Elmhurst

I can not say anymore great things about this daycare, except that it changed our family lives…read moreforever. Geneve and her family was a hidden treasure in the heart of Elmhurst and I first saw them when they were playing at the nearby park. My twins were 2,5 years old back then I believe. They were in the daycare until they're ready for school, then they're in the afterschool program until we finally moved to California. My kids spent 4 years at the daycare and it was the best decision I've made. I never had any bad experience with them, they were so nice and understanding even in some cases of emergency, Geneve was willing to work out her schedule for us. The traditional setting that don't allow electronic wasthe bomb! Kids are so occupied with electronics these days they're just focused on it and lacking in all the simple basic essentials of being a kid, like playing, talking, and just having fun. My kids are now almost 9 years old and me and my husband still thinking aboit that days when they were in the daycare because I believe it shaped them to whom they are now. Thank you Precious Children daycare!

It's run by a family of Menonites who not only watch the children but provide entertainment and education as well. "Family comes first" is their motto, and it definitely shows by the amount of attention they pay to each child. My daughter started here at age 4 months, and now at almost 1 year she squeals in delight every morning when I drop her off. She absolutely loves it there! I feel extremely lucky to have found such a place to look after my child, especially after all the horror stories I hear about daycare centers in the area. Another plus is that their prices are very reasonable. I hear there is a waiting list for infants but they are opening another center in the area for toddlers and up.

Forest Hills

TPD will forever be our favorite memory of Forest Hills and New York! Our two children were there…read morefrom mid-2020 to mid-2022 and we left only because we moved out of the state. We first found this gem because COVID restrictions shut down our previous daycare and forced us to find a new care option, but in hindsight, it was such a blessing in disguise and a transformative experience! The owner and teachers were so loving and caring - they prepared freshly-cooked meals from scratch everyday, ensured our young children propelyr rest after lunch and avoid being over-stimulated and going home cranky and difficult for the parents. Though not a Montessori school, they used many similar techniques and spirits. For example, they emphasized learning through five senses, taught practical life skills (like dressing oneself) and emotional regulation along with academic knowledge, involved children in hands-on real-life projects such as making their own snacks (with ingredients prepared and process guided by the teachers like squeezing orange juice), encouraged older children to help younger children, encouraged self-expression through weekly talent shows, and fostered a community among the families by facilitating weekend playdates. The experience was entirely different from the traditional programming in a chain daycare center. As a result, one of our children transformed from a timid child to an outgoing one, and we were embraced into a strong community with long-lasting connections.

We always say it takes a village to raise a child, and Toadlers Pond was a HUGE part of our…read morevillage.  We sent in our son when he turned two years old, and due to the pandemic had never been in a daycare environment before, or even had many playdates or much exposure to other adults, and over the next year and a half the TPD staff worked with him on language, eating skills, coordination, confidence, and so many other things we didn't even expect (like facts about the different U.S. states).  What originally attracted us to Toadlers Pond was the passion and caring of the staff which was evident from our initial video tour, plus the incredible, fresh home-cooked food, which our son still misses very much and talks about.  We also credit TPD for (at least) 80% of our son's speedy potty learning progress, and helping him become a "big boy" about this typically anxiety-inducing chapter of toddlerhood, all with ease and a positive approach, keeping us up to speed every step of the way.  The staff were fantastic about giving us a glimpse into our child's day through pictures and videos posted on their private facebook group, and we absolutely loved the Friday talent shows.  By the end of his tenure at the Pond, our son was beyond prepared for the next step in his education, and we appreciate everything Toadlers Pond did to get him there. We will always be Toadies at heart, and can't wait for our daughter to become a Tadpole too!

When my husband and I arrived we noticed that the place was immaculate and all of the kids were clean, happy, and listened without having to be asked twice. You could tell they felt at home and loved, but also respected the structure. That is exactly what we were looking for. It was the only place I visited that gave me a good vibe especially from the ladies working there, Cindy, Jess, Yeimis and the owner Eleida. We signed our son up and he started when he turned 9 months old. It was by far the greatest thing we ever did for him. On the first day I cried like a baby at work. The ladies sent me pictures and he seemed so happy. By day 3 he was giggling and reached out for Cindy when we arrived and it made my day. It confirmed everything for us. He knew where he was and he was happy to be there! He is 2 days away from his first birthday, and during the 3 months that he has been there, he has blossomed in every way. It's noticeable that they work with him daily on his physical and intellectual development as well as keeping him on a routine. They do activities, crafts, and turn everything into a celebration! We love getting photos daily and look forward to seeing what he has learned each day. He has grown to absolutely love the ALL of ladies working there as well as his new friends. I love that he is comfortable and feels safe. You can't ask for more than that. Thank you for loving Logan and putting our minds at ease while we are at work each day! It is such a relief to know that he is in loving hands. -Noelle' & Jorge
