I was craving for a good ramen which could be perfect for a cold night ,but I was disappointed. I had the black garlic ramen. The noodles were cooked aldente,the way I like it. It's got a generous portion of charsiu that's very tender and flavorful. Bamboo is smelly, kikurage mushrooms, red ginger ,fish cake was starchy and too soft , scallion,,black garlic oil, pork soup base is sub par, not umami and was not boiling hot. Seasoned egg is not seasoned, it tastes like regular boiled egg. It was served on a melamine bowl . The servers were wearing sweat pants and sweat hoodie which is turn off. I won't be returning here . I can see the mess behind the cashier from where I was seating. ...
I came here for lunch with some coworkers! I love the anime mural on the walls and the large portion of ramen I ordered Ambiance - detailed anime art on the wall- Naruto, demon slayer! - plenty of natural light Service - waiters were friendly - food came out quickly Food - tonkatsu ramen- large portion, the char siu was a bit overcooked and charred for my liking, broth was delicious but could have more pork flavor, noodles were perfectly chewy This ramen spot was pretty good and a great quick lunch spot!
Came to check out Rayaki for the first time on a Saturday evening. For appetizers we started with the fried sticky rice cakes and gyoza. The fried sticky rice cakes were my personal favorite out of the two. I really love the texture of the rice cakes and the honey and spicy mayo sauce was delicious. I honestly could have eaten that whole plate by myself. As for the gyoza it was okay. I'm honestly not a huge fan of dumplings. So I would personally skip them and order a different appetizer if I were to return. As for my main entree I went with the Black Garlic Ramen. This ramen has Cha Shu (Marinated Pork), bamboo, kikurage mushrooms, red ginger, fish cake, scallions, black garlic oil, pork soup base, seasoned egg. It wasn't too bad and it was pretty filling but I think the next time I may try the pork belly over rice. It wasn't too busy around the time I went which was around 5pm. The food also came out pretty fast so there wasn't a long wait.
I went here recently for a birthday party. The space is a bit small. The decor and paintings on the walls were exciting especially for anime fans. Initially this is why we had eaten here. We were greeted at the door and were told we can sit wherever we wanted to. It took over 30 minutes for someone to come and take their drink order. They did not seem to be short staffed. One of our friends in the party decided to go by the register to get someone to take our drink order. It took another 30 minutes to get our drink order and it came sporadically. We did not order any alcohol or any drink that would take a lot of time. We had ordered mostly sodas and waters. We had ordered some appetizers. This had taken more than 45 minutes to get. The pork fries appetizer was absolutely tasty and amazing. The other appetizers that we had ordered were mediocre. We had put in our orders for entrees. The entrees were exactly about an hour to get our entrees that we thought they had forgotten about us. When the entrees arrived they had gotten a lot of our orders confused and had to go back to the kitchen a handful of times. The food tasted burnt and it was dreadful to continue to eat. The chicken was way overcooked and you could not bite through it. Most of my part had gotten the ramen and I got the chicken katsu. Perhaps it was just an off day for this restaurant given the reviews but the service really killed the experience.

We started with the Rayaki Fries, which were crispy and tasty, although we noticed there wasn't as much cheese and topping as usual -usually, they load it up more. Still, they were delicious. The Takoyaki was flavorful and hit the spot. The Eggplant Miso Skewers were a highlight - the flavor was mouthwatering, and they were definitely a standout item. The Fishcake Skewer was good, but nothing particularly special; it was more of a curiosity to see what it would taste like. For something a bit more unique, we tried the Kani Bao Dun, which had a generous amount of kani (crab), and I loved that. I'd actually love to see them make a Kani Onigiri, that would be amazing! The portions for the Pork Belly Over Rice and Pork Cutlet Curry were huge and definitely worth the price. The Pork Belly Over Rice was flavorful, but it had a bit too much sauce, and the broccoli could've used a little more seasoning. The Pork Cutlet Curry was tasty, though it was a bit on the dry and tough side. For drinks, I tried the Brown Sugar Milk, which was very sweet. Once I stirred the syrup at the bottom, it became more manageable, but it was still too sugary for my taste. I had originally wanted the Boba Milk Tea, but they had run out, so I opted for the brown sugar milk instead. I probably wouldn't get it again, but it was worth a try. One thing that stood out was how quickly the staff brought out our food, but after that, they seemed to stop checking in on us. They only came back when we requested the check, which felt a bit rushed compared to the rest of the service. Overall, Rayaki Ramen is a great place to visit, with a welcoming atmosphere, fun anime nostalgia, and a wide-ranging menu. There are a few small improvements that could be made, but overall, it's definitely worth trying!
I've seen videos about this chain and wanted to give it a try. For Friday lunch time rush, it was pretty quiet. The vibe was not inviting and the workers seemed to just keep to themselves and didn't greet us right away to talk about the process. Ordered pork katsu, black garlic ramen, and fried squid. They were all pretty mediocre and nothing to go back for. I don't even want to use my texting efforts on how my entire experience was. Can't remember if they served alcohol, but would prefer doing here with friends and enjoying some apps and drinks. That's probably the vibe needed to make this place a hub... that's my recommendation :]
All I'm saiyan is that Rayaki is super! Come for the Instagram famous murals on all four walls of your favorite anime characters, but stay for the fantastic food. There is a wide assortment of ramen to try, and I appreciated there were so many seafood and vegetarian options (really hard to eat ramen when most places only have pork broth). I was also surprised to learn a little about Japanese cooking techniques. This restaurant employs "robatayaki", which involves cooking over coals. Sure enough, the shrimp in my ramen were charred and smoky. This is an authentic dining experience I've never had at any other Japanese restaurant in the US! Takoyaki was also delicious, and I liked the sauce and ability to wrap it up with lettuce for a fresh contrast to the fried flavor. The service was very quick. Felt like we got our food almost immediately after ordering. All in all, a must try ramen spot in NJ. The walls might be the thing that draw you in, but even if the walls were bare, there would be a lot to be impressed by.
Lovely ramen place in Edison NJ. This is a new spot which is quite popular. The loaded Rayaki fries are amazing and quite a few tables ordered this while we were there. The ramen is excellent as the broth was not overly salty like other places. This place is known for their anime painted walls which is amazing artistry. Love how you just check off what you want on a piece of paper and then hand it to the waitress. Definitely makes ordering a breeze.
I went here for the first time today and my review is based on that. I came on lunch break and there were a few other diners here. I parked in the free parking lot in front of the restaurant. This restaurant is located at the end of a strip mall. Staff was polite and attentive. My food came out quickly. The anime decor is eye catching. I ate the Chicken Katsu Ramen. It was mediocre. I finished the whole thing, and I thought it was a reasonable amount of food for the $15 price. The flavor was lackluster, mostly it just tasted like salty broth with some pieces of grated fresh ginger in it. The chicken was not flavorful at all, and I did not finish all the pieces of chicken. The $.99 grocery store Ramen that I prepare at home in my microwave tastes just as good. I am not interested in coming back to eat here.
I ordered the spicy miso ramen, kani salad, scallop, steak, shrimp, broccoli and asparagus skewer. Omg soooo good!! Hit the spot! I thought the steak skewer was the best - love the marinade/sauce on it. The veggies were also very flavorful and was not expecting the asparagus to be one long spear lol. The scallops were good but small, shrimp small and ok. The ramen I inhaled - I didn't even take a pic! lol. The noodles are so delicious - really feel like it might be top ramen spot around this area. I want to try the black garlic. The kani salad was just ok - I liked that it wasn't swimming in mayo and they gave a large portion - just on salty side. Would maybe skip this. Overall love the food - want to check out the artwork in the place itself! Also I learned the name is a mix of ramen and yakitori (skewer) just in case you were wondering! :)
Craving ramen and wanting to try a new place, my girlfriend suggested Rayaki since I had never been there before. When we arrived, it wasn't very busy, and I immediately noticed the interior, which was decorated with anime characters painted on the walls. Which nice touch that matched the ramen theme. After looking at the menu, we decided to order the miso ramen and the steak ramen. I opted to swap the pork broth for beef broth in my steak ramen for an additional charge. The food arrived fairly quickly after we placed our order. I enjoyed my steak ramen since it's a unique offering that I haven't seen at other ramen spots. I added chili oil to it for an extra kick of spice, which made it better. However, my girlfriend didn't enjoy her miso ramen as much, saying it was a bit bland for her taste. While the experience was decent overall, this felt more like a spot to try once rather than a go-to ramen place. If you're into ramen with a fun anime-inspired atmosphere, it might be worth checking out at least once.
Rayaki is a trendy ramen place with it's notable anime wall artistry. What makes them unique is its extensive menu beyond ramen itself. While it's not a traditional Japanese ramen restaurant (case in point: steak ramen, salmon ramen), it's a good place for people who want options. Pros: +Extensive drinks menu - largest I've seen for a ramen place. Including bubble tea! +Extensive food options-- appetizer, buns, rice plates, skewers in addition to a whopping 14 options for ramen +No ramen is more than $15 and this price includes 1 full egg. Egg traditionally is always an add on item. Chashu are sliced thick. They are not skimping with portions. +Family friendly, good place to hang out with friends and groups, decent # of seating space. Cons: -Too much broth per bowl. While it has flavor, it was not rich enough to be memorable. It's ok. -Spicy miso ramen-- was lacking the real salty miso taste. Was hoping to see a scoop of real miso but alas no. Rec: +Black garlic ramen-tonkotsu soup base with garlic oil. Could definitely taste the garlic, would recommend over the spicy miso. I feel Rayaki is a case of trying your hardest to make the masses happy, but they would probably be better off perfecting and serving fewer dishes. read more

So my friend told me that this new ramen shop opened up in Edison, so I gave it a try. The staff: They are friendly but are not very attentive to the customers. Rayaki Fries: This is delicious and was the best part of my meal. Cube Steak: It was not worth the money for 1 skewer when most places give at least 2 or 3 skewers. Seaweed Salad: This tastes just like any Japanese restaurant. Chashu Bao: The Chashu lacks flavor and the bread was wet and too moist. Steak Ramen: The steak was a bit hard as if it was sitting there for a while. The ramen could have been a little better if they changed the broth from the Miso flavor. The egg did not taste so well in this mixture. Seafood Ramen: They did not clean the shrimp very well because a few of the shrimps still had the veins in it. Green Apple Tea: This had very little apple taste and tea taste. This basically tasted like a badly flavored water. Overall: I might come back in the near future if they fix their drinks and their menu items. My friends kept telling me to give this ramen shop a try and it just ended in disappointment. read more

I honestly had so much more hope for this place. The decor is definitely nice but there were multiple flies everywhere and my table was really sticky Not to mention that the Tonkotsu broth tasted like chicken? It was extremely unflavorful and I'm not too picky with my ramen but in all honesty this was quite literally the worst ramen I have ever eaten. The other guests at the restaurant also barely made a dent in their ramen and seemed visibly unhappy with the food as well. The brown sugar milk is really good though! It isn't tea but it is really refreshing and sweet, especially for the summer. The rayaki fries were nice and crispy but the meat was very dry and unflavorful. Overall, I strongly recommend getting the fried food options over the ramen here because everyone (my partner and I included) seemed to really like the fried food! read more

This spot isn't just for aesthetics. While the vibe & ambience are great for manga/anime lovers, don't sleep on the food! Ordering can't be easier: checklist, pen, make your selections. I tried their Rayaki fries which was topped with chashu & spicy Mayo. Tons of flavor and the waffle fries were perfect. The soft shell crab bao bun was a combo I'd never tried before and it's a must-try if you like soft shell crab. Somehow the fried chicken katsu ramen still had the crispiest chicken I've ever had, even outside a soup! This ramen was amazing. Noodles had a great bite and the soft boiled egg... wow. If you couldn't tell, I really enjoyed their menu. I had to travel solo this time but next time I'm bringing people so we can sample even more at once! read more
Good ramen bowls with great takeout packaging (sounds like strange thing to say, but with indoor dining being closed, I've been wary about getting soggy ramen takeout!). However my takeout experience here went smoothly - all the broths and noodles are separated (and nicely labeled if ordering multiple bowls), and the pick-up was quick and seamless despite the Friday night crowd. I brought a few bowls of ramens for friends and we all enjoyed our orders. The creamy marinated egg was a surprising hit! The only iffy comment mentioned was that the curry ramen had a weak/watered down Japanese curry flavor, and the bowl had no protein (which is actually written properly in the menu, but can be easily missed). Although we didn't eat indoors, the anime decor and art made this spot feel fun and trendy for a younger crowd. I'd stop by again! read more

What a cool addition to my childhood town. The comic-con anime vibe is different, fun and fresh for a restaurant in my parents hometown of Edison NJ. All walls are painted with anime characters, shelves stocked with anime books, and figures standing around the register. Definitely attracts a younger market. The food was delicious. We ordered a couple Black Garlic Ramen bowls which was deeelicious!! The Pork Belly over rice was tender and tasty. The Grilled Shrimp Bao and Pork Bao were both delightful but the pork had more of a flavor kick. The kids loved the Chicken Cutlet Curry which was yummy with or without adding the curry sauce. The Crawfish over Rice was a first for me and I did not love it as much as everything else. The Pork Sausage Scallion Skewer and the Bacon Wrapped Quail Eggs Skewer were my favorites. The skewers were a perfect match with a bowl of Ramen. I would definitely return for ramen, skewers and to try their other menu items. Almost got a 3 star and may have had a 5 star if they enforced the covid safety precautions better. The cushioned seats lined around half of the restaurant invited groups of people to sit, congregate and hang out. Rayaki, not cool or respectful to your other patrons, we felt very uncomfortable. read more

The food was absolutely phenomenal I forgot to take a picture of the Rayaki Fries and Guava Green Tea I got but bother were great. The Green Tea was refreshing on such a hot day without being too sweet. The ramen had such a rich and flavorful broth with wonderfully tender Pork and Great feeling noodles. Service was fast and very helpful. It's very relaxed when you enter the restaurant with amazing art pieces on the wall hand painted and some Manga panels as well with an anime playing on the tv as well to wrap everything up all together. read more

All things considered, Rayaki's food was awesome, the location cool with an funky anime vibe, and the employees were very nice. The only reason I'm docking them a star on my review is the fact that the place was kind of packed with patrons and no one was really practicing social distancing, or enforcing in this matter. The dishes that stood out - ahhh, the black garlic ramen - just as good as I expected it to be, yummy. The quail eggs wrapped in bacon, damn, I am so ordering 2 orders for myself next time and definitely not sharing, lol. The pork bao, really good, better than the shrimp bao if you ask me. Hey hey Adventurers! I stopped by here because I was craving ramen. I've been to this location before but it was under a different name. This place has an anime theme which is pretty cute. Not my style but I imagine a lot of people enjoy it. Particularly the music was very much in line with anime, hype pace, energetic, and a bit too loud for a casual dining experience. Not a good spot if you want to talk so to speak. We ordered the Rayaki Fries which were so good! Definitely recommend as an app but it is a lot of food for two people. We also ordered the pork belly--I'll say this each time I order similar dishes--light on the sauce please. The sauce was overwhelming for the meat and I wish they either made the sauce thinner or less heavy when it's drizzled over them. It was good but I would not order again. I ordered the shrimp ramen, which was a rich broth and perfectly cooked shrimp. I did not like the egg but that's more of a preference of mine. My friend ordered the seafood ramen and they really enjoyed it! Idk if I would revisit but that's prolly because i don't like ramen. But I would recommend this place :) read more
Let's just say that if you're an anime fan or have children who love anime this is the place to come. The decor at this restaurant is what grabs your attention at the door. First let's start with the beverage! My wife decided to get the Lychee Tea which was hands down the best tea I've had in a while. Appetizers!!!! We ordered a couple of skewers for appetizers. After trying majority of the skewers the only downside was the the beef cube. The beef was tough but the sauce was amazing. The chicken and shrimp skewers was ok as well, nothing to write home about! Of course you're reading this to hear about the ramen. Sooooo, I would say the ramen was just "ok" (my favorite word in this review). In my opinion the broth is not as flavorful as I would have hoped. I ordered the seafood ramen and was not fond of the noodles in my bowl. The seafood in the bowl was cooked to perfection but it was no flavor. Although I am not a fan of the seafood ramen I will come back to try another dish because this restaurant is really inviting. As far as COVID-19, this place is taking every precaution to make customers feel safe. Masks, hand sanitizer, carry out, and even a voice machine that announces your order number. I saw Rayaki on TikTok so I just had to come and try it. The anime designs immediately pulled me in. The menu has a variety of options for every type of foodie out there which is great when feeding all types of people. I ordered the veggie ramen, shrimp ramen, broccoli and shrimp robatayaki, and edamame. I do wish the menu theme was more in line with the anime... for example having a Naruto ramen dish or something of that sort but can't have everything right? The food was so delicious. The veggie ramen had a nice earthy flavor and the shrimp ramen was packed with flavor. My noodles were a bit softer than I would like but overall I will be trying it again. The robayayki skewers were so tasty! Who knew broccoli could taste that good?!? All in all, if you haven't been here, please stop by. Absolutely delicious. read more
I made my friend drive me all the way from NYC to come here, because I was excited to take a photo with the Demon Slayer art on the wall! Unfortunately, people were sitting in front of it the entire time I was there (even though I arrived around Saturday 2 pm!) Plus, I love ramen, so I hoped it would be a win win. The Rayaki fries were the pleasant surprise of the afternoon. I just love it when fries come with meat and mayo. They were very filling. The ramen though was a negative for me. I got Miso Ramen, and I've never had ramen this flavorless before. I finished it of course, but I didn't really like it. Onto the service. My friend and I were pretty engaged in a conversation, and we were taking a break from our food because we were stuffed. A waitress dumped a check on our table. After seeing that I was visibly confused, she said she saw that we were talking, so she assumed we were done. This has literally happened to me only once or twice in the past 5 years?? I feel like usually the server would check up on you to ask if you need anything else or ask if you're ready for the check. Overall, the food was affordable, and I would probably come again for the appetizers. read more

My friends have been talking about how much they love they place. Decided to go this past weekend and first thing that truly caught my eye was the anime mural walls. VERY detailed and clean work you gotta love and appreciate the art. I stated with the guava Iced tea. I then ordered the grilled shrimp bao buns the sauce that they added was perfect. For my ramen I usually prefer broth less ramen (haha) but I ordered the shrimp tempura ramen. You get 2 shrimp tempura on the side and it was served with spicy mayo loved it! My ramen was huge and super delicious very filling. The prices were amazing. I loved that they had so many options and also Rabotayaki! Service was great, very tentative. The spicy miso ramen was pretty good! I'd recommend reheating it if the soup and noodles cool down after takeout. I miss having a steaming bowl of ramen at the table I had the gyoza once too, but it wasn't anything special. I think it was 5 pieces and not warm. The ambience is chill but happy. The wall decorations make it lively, and it is very neat. read more
I went to Rayaki on a lunch date with a friend. The ambiance was pretty cool lots of anime drawings on the wall. The artwork was probably what drew me to the location if I'm being honest. As a starter we had the Chicken Katsu Bao down, which was delicious. It had mayonnaise and hoisin sauce and the chicken was cooked perfectly We had a Chicken Ramen and a chicken katsu ramen. I ordered the chicken ramen spicy with thick noodles and chicken broth instead of pork. The chicken was a bit dry and the dish wasn't as flavorful as I had hoped for but I added some hoisin sauce which really helped. The chicken katsu ramen was ordered as is and my friend said it was delicious. We also the pork belly over rice which was plated beautifully and was a decent size portion. It was doused in hoisin sauce. As far as drinks we ordered the bubble teas with the lychee topping nothing to brag about the flavor was subpar. The service was okay, not the best but not the worst. The restaurant was empty but found it hard to flag down a sever. Overall I would go back but wouldn't go out of my way. read more

Food was good. The service was very quick but it also felt like they wanted you out fast. Which makes sense because there isn't a ton of tables to sit at inside so they probably need to try and keep them available. I didn't mind at all we had fun and ate good read more

If you are ever in New Jersey check out this dope ramen spot. They have delicious ramen and small plates as well. Food is delicious and if you're an anime fan the ambiance is so cool. There are anime murals all over the place and they even have anime playing on the tv along with various theme songs as the music. I 10/10 recommend. This is the Edison location but they have others around Jersey. read more

My bf wanted to go to this place because he is a huge fan of anime. Once we walked in we were greeted by a staff and was told we could sit anywhere we would like. It was not busy when we went. We ordered miso ramen and tonkotsu ramen. The paper menu is on the table which is so much easier than waiting for server to take our order. The staff was great. Cant believe the paintings on the wall was from an actual person. So talented. Food came fast and it was delicious. I feel like they should have incorporated the anime characters more into their food. Idk maybe like name the ramen Naruto and then on the bottom of name say its description of what type of ramen it is like tonkotsu ramen. read more

Rayaki is the perfect place for comfort food and admiring the anime-themed decor. The murals are gorgeous and massive. The manga display below the tv that is playing anime are also nice touches to the restaurant. Service has always been kind and quick. Even though the restaurant is small, they make the most of the space with lots of seating. To order, you just check off or write a number next to the item on a paper menu. You can't go wrong with any of the appetizers or Japanese street food on the menu. For lunch, I'll sometimes get a mix of appetizers or get a bunch of skewers with a side of rice. Any of their ramen options hit the spot on a cold, winter day. The rice dishes are all perfect for the days you just want a protein, veggies, and rice. Items like ramen, bubble tea, and katsu-curried taste good, but are not as good as restaurants that specialize in those items. My favorite items are the Rayaki fries, bacon covered quail eggs, charshu pork bao, and crawfish with rice! Rayaki has been a solid lunch place in Edison, and as a huge anime fan, I appreciate the aesthetic of the restaurant. I recommend Rayaki to anyone wanting to try Japanese street food! read more

The restaurant was great i loved the decorations and the seating arrangements. The music wasn't the best but it was okay.The service a little bit slow i can with my sisters and my 1 year old and our server asked if we needed a high chair and my sister said yes but we never got one,it wasn't until one of the other staff looked and asked me and when i said yes she immediately went got it for me. Our server wasn't very attentive to our needs there were times where we were being ignored or not paid attention too. I loved the ordering process but didn't like how you couldn't get extras in the ramen, me personally i like two marinated eggs in my ramen and couldn't customize my ramen that way. and the server was no help cause he was no where to be found. I ordered the brown sugar milk tea with gyoza,bacon wrapped shrimp and i got the salmon ramen for my entree. the gyoza and bacon wrapped shrimp were amazing i loved it!! However the salmon ramen was one of the worst ramen i've ever had. It honestly tasted like salmon water. And the egg was very soft and no taste There was no seasoning or flavor going on at all. My noodles were overcooked and soggy and the ramen had a really bad aftertaste. I included the before and after photos. It was terrible there was a couple sitting next to us and it didn't even look like they ate the food. The milk tea was amazing. For dessert i got the cheesecake and it was the size of my pinky i was very disappointed. i would not come back here. read more
Nice little spot In Edison and have to say Pretty cool decor on the walls . They were pretty busy when we went but the service was good we didn't wait long for food which is always a plus. We ordered a few different bowls of Ramen so we could try the different broths . The sliced pork was a tender and the flavor of the broth was good . We also had fried rice cakes which were interesting texture and the steamed pork buns were good . The Yakatori sticks were delicious.Prices are reasonable and portions are on point compared to every where else . Definitely a nice addition to the area I wish we had Ramen spot close to us in Bridgewater. read more

Came here for dinner last night with a few friends and was soooo hyped about it because of all the anime wall art. The murals are dope and if I was reviewing this place on theme alone it would get a 1000/10 from me. The murals are awesome and if you're an anime fan it's super fun. Spied one punch man by the bathrooms and I got a kick out of it. They even got saiki up there it's impressive the number of anime/mangas they have represented. However I unfortunately don't think the ramen matched the aesthetic. I ordered the spicy miso ramen and the noodles were quite thick which just isn't my preference for ramen. The broth also wasn't spicy at all, for ordering spicy miso, and it just wasn't that flavorful in my opinion. Even the miso taste wasn't that strong and the broth wasn't rich. I love ramen and the broth is really the make it or break it factor. And this didn't do it for me. On the positive side I also got a Thai bubble tea which was solid, and the rayaki fries were incredible. The sauce on them is savory and like kinda spicy idk just BANGIN. Might need to come back here to try a different ramen and give them another shot because the interior is cool. read more
Don't miss out on the Rayaki Fries! If you like savory with with touch of sweet and spice- these are definitely worth the calories and sharing with a hungry table of course. I ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen, which was had a great broth warm and creamy - not a big fan of the style of cha-su, but they were hearty and generous slices, so definitely filling. They have an extensive menu - so great for a picky group of friends - Tons of options! Will definitely come back for the curry Ramen! read more

Ramen and apps were good. If I lived in the area this would have gotten 5 stars but we had to drive from the south which wasn't worth the drive. Takoyaki and fries were very good. read more
The ramen is good and the appetizers are decently priced. It's not the best of the best but it's a pretty good place for a hangout with friends and food is pretty decent too. Wished there was more curry that came with the curry platter but the ramen (didn't take a picture) was pretty good. The skewers are unique and the fried squid is okay, not super great but pretty good. read more

I forgot to take photos of the appetizers but they were 100% my favorite dishes in this restaurant [I got the fish cake skewers, calamari, and Japanese sausage]. The main course entrees are not quite to my liking and the miso soup did not taste like miso. The waitress was very kind and quick with our order. Their tables were very sticky and the music was quite loud so it was hard to have a conversation without raising my voice. read more

My ramen was phenomenal. I ordered the chicken katsu and it arrived promptly at my table. It is a paper menu where you check off your choice and hand it to the server. The broth was flavorful and the chicken crispy. I chose to add spice to mine and it did not disappoint at all. I found it very filling and reasonably priced. The decor of the restaurant is also very cute. Lots of anime. I'll be back soon! read more

Went to Rayaki to dine in for the first time, only had take out before. Servers were amazing and service was good despite the rush! We were able to substitute veggie broth for any ramen that we wanted, the fried sticky rice cakes were a new experience and we liked them a lot! Shrimp tempura ramen is my favorite and go to at this place! read more
This place has good ramen. I ordered steak ramen with this noodles and was pleased with the flavor. It looks like all the anime kids go here in groups of friends. The prices are reasonable. Next time I think I'll try their Chicken Katsu - one of my fave ramen dishes read more

Overrated. I think there are a lot of fake 5 star reviews...unless this was the first ramen place they been to? Probably like one of the bottom 5 ramen shops I have been to. Judging based on taste only.... The noodles has a weird smell and taste. Not sure if it was over soaked? weirdest texture I have had. the chachu pieces were dry. The pork in the pork bun were good, but the buns started to fall apart(got soggy cause it was in a takeout container). The broth also tastes bland. Tastes like instant ramen packets watered down. read more
On the main strip in Edison, this little japanese eatery is tucked away in a smaller mall strip and was very convenient to access as it was open to late hours. As everyone will mention, the wall art is pretty cool and hand drawn. I'm not much of a anime / manga fan, but I really did appreciate the large scaled work of arts. On the cashier / kitchen wall side, you'll also notice they have merchandise that may or may not be for sale. I didn't ask, but the shirts would be a really good sell. We got takoyaki, black garlic ramen and an array of skewers. I will say, if you get the ramen, you're set. You don't need to get anything else as the ramen is very filling and deep in flavor, but also high in sodium. As for the skewers and other izakaya appetizers, they're also very filling, full of delicious sauce and to die for. read more
