From signing them up to one class each last year, they've now convinced me to get them involved in jazz, tap, ballet, hip hop and the elite program. The teachers are amazing (Miss Charlotte and Malaika have both left an incredible impression on them) and I can see the boys' confidence blooming. I'm so excited to see where this journey takes them!

This is my favorite place for laps and workout swims. I…read morethink six in all, but I just use the main pool. With fast lanes and slower lanes its easy to swim at a comfortable pace without feeling pressured to swim faster than you are comfortable. My kids love the kid pool area and beg to go on the big slide. Can't think of anything else other than: "Hope to see ya here!"
My review is limited to the swimming side of things as I've not tried anything else. There are six…read morepools to choose from, five indoors and one outside, the inside pools are all heated. Sizes are varied depending on the intended function, there is a fairly large kiddies pill with two sections, one ankle deep the other varies from able to hip depth and has a slide like a frog, some water sprayers and the like. There is a smaller pool which I see older people lazing in, another fairly shallow pool for kids lessons and a rehab pool for people who seem to have injuries that has a tramp for wheel chair access etc. the main pool it's full size with lanes for fast medium and slow and some lanes for lessons with the balance just to swim. There are life guards on constant lookout and patrol. There is also a huge water slide you can but tickets for when it is operating. All in all an impressive setup. I have seen water aerobics classes going on here also. Lots of parking is available and the place is always busy. They have a cafeteria, lots of change rooms and toilets. Lockers tables and chairs, sports medicine clinic, various exercise classes and a creche. of course there is a gymnasium as well. Do I think the swimming side of things getsa big two thumbs up from me.
GA provides a real platform for never-ending learning…read more I first encountered GA in Sydney when I wanted to learn more about recent developments in technology and innovation. Initially I attended night classes, which later saw me turning to a full-time immersive course in user experience design. The course helped me transition into a new career as well as meet lots of new friends during this exciting journey. Melbourne GA has a group of organised and active producers who are well-involved in the community. I regularly attend their panels & workshops and my personal education has been all the better for it.
I was lucky enough to attend a Yelp event at General Assembly last night -Intro to the Melbourne…read morestart up community- it was awesome :) I loved the space, it is a very Silicon Valley-esque educational eco system. Our presenter Bart was great at conveying a massive slab of information into something that was both funny and engaging (a rare skill). I think that the majority of the attendees gave Bart their email address to receive the PowerPoint presentation which is a reflection of how much they enjoyed themselves. Our Community manager Mel P. Was also there to give a brief overview of the history of Yelp, another great public speaker. Go Mel :) I hope that Yelp partners with GA (that's what the cool kids call it) again :) :)
