The worst dealings I've ever had with a real estate has been through Ray White Toowong. Whilst living in a share house last year, my friends and I had the misfortune of having our lease run through them. Requests to have maintenance done would be ignored/lost, paperwork would go missing and the agent we dealt with was just plain rude. And we weren't living in one of those dodgy falling down share houses where neither the owner nor the tenants gave a shit about the place. We were four respectful girls living in a beautiful Queenslander. Eventually, we gained direct contact with the owner who agreed that the service at Ray White Toowong was shambolic and they switched to another agency. Thank god! DO NOT RENT , BUY OR SELL THROUGH THESE PEOPLE. The most incompetent , rude and lazy agents i have ever dealt with. Rented through them two years ago and it took them months of lying to me to say my bond forms had been sent in before i foudn out they hadnt and had to do it myself. Took them three months to return an entry report to me which i sent in two days after moving in. NO MAINTENANCE WAS EVER DONE ON TIME....I almost had to issue a breach at one point! Lack of respect for privacy, lack of customer service and all in all the most incompetent real estate agency I have ever dealt with. These guys are absolutely terrible, I agree with everything Emma H. says. To save yourself frustration, anger and headaches do not have anything to do with these people. My husband and I rented a 2 bedroom unit in Taringa for about 15 months. They almost never did the house inspections, meaning we never got maintenance done. Even when we emailed them and told them about maintenance issues they said 'yep ok' then we never heard from them. They ignored us then tried to smooth it over with gushy words. Just before we moved out we met the owner of the place, who told us they never heard from the real estate at all the whole time we were there. One example of stupidity: they replaced the front door not long after we moved in due to fire requirements. They never painted the thing, meaning it got covered in mold during long rain periods and we had to soak it in exit mold. Use your brain people, doors have to be painted/sealed!
