They also offer a conversational French session on Tuesday nights. The librarian was eager to help me, and she showed me how to navigate their website to use online resources for FREE! I love supporting my local libraries because they are such a great resource to the community and cater to a variety of interests. Notes: They have nice lounge chairs sit and work in or to read in. The theory, the idea that you can focus on a specific thing to help cure what ails you, or to blame if it all goes poorly. To focus all of the energy on something outside of yourself, and your own autonomy, out of the control of any actual human being. He is often pictured holding an image of Jesus at his heart, and a flame above his head. He was one of the original apostles and is the patron saint of hope and lost causes. St Jude is often invoked to help children with cancer, and there is a huge organization dedicated to it. I like the idea of them helping children, that is a very worthy cause. This shrine is next to the oldest church building in New Orleans, which also held the funeral services for those who passed from Yellow Fever in the late 1800s. It is a lovely shrine to have some reflection upon yourself and life in general. In my recent visit, I was approached twice by different people asking for money, which is kind of ironic. This is next to a Catholic Church who claims to help all people, and a shrine for lost causes. Anyways. This is a lovely spot for a moment of rest and reflection mere steps from the French Quarter.

This place has so much potential, but the entire experience was made horrible by one person, the sound technician and building maintenance guy, Eric. He said he would be responsible for having the A/C on early to cool the building down--he did not because it was terribly hot in there. The microphones that he controlled were constantly having problems. The lighting that he controlled was horrible. He would not honor the contract and open the door timely to allow caterers access. And to top it all off, he talked down to everyone with his condescending attitude.

Roads between here and there were easy to find and navigate. Once here, parking was easy as there were spots in their designated lot as well as out front. There were several handicap spots available as well. The building itself is beautiful inside and there is a cafeteria and theater. The theater was gorgeous and had seating for over 100 patrons. I am excited to bring my daughter back for a showing now that I know that this planetarium is here!
