Still living like a "squatter" in this 3/4 million dollar property thanks to the USELESS Broker/Realtor at Re/Max Select One. If you actually want to own a decent home, do NOT use Re/Max Select One! The owner has been less than decent: hid the inspection, denied access to the inspection report (I had to hire an attorney to get the inspection report), refused to give me a copy of the closing statement for my taxes. It took months to get that 1 page document. Now after three sessions of mold and asbestos removal, no heat and illegal remodeling, I am slowly trying to provide at least 1 toilet for my three children to use. UNBELIEVABLE lack of integrity at this business. With all of the brokers and realtors in Huntington Beach, go ANYWHERE ELSE! read more

If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would. We had the most personal attention to detailed agent Amanda "Mandy" Adair. She is beyond fantastic and truly a saint. She was diligent when looking for the perfect location, returned phone calls and emails quickly, and was so knowledgable. The end of our transaction was horrible due to the seller and their agent, and the only thing that kept it from falling apart was Mandy and her team. She really had our best interest at heart the entire time and went to bat for us with every detail. We couldn't be happier in our home, and will definitely use Remax Select One in the future. read more

This Office is getting 5 stars from me because of Bridgett Harris. We recently moved to HB from Pennsylvania & Bridgett went out of her way to help our family find the perfect location w/ a great school for our 5 year old son. She even took her time to meet w/ us before we started looking at places and recommended diff local hot spots & restaurants. She was so sweet & willing to help w/ whatever we needed. Kimber Wuerfel cheated us out of our deposit and her assistant Kindra misled us. If you are looking for an honest, ethical realtor, keep looking. We rented a house from Realtor Kimber Wuerfel who worked at this office. (Now she also works out of the ReMax office on Main St. which isn't on Yelp! yet.) The house was in bad shape when we moved in. We made several repairs ourselves (closets, loft, kitchen, etc.) at our own expense and left the house in better shape than we found it. We were surprised to find she had used all of our deposit down to the last penny, to repair things that were already wrong (old carpet, broken toilet seat, poor painting, broken blinds that didn't even have the strings anymore, etc) and to haul away stuff left by previous tenants and owner (old fridge, hope chest, dead plants in pots, scrap wood, etc.). I know she went to school with the owner, but stealing our deposit to help him out? I can't believe the audacity of some people. There are plenty of good/great realtors. I suggest you keep looking until you find one of them. read more

Lance Barker was our go to guy. We relied on him for being our eyes and ears while we were flipping our mother's house. He helped with the termite inspection, coordinated the estate sale and construction work. He even found the wonderful gardener, and kept us updated with the work being done on the house since we are not in the area. He was very accommodating and had great communication skills. He was always easy to talk to, answering all our questions and willing to do what every we needed. Lance was our perfect agent and we got offers on the house within a few days of listing. read more

The only reason this office gets even one star is because Yelp won't post a review without a rating! I'm still dumbfounded at the lack of professionalism displayed by this office. I hired a realtor from this office to represent me on a lease transaction for my oceanfront condo in Huntington Beach. Lance Barker represented my now, tenant, who is a retired real estate broker herself. Lance told her to lie on her application as well as the lease as to who would actually be living in my condo. His words to her were "Don't tell the landlord the truth. Just put down your ex husbands name on the lease and then you and your children can move in and she (meaning me) won't be able to do anything about it". Apparently, this is an illegal misrepresentation but Lance doesn't seem to have any ethics at all and didn't care. I tried to contact their broker, Stewart Thomas, who runs the office to make sure he was aware of all of the misrepresentation and illegal activity that surrounded this lease. He refused to return either my calls or my tenants to get the situation straightened out, leading me to believe that he is a proponent of of this (and so much more) unethical behavior. I was sent a few of the emails that were exchanged between the two realtors where they badmouthed their clients. I would like to tell you about Jerry Del Mauro from Re/Max. I had been looking for over seven (7) months for a home to buy to no avail and then I met Jerry Del Mauro. If you want someone who knows the business and even and most of all the legal aspect, you need Jerry Del Mauro on your side. He is very knowledgeable. He helped me find a home, not just any home but the perfect home for me in twenty seven (27) yes twenty seven days. It is hard to get a home with everyone out there paying cash and flipping them, but Jerry Del Mauro did the job. If you want someone who is going to fight for you and find what you are looking for and in the process get the best price on a home you NEED Jerry Del Mauro. He came by the day I was moving in and help me as well. WOW I was so greatful that Jerry Del Mauro could make this hunt for a home and my move so easy after I had struggled for seven (7) months with a different company. Dear Mr. Jerry Del Mauro, If I could give less than one star on my review I would !!! Jerry,You should reconsider what you have done to avoid your violation of what the law prohibits. Mr. Jerry Del Mauro (Agent) and Mr. Mike Alderson (Inspector): On May 16, 2017. I paid an amount of $ 400 for the inspection of the property. And for whatever reason, the Inspector did not send me the reports that was sent to Mr.Jerry on May 16, 2017 at 9:51:25PM. Jerry (agent) concealed the report from me, by neglecting to disclose this information. On Jun 26, 2017 I discovered that I was deliberately omitted from receiving the inspection report; the dishonesty displayed by Jerry, prompted me to ask Mr. Alderson to send me the inspection report. One day later, on Jun 27, 2017 at 12:11 PM - Jerry forwarded the inspection report to me. Please answer my questions : 1/6 - As the paying customer, I paid Mr. Alderson $ 400 to do the inspection. Why did he not send the report to me, the paying customer? 2/6 - What is the purpose of the inspection/report? 3/6 - Why was the inspection /report only sent to Mr. Jerry, and not to me as well? 4/6 - Why did you not want me to know the problems listed on the report concerning the property? 5/6 - Please let me know why you have kept the inspection / report to yourself for 41 days.
