While staying at Le Tournié, we spent a wonderful few days visiting Agen, walking through its medieval streets and dining in local restaurants. We also visited a number of local towns famous for their markets like Villeneuve-Sur-Lot which included all sorts of locally grown fruits, vegetables and meats including the local speciality: prunes! The picturesque medieval town of Pujols perched high up on a hill overlooking Villeneuve was fantastic. The house itself was wonderfully quiet with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and gorgeous sunrises. I can't wait to go back when the renovated farmhouse is open with its spacious, modern cooking facilities and airy open-plan design overlooking the property. Le Tournié is an amazing spot to discover the region from abroad, or in my case to escape the frenzy of Paris for a while. My only regret was not being there in summer when pool is open and flowers are in full bloom! read more

I spent a weekend here last week and had a great time. The staff and accommodations were great. The chef prepared lunch for us and it was incredibly good, then, after several hours of sitting by the pool and walking in the countryside, we had lessons about French cooking and helped prepare dinner. Even better, we had a person come and teach us about the wines of the region - with lots of tasting :). Everyone was engaging and the whole things was relaxing and fun. And of course, the setting was spectacular - with great views of the french countryside, a picturesque old french farm house and (in another building were we slept) all the modern accommodations and conveniences. I would highly recommend this for anyone who enjoys good food and wants to a relaxing time out in the French country. It was just outside of Agen so easy to get to via high speed rail. read more

I had a wonderful weekend stay and would highly recommend it. The lovely house is in the beautiful Southwest French countryside and has a fantastic pool and a spectacular view. On the day of the cooking course, we were served a delicious lunch with wine pairing. We then enjoyed a nice long walk through the stonefruit and apple orchards that surround the house. When we returned, we began our course with the chef, who shared several delicious recipes and interesting techniques with us. Although the meal was great and preparing it was fun, the highlight was by the wine tasting. A local sommelier introduced us to several (very) local wines which we then enjoyed with dinner. I can scarcely think of a better way to spend a weekend with friends. read more
