Best shrimp burritos in the area if you ask me my go-to for a super burrito de camaron. Homemade flour tortillas, very filling great salsa. Ambience is very homey like pretty much visiting Grandma's house. Service is always quick and staff is attentive. read more

These chilaquiles were absolutely on point. Perfectly cooked tortilla chips soaked just enough to stay tender while still holding texture, topped with two beautifully fried eggs with runny yolks that brought everything together. The rice was fluffy and flavorful, the refried beans were smooth and comforting, and the generous sprinkle of fresh cheese added the right salty balance. The fresh lettuce and cucumber gave a nice, crisp contrast, and every bite felt hearty, authentic, and satisfying. This is the kind of breakfast that hits every note comforting, flavorful, and made with care. Easily one of the best chilaquiles I've had. I'd come back just for this dish alone. Highly recommend if you're craving a solid, classic Mexican breakfast. read more

The food is authentic flavor very delicious. Love the portions and home made tortillas too. They have two locations one in pajaro and one in Watsonville. Family oriented restaurant, they have menudo on the weekends. read more

Had been wanting to try Real Colima 2 for a while! I got a pastor super burrito, along with a couple tacos. Overall everything was quite solid, particularly the tortilla on the asada taco. Did anything blow my mind? No, but overall happy with the experience! read more

Real Colima 2 Restaurant - the dining area - Mexican Near Me - Watsonville, California

Let me just say, this place has become my favorite Mexican restaurant. This was my first time coming and it definitely won't be my last. We came to a small house looking restaurant; however, the inside is a lot bigger than I thought. The atmosphere is very authentic and has friendly service. We ordered the Chili Verde plate and Camarones Racheros with flour tortillas. These are the best tortilla I have ever had. Homemade and so warm. If you like tortillas, order an extra because you only get one; however, it's a big tortilla. The food was excellent. Perfectly cooked and the flavors are addicting. I found myself almost wanting to lick the plate clean. The pork didn't have much fat on it and the veggies we cooked perfectly. The tacos are good. I think the chicken taco stood out the most because it's shredded and possibly cooked in salsa. There are corn and chopped green beans in the mixture but it wasn't bad. You can barely taste the veggies The only critique I have is I wish the salad had dressing. But everything else was amazing. Don't sleep on this place, it's a must have if you are in the area. 9.5/10 read more

I LOVE this restaurant. The homemade flour tortillas and menudo have my heart. The staff is kind and i hope they are around forever because they are my comfort meal read more

I loved the quant rustic atmosphere. There was an old, but dysfunctional "Juke box", a blast from the past that once played "CDs". It added to the charm as if it were curated there just be gawked at or appraised. Then, a beautiful appeared greeted me with a warm smile. I had already scanned the menu and found absolutely everything enticing. I asked for her recommendation. "Chile Verde", she whispered softly. I nodded wetting my lips imagining this delicious Aztec recipe dissoluble against my tongue savoring every spice. The Chili Verde was accompanied by smashed pinto beans and fluffy of rice and salad greens, topped with a tomato slice. Thet coffee was exceptional. read more

Love the tortilla and shrimp ala diabla! Good menu. Pretty busy during lunch time. Clean interior. Good service.

Homemade tortillas. Aguas frescas. Need I say more? Caldo de res. Enchiladas. Sopes. Tacos dorados. Caldo de pescado. Hot chocolate. For kids: high chairs. No changing table. No gender neutral bathrooms. The location is great since it's easy to eat right after the beach and before you get on 152. read more

I cannot believe this place gets 4 stars. The food was awful. First they serve bag chips that have no taste and were old and stale. My husband got the enchiladas. They were more like taquitos. They were so dry he couldn't even cut them with a knife. My chile Verde was ok but beans were very runny. Very disappointed. read more

Real Colima 2 Restaurant - By far worst burrito ever paid 24 dollars for 2 good tacos and this nasty burrito - Mexican Near Me - Watsonville, California

Got a huge takeout order from here since my go-to spot was closed already. They serve basic Mexican food at good prices and make their own tortillas! (yum!!!) I ordered the Camarones A La Diabla. It was spicy and very saucy. Came with tortillas, beans and rice. Good dish, though not outstanding. The tortillas were the bomb tho!! My friends found their tacos, sope and quesadillas to be the most delicious of what was ordered. Chile relleno was the most disappointing. Service was amazing, the takeout was packed nicely and they take Credit cards. Thanks for the great experience! I will be definitely be back to try tacos and burritos! read more

What can improve? everything. First hand the waiter is straight to point no welcome or hi. He's there just to take your order and nothing else. Oh and this was a Saturday evening and the place was empty. My husband has know this spot for many years and he definitely knows it changed a lot. He says it's just not the same on portions and in atmosphere. They are so skimpy on the chips and salsa even if it's a big party. But anyway may probably go back, but not as much as before. read more

The ceviche was really good. I know that's not for everyone, but it did look like they had a variety of classic Mexican fare to offer. Modela Negros and other good beers by the bottle. It was not busy when we were there and the food came quickly. Friendly and kind of a down home place. We liked it. (There's a Real Colima 1 downtown that I assume is the same but I've never been there). read more

Horrible food, service isn't much better. Went this afternoon with my dad who was in from out of town, my husband and our 7 year old. I got the enchiladas combo, took 2 bites and that was it because they were so bad. Chicken and tortilla was both dry as hell and the cheese on top was hard and gross. My daughter got a tamale that looked like they nuked it in the microwave and my dad got the juevos con papas which he said tasted like old oil that had fried fish previously and the "papas" were broken up pieces of French fries. We literally left all the food on the table and when the waitress came over with the check and offered boxes we refused. She asked if we didn't like the food and when we told her the issues she wanted us to write them down on her note pad. My dad said "no, we'll post it online" so that we did. Here's photos of my nasty enchiladas (if you can even call them that) read more

I cannot remember a recent time when I went to a restaurant where the food was as bad as the food at Real Colima 2. The huevos y papas that I ordered had the feel, temperature and taste of food that has been sitting on a metal tray under the heat lamp way too long. Worse, the potatoes had been coated or fried in oil that was rancid and had a slight taste of fish. I only ate a very small portion and it was disgusting. The flour tortilla had come out of a bag that had been sitting for too long and it tasted and felt old. My daughter and my granddaughter who were with me barely touched their food (enchiladas for my daughter and tamales for my granddaughter). I will let my daughter review her own food. What a waste of money and time! What a disappointment. Never again. read more

Takes 30 minutes to get a seat and 30 more minutes to get food , food is ok but not worth the wait time. You get one flour tortilla and you need to ask multiple times if you need more or want something plus the salsa is horrible! read more

One of my go to spots! The birria is definitely a must. It's flavorful and the portion size is huge. This is a small restaurant that looks like a house from the outside but don't let that deceive you. The food is authentic and delicious. Saturday was our first meal here. it was a pleasant surprise. The service was very good and the friendly waitress recommended a couple of dishes. Delicious if you don't know what you want for dinner or lunch maybe even breakfast but I'd suggest going here

You can never go wrong with eating at either one of their restaurants I've been going far out of my way to visit these locations Went to the original one in Pajaro about 30 years ago. Then you had to be able to speak and read Spanish to order. Everything is made there and tastes amazing I've introduced my kids who are bug time foodies and they now enjoy insist on traveling for their awesome food You can't go wrong. Even if you just stop In for a plate of retried beans with cheese and their fresh / homemade tortillas with a cold beer I order the campenchana (sp?) and am wowed by the amount of fish that is stuffed into the bowl. Leave stuffed every time Go here knowing you'll get a great meal read more

Real Colima 2 Restaurant - Mexican Near Me - Watsonville, California

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Watsonville. This restaurant has very nice service and really good authentic Mexican food.

We've been coming to this location for about 20 years. I used to love their chile relleno burritos & sopes. My husband went in to order burritos this evening and the place was empty. It took FOREVER to get them. They gave him a couple green salsas and when my husband asked for red they said no they don't have any. He pointed to a huge tub of red salsa and they said no. He asked if they could please put some in a container and again they refused. When we got home the burritos were stuck to the aluminum. The beans were runny and they forget to put rice in my burrito. It's so sad, but after 20+ years we won't be returning. I guess all good things come to an end..... read more

Wow! I had such high expectations after reading the reviews!!! The place was packed so I thought it would be amazing. The service was very slow. We ordered quickly and got our drinks, chips and salsa quickly. There are two salsas the red is decent but the green seems like it's meant to be a sauce. Both are watery and neither are very hot. We got there a few minutes after 11 on Sunday and didn't get our food until after 11:45. my beau ordered chili colorado. The meat was hard and dried out and the sauce didn't taste quite right. The rice and beans were ok. I ordered chili relleno it was decent - a healthy version with veggies in the sauce and hardly any cheese. The tortillas we were served were not handmade (check out the taco truck on the corner of San Martin Ave and Hwy 101 for the best hand made tortillas!!). Two stars? The chili colorado was inedible and the food was very slow. I feel bad writing this. They seem like really nice people running the place. We could have asked for something else but with the long wait we just wanted to get on with our day... read more

Truly wonderful! I love their fish tacos and ceviche. Every meal we've had there has been good. The servers are friendly and helpful too!

Food was less than average. Went there for a nice breakfast, since i was told this was a great breakfast spot. I ordered a menudo plate. the food took approximately 15 minutes to arrive. despite the home-made tortillas, which were delicious, the menudo was insipid and the serving size was dismal. I got so much broth and very few pieces of menudo. Overall the experience was disappointing and sadly, will not repeat. read more
