus areas after being in the new home over the weekend. I received an email back 1.5 hours later stating they are on task to be there "around 3 pm" and was reminded this is a "window of time". I responded immediately asking about the ability to complete the focus areas, no response. At 2:32, I received an email stating the crew was there and no one was at the house to let them in. At 2:37 I received a phone call from Juliet telling me the crew was there (I was in the process of responding to her email) and needed to know how long it would take for someone to be there. I explained to her I scheduled someone to be there at 2:45 to plan for this "window of time". I told her it would be about 8 minutes until someone was at the house. She told me, this is why she has a "window of time" because she pays the crew every second. I never received any information on a time frame this "window of time" entails. Had I received this information, I would have made sure someone would have been there. Once inside, I was told the crew began cleaning 5 minutes after arrival at 2:55. In the order of my focus areas, are the results; in the bathrooms: there was still soap residue on the shower surround and fixtures were not dusted. The blinds and ceiling fans: still had dust left on them, was told they were Swiffered. The wood floor on the main level was moped all the way as they walked out the door. The walls were Swiffered, I don't know how well yet. The kitchen counters were wiped down, although needed to be done again and the stove top was cleaned but could have used a Cerema Bright cleaning. They were out the door at 4:15, 1 hour and 20 minutes after they started cleaning. Had the work been completed to a higher standard, I wouldn't be bellyaching about them leaving early. Since it wasn't, I have an issue with the thoroughness to which the work was completed. If you have a Living Social coupon, or are scheduling them regularly, make sure you get the "window of time" in advance. I scheduled someone to be present at 2:45 for my 3 pm appointment (was there at 2:50) yesterday, and explained the crew would be there "around 3 pm". I guessed roughly 15 minutes would suffice for "around 3 pm" and "a little before or after" as explained to me day of appointment. read more

My experience with Reclaim was the most stressful aspect of my husband's death. I have never had the misfortune to deal with such an unprofessional business before or since. I had hired them to clean, organize, and sell many household belongings in preparation for selling the house. The owner was rude, superior, and disorganized from the first day. She pestered me frequently by email to get certain things done within a ridiculously short time frame - a day or two, but when I had questions, they were rarely answered. Since her preferred method of communication was by email, I have written documentation of "conversations" in which I specified items that were NOT to be sold. One item in particular, our son's desk that he had constructed by hand with his father, was named in multiple emails - especially since my son had placed all of his special items that he wanted to keep in the drawers of that desk. She assured us that the desk would be closed up in a back room and not sold. After the sale was over, this same desk was loaded up, along with things being taken to the dump, and had been broken in half to fit on the truck! After several angry conversations, in which she claimed that I had never told her to save the desk, and then changed her story to not being responsible for keeping track of every little thing, she brought back EVERYTHING from the truck and dumped it in a pile in the garage for us to pick over. My son was able to recover only a small portion of what he had set aside, and the desk was destroyed beyond repair. She told me I would have to pay her to collect everything again and take it to the dump. Additionally, I was told by several friends who attended the estate sale that most items were overpriced, and that the owner refused to negotiate for lower prices. In short, what was already a stressful situation was made infinitely worse by our dealings with this company. read more
