Choose a Squarespace template, make a few tweaks, and away we go ... right? Three months later, I had a site that I'd hacked to pieces and it STILL looked like something from 2002. Fortunately, before I went live, a friend of mine revealed HER new site to the world, and unlike my disaster, it actually looked like what I had originally envisioned. I immediately inquired about it, and was happily referred to Dolce Vittoria Design Group. Josh and Sophia designed exactly what I had been trying in vain to achieve, and also worked with me to design an eye-popping logo for my brand. When it came time to create business cards, my first instinct was to try to design them myself; then I reflected on the time and money I had wasted on my first web site attempt and thought "lesson learned -- I'm going straight to the experts." I now have killer business cards that align with the logo and site branding, and I have yet to give anyone a card without receiving a surprised comment about how nice it is. (Between the site and the cards, I routinely get the opportunity to plug Dolce Vittoria!)
