I would like to do a big shout-out to Fernando B. Owner of Razor's Edge Barber Shop located in the Pantano / Tanque Verde area. I've been going to Razor's Edge Barber Shop for years and I can say that Fernando definitely deserves the honorary title, "Best Barber " and the hot towel shaves is certainly a must. You would not be disappointed with an outstanding haircut and in a great atmosphere with a very professional individual which I really enjoyed and appreciate the Family Friendly Environment. I would also like to share with you a story that goes untold, a current visit with Fernando at his establishment Razor's Edge Barber Shop help my sister who is currently going through a challenging time. Yesterday my sister woke up with hair loss on her pillow. She was expecting and somewhat prepared for this to occur, but when it does occur It does slam home. We went to a hair salon and they did poorly and this was very Unacceptable. Went to a Barber Shop next door and they were very unfriendly and we didn't feel welcome. I reached out to Fernando and explain the situation without hesitation Fernando squeezed us into his busy schedule. After lunch, my sister felt invited and very welcome at Fernando's establishment. My sister was very thankful for her haircut. After our haircut, I expect my military and senior discount but to my surprise, Fernando said " No charge, the haircut has been taken care of." Outstanding cut and the company was a cut above! Found Razors edge by searching best barber in Tucson. Well.. I was not disappointed. I knew I would get along with these guys as soon as I walked in, lots of banter and BS'ing between the barbers and the clientele. Atmosphere was fun and relaxed, they had multiple TV'S playing a variety of different things from sports, movies and even a kids movie for the young man who was getting a trim. When it was my turn I was cordially invited over and sat down, the barber listened to my input and started removing my excess hairs immediately. Not often am I completely satisfied with a haircut, usually find something missed after or someone is good with a beard trim and not great with hair or vise versa, but this was not the case. On a whim, I woke up one morning and decided that my 3 year old son needed his first real haircut. Based on the recommendation of a couple friends, I called Razor's Edge to get a few more details. I spoke with Danny who was very helpful and when I asked if we could drop in that morning, he was accommodating and told me they weren't very busy. We immediately headed out! Upon arriving, we were able to park very close and we were greeted at the door. The shop is simple, but clean, with sports photos and memorabilia and tvs with various sports on. There were three barbers working, Fernando, Danny and Travis all of which were kind and helpful. There was only one other customer waiting, so we were seen very quickly. Travis was great with my son and made it fun and easy to cut a squirmy 3 year olds hair. He even changed the nearest tv to kids shows to keep him entertained. The cut was quick and thorough and the final outcome looked great! My son even got to pick out a treat. They take cash or card, which made paying easy! We were in and out quickly and it was a great experience overall, we'll be back for sure! read more

Fernando did an excellent job on my hair. Didn't just cut it, but actually took the time to smooth little hairs down all over the head after the cut was done. He trimmed my ears and eyebrows as well as shave my neck and around the ears with a straight razor. Felt very nice. One of the best cuts I have ever had. read more

This place is a joke... There's a dirty little dog that runs around in the shop for one! Then it comes over and jumps on people while they are waiting!!!!! I sit there and there are two barbers, one who is the owner... They are both cutting hair which is fine, I wait... Owner finished his cut then tells me that the other barber will cut me because he is going to lunch... Really moron⁉ why the hell didn't you say something when I sat down... Fernando, good Barber, short temper. Does not have a business like attitude. Two missed appointments due to work and child duties, and he wasn't having it. Straight up told me to find another barber. I went in for a "very light trim" yesterday, which I told them twice. I specifically said to take no more than 1/4 inch off the sides, and to just clean up the back of my neck a little. Instead, I got a full haircut, with at least an inch taken off the sides. Didn't listen to me, and just did what they wanted to do. I won't go back again. read more
