I would give 0 stars if I could. Our experience with this installation company has been beyond frustrating. We signed our contract with Lowe's and paid over $7,300 in full on June 7. This company was assigned to our project the very same day. For nearly two months, we were given excuse after excuse, delays, and little to no communication. Every time we tried to get an update, we were met with more runaround instead of actual progress. Then, on July 27, we were told they were no longer servicing our area, after sitting on our project for weeks. Because of their failure to complete the job or communicate honestly, Lowe's is now attempting to cancel our installation altogether. This company wasted our time, tied up thousands of dollars, and left us with absolutely nothing to show for it after months of waiting. If they knew they couldn't complete the work, they should have been upfront from the beginning instead of stringing us along for weeks. Their lack of professionalism, communication, and accountability has been unacceptable. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering using this installer think twice. Based on our experience, they accepted work they ultimately did not complete and left their customer to deal with the consequences. read more

Still waiting on a fence gate to be FINISHED. Ordered supplies from Lowe's in June and it is now early September and they've only finished half the gate stating that the materials were broken upon delivery, which was not our fault. Within five days we received the new supplies and then they shoved us to the back of the line again and made us wait 3 more weeks for them to come. Last Friday they showed up, rang our doorbell and then used the excuse that they didn't want to walk out back because of our dogs, but our dogs were inside the house and the back gate was wide open because it's been broken for months and instead of calling anyone they just canceled on us and now they are making us wait almost 2 more weeks again.! I can't get anyone to talk to me directly. They just keep making excuses and I will never use Lowes or this construction company again. read more

Had one minor issue (not anyone's fault) just a post settled a little inward, but they are completely committed to coming right back out to fix it. Long review ahead. We bought a vinyl fence from Lowe's, who contracted the work out to REConnors construction. The fence job was supposed to start on 6/10/2024, but after a mixup on the location on the fault of the business, did not start until 6/11/24, with 2 employees. After laying out the fence and digging about 4 holes, the job completed for the day because the ground was too compact for a manual pole digger. On 6/12/24, the 2 employees returned with an auger that they rented. A few hours in, the auger broke and they had to go get another one. Shortly after that, one of the employees fell ill and left. On 6/13/24, one employee returned alone. On 6/14/24, one employee returned alone again. About midday, other employees arrived to help finish the fence as they had another job to start on the following Monday. There was excess dirt everywhere, but we were just glad that the job was complete with the amount of issues that arose. On 7/15/24, the gate handle no longer lined up with the latch and one top rail separated from the corner post. Someone came and fixed the top rail, said it wasn't "crimped" to prevent it from coming out. Relined up the gate to connect with the latch. On 9/30/24, another top rail separated from a post. One entire section of panels blew out with another top rail. Took about 2 weeks for someone to come out to repair. Another issue of the rails not being "crimped". At this point they claim that they went around and checked every single rail to ensure that this wouldn't happen again. On 4/29/25, 2 top rails and panels from 2 sections blew out. The post in the middle of them broke and the bottom rails cracked. On 5/2/25, I followed up with RECONNORS to see where we were at with the request, was told that we were waiting on Lowe's. On 5/5, Lowe's called and said that RECONNORS is claiming the damage was due to an act of nature, therefore Lowe's would not cover it without me paying $900 in labor. I immediately called RECONNORS and was told that they never said that and that they would contact Lowe's. Spoke to Lowe's on 5/7, was told again that it's an act of nature. I called RECONNORS again, and was FINALLY told that they are claiming act of nature as well, since if it was truly an error on their end, the panels would have BEEN fell out. So they're psychic now? Why not wasn't I told that this was the case when I first started following up? And they are making this determination from PICTURES. No one EVER came out to assess. After some arguing and some choice words, they said they would send a manager out. An estimator came out, not a manager, and is claiming a "defect" in the post. Refuses to accept blame of poor workmanship. Refuses to agree that the fact that NONE of the posts had enough dirt or concrete around them to prevent them from being able to move with the slightest wind could have caused it. However, he did acknowledge that the first time a section blew out, they did it as customer satisfaction, even though stuff wasn't done correctly. He also acknowledges that they aren't going to fix it because it would require "too much labor" to fix ONE POST and 2 sections of panels. Mind you, I have an extra post, I have extra rails. None of the panels broke. I would have had more respect for the company if they said it was going to be too much work from the beginning instead of claiming some act of nature BS. These fences are designed to withstand wind for a reason. No one would ever do them if they didn't. As of writing this, it is 5/15/25, and I have STILL not had a follow up call from them after their estimator wrote up whatever he wrote. I did however speak to Lowe's today, who says the company are standing by their assessment, although they refused to contact me directly. I ordered a vinyl privacy fence through Lowe's and this was the contractors that Lowe's hired for the job. This goes down as some of the worst contracting work I have ever seen. I don't mean to me critical of someones looks, but the two guys that showed up in their loud rusted out truck, looked like the biggest meth addicts and crack heads this side of the Mississippi. They would show up about 11:30-12:00, work about an hour and take their lunch break, come back for about another hour, take a break, then work for another two hours and leave. Took them 5 days and then they stopped leaving an incomplete job after I started complaining about this horrible job. Each night, they left my yard covered in garbage, from drink cups to cigarette buds. They even left trash in my neighbors yard as well. They broke my garden house nozzle and left a gash in my hose making it inoperable. The side of my house has a gap large enough that an animal or child could fit though, didn't dig one of the posts deep enough so there is a hump in the middle of my fence, and left a 7 inch gap under my gate and claimed it was because of a hill, when in reality, the yard is flat and they didn't want to dig a small trench in my flower bed. They used smaller panels randomly in some spots which now makes the fence look funny and unsymmetrical. They then had the nerve to reach out to Lowe's asking for more labor. For a fence that cost almost 12K, I would expect way better work. I don't know where Lowe's hires these contractors, but this guy even joked to me about how he was locked up in prison at one point. I'm in the process right now of going through Lowe's to get this resolved, but I currently have an incomplete job and have to have my dog on a leash every time I let him outside. Bought a backyard fence through Lowe's. REC was called to install the fence. Lowe's made multiple mistakes shipping the items, when REC showed up to install, Lowe's screwed up and didn't deliver the proper materials. REC did a phenomenal job working with me to make sure the fence was still installed in a timely manor. Was very please with the customer service. The fence looks great. I would easily do Bussiness with REC again, Lowe's not so much. read more

I ordered a fence from Lowe's and R E Conners, Ltd was subcontracted for the install. This project began in March 2025 and is still not complete. Installers couldn't find the material within the materials provided. Broke gate tab posts so more had to be ordered. Installed gate latches and drop rods on the outside of the fence. The top of the fence is extremely uneven and all the gates drag the ground. They will be back in the middle of September to move the latches and drop rods to the inside but I will have holes, so they said they will put BOLTS in those holes. That is not what I paid for. They usually wait 2 weeks after products were delivered to come and install but now I'm waiting over 4 weeks. The first crew they sent was very knowledgable but since then it has been a nightmare. I have been dealing with Lowe's but this firm won't stand behind their work and has no respect for customer service and peoples personal property. read more

Not sure where to start. Pros: 1. Great workmanship 2. Quality wood 3. Fencing guys where amazing Cons: 1. Took over 3 months for project to start after full $20,000 payment was made 2. Sales rep never secured the waiver to run my deck to the property line. 3. Deck was cut back from 10' to 5' but only $3,000 of the $10,000 total for this deck was returned. 4. Deck crew arrived by 9am, smoked a joint in the car until 9:30 then started work 5. Deck crew wrapped up every day no later than 2:30pm 6. Deck crew took a minimum of 4 breaks between 930 and 230 to smoke additional joints 7. Decking manager was constantly complaining about the customer while onsite. He made comments such as "if my dogs acted like that I would kill them." Referring to my dogs barking at them. He also talked about me walking around my yard with no shoes on and dog poop everywhere. Prior to this install my dogs went out on a chain 1 by 1, I know how far the chain goes out and always stopped before reaching that point barefoot. 8. Deck manager out right lied to the zoning manager telling him I said my property line was farther away than it was. 9. Deck project got put on hold due to lack of getting the exception and the deck being 1/2 built 1' over the property line. 10. Took over 2 months to get refund due to communication issues in their office 11. The delay ruined our birthday party we had scheduled for our son 12. $0.00 was given as compensation for all their screwups. There where many more issues but not enough room to add them all. No idea of the quality of the work because they can't seem to get the job done. They were supposed to install a fence earlier this week. I was told that they needed me home to walk the property before they started. I was told that they would call me prior to arrival. Neither happened. I discovered that they had come early with no previous phone call and that they were digging holes in my neighbors yard. When I was looking for the survey pins to prove the fact that they were not digging in my yard. (The pins were covered with dirt from their digging. Previously they had been easily visible.) I was told that the plans were incorrect ( no idea if this was true or if they could not measure) and they couldn't adjust them. I was told " no idea" when I asked who I needed to contact to get this resolved. The men left without even properly covering the concrete they had opened. After contacting Lowe's I have attempted to get them rescheduled, but apparently the office staff (who were at least pleasant if not helpful) can't give me a timeline this week. read more

Installer showed up. Only one person was sent to install the fence. Took the person 12 hours which I find bothersome that anyone has to put in a long day like that by themselves even though he told me he liked to work alone. Was not told this. Top of the fence is not level across the one side, it dips down and the posts are at various heights. Installer was friendly. I don't care if a person wants to work alone or not but these kind of jobs should be done by a CREW. read more

I absolutely cannot recommend this company. I have phoned twice asking for a visit to receive a quote on several projects and each time was told someone would call that day or the next to set up the appointment. The last time I was told the individual was with a customer and would call me right back and if he didn't call back and they'd assign someone else! Each time I explained that if I did not answer leave a message and was told that would be fine. No messages yet after 2 weeks. Why should I call and beg someone to call me?! Are the individuals lazy or discriminates against females calling with projects? I am very disappointed at the lack of dedicated customer service and professionalism. read more

Fence replacement job started on March 28th 2023. Lowes delivered supplies and after fence was torn down along with my neighbors a joining fence crew discovered wrong gate latches came. It took 8 weeks to get the proper latches and my fence completed. End of day 1 I was told that the tree that has always been fenced in my yard cannot be fenced in this time. I was told by salesperson all I needed to do was have my neighbor sign something that gives permission to fence around tree a few feet on her property but company wouldn't do it. Day 2 I got woke up to their argument about the tree again, it took allday to decide were leaving the tree out of our yard and needed to order 2 more corner posts which took 2 weeks to come in and I volunteered to pickup the posts to get my fence somewhat closer to completed but they refused to come out till my gate latches came in. Now it's a month with my back yard open and my dogs and my neighbor dog not having their yards. After 8 phone calls and crying alot they agreed to come out. We put up makeshift gates to block the openings so our dogs could go out. 2 weeks later 1 latch comes in which I go pickup and I was told if I bought my own latch they would install it. I went to home depot and bought a additional latch and lowes said it could be used but would void warranty. So after all this my 2nd latch came in a few days later. A week later they scheduled my gates to be completed. I wasn't a priority at this time. 1 gate went up and now 2nd gate kit was missing parts. Now that had to be ordered and another 2 weeks it took to get my other gate completed. I cleaned up all the trash and bushes cut out myself, they installed the back fence too far onto property and left our irrigation system out of our fence line. We needed to have another company pull our irrigation lines back under our fence cause it wasn't placed where the old fence was placed. Terrible experience and felt harassed at every turn. REC Construction installed my vinyl fence. Although the finished product looks good, the professionalism of the installers and company were terrible. The fence was supposed to be installed the 1st week of June, leaving the materials sitting in my backyard for 10 days. I was told it would take 3 days to install. I was asked for more money for a "hard dig" and informed if I didn't pay that day it could be delayed up to 3 months or more. So, since I wanted the fence completed immediately, I paid instantly. Weeks later I was told they would be back on a specific date....they never showed or called. This happened 3 times and when I called the office, I was told I would receive a call back.....didn't happen. My fence was finally installed on August 2nd. All of the trash from the materials was left in my yard for another 22 days. After several phone calls they finally picked it up but then still left a huge, heavy bag of trash for me to deal with and a lawn that looks like complete trash. read more
