I cannot recommend White Bear Lake Jewelers enough, especially their master jeweler, Ben. I wanted…read moreto upgrade my center stone, but because my ring has a unique two-sided tension mount, multiple other jewelers told me it was impossible without destroying the ring. Ben was the only one who found a way. He removed the original tension setting entirely to create a blank canvas, then molded and recreated a brand-new tension setting from scratch specifically designed for my new stone. He managed to do this while keeping the rest of my original ring exactly the same. The result is so seamless that it doesn't look like a modification; it looks like the ring was originally designed this way from day one. Because my ring is over 20 years old with numerous side diamonds, Ben performed a full inspection and caught several issues I hadn't noticed. He secured loose stones and corrected a faulty previous repair, fine-tuning the piece until it was objectively a brand-new ring. Ben was also a great partner in sourcing my diamond. I was very particular about the specific grading specs I wanted, which made it challenging to stay within my budget. He navigated the search and found the perfect stone. If you have a complex vision or a sentimental piece that needs expert care, go see Ben. He exceeded all my expectations.

We found a gorgeous wedding ring (with wrap), that my fiancée fell in love with. White gold ring…read morewith a rose gold wrap. The first time it went in (to get sized and put together) it came back white and yellow. We sent it back numerous times, each time it came back there was a new issue (rose gold issues, soldering issues, alignment issues, etc...). The store managers appeared helpful at first, and then it went downhill. The only saving grace was the call center customer service. They assisted us in getting a full refund (still in process). I still believe more should have been offered, seeing as how we dealt with this for almost 5 months, and now every ring we look at, is compared to this first one. It has been an emotional roller coaster for us.

My beautiful mother was a quirky human who loved unique jewelry. She also saw beauty where others…read moredid not. Many, many years ago Mom found this ring at n antique shop. The opal middle and garnet pedals made for a delicate and unique ring that she fell in love with. She wore it a few times and then one of the garnets fell out. She gifted me this ring after my daughter was born because she didn't have the patience to get it fixed. Once I got it, it sat in my jewelry box. When Mom passed away on 6/9 of this year I felt it was time to fix this ring. I brought it into Muellers on 8/10 and met with Amy. We discussed resizing the ring and also finding the missing garnet. She assured me she could do it! I got multiple calls from Amy relating to her search and we decided to match the color of the garnet vs matching the color and cut. Amy then recommended fixing the prongs and strengthening the other prongs to avoid further loss of the garnets. I picked up my ring today (2 days after she called and said it was ready) To say I wasn't pleased would be an understatement. This ring is so beautiful and the quality of work beyond what I could have hoped for when I brought it in. I cried with Amy because I was so overwhelmed by the entire experience; also knowing that Mom was beaming Thank you Muellers!

We loved the excitement and professional attitude they had to take great care of us and the ring. Without asking we were also educated on how to care for our ring. We left the ring feeling great about our choice and it came back in excellent shape. I'm not a big Yelp reviewer, but it felt necessary to sing their praises. Thank you Mueller Jewelers!

I first visited this store at the recommendation of a sales associate at JC Penny. I needed the battery of my watch replaced. A middle-aged lady told me a new battery would cost $24.99. I asked if she could give me a lower price, since I knew from past experience that replacing the battery for my watch should only cost $8-$15. She insisted that $25 was standard. I went with it, and came back 30 minutes later. She told me that my watch didn't need a new battery -- the movement needed to be fixed. She quoted me $75-$85. I said I'd think about it. Then I went back again today -- a month later. This time, an older man who was working on a piece of jewelry, stopped what he was doing, and asked what I needed help with when he saw me waiting. I asked if he could repair the movement. He opened up my watch, said that there was no battery in there, and suggested that my watch only needed a battery. And it worked! He charged me $15.99. He added that if there were any problems with the movement or battery, I could bring it back, and he would give me a 15% discount. I'm not sure what happened to the battery that was supposed to be in my watch, or why that lady insisted that the movement needed to be repaired, but I am SO GLAD that I waited. (Also, I saw a couple there who were repeat customers. The man was wearing a shiny new watch. Well, it looked new, but he had it polished here.) *** If you need some jewelry polished or repaired, please give this place a try BUT make sure you are speaking directly with the older man who works at this store.
