From Chicago, first time at Raza today for lunch. Here are my thoughts:
-This restaurant is very different from every other restaurant we've been to in Mexico so far.
-It is very simple, feels like a home, quite simple decor. If you're looking for fancy, this is probably not it.
-We ordered the guacamole for an appetizer, it was ok.
-But I got the chicken mac and cheese for my entree... and I couldn't have been happier! Good portions.
-It was one of the only "American" dishes I've seen in Merida over the past 4 months.
-The execution was brilliant--white, creamy cheese sauce, with crispy, tender chicken.
-My wife got the short rib tacos, also very good.
-The owners are very friendly. Great service!
-We also ordered a cinnamon roll to go. More on that later : )
