I had a pretty awful experience with a certain other Ray White branch, so was a bit hesitant when taking out a lease with Ray White Paddington last year. However, the experience I've had so far is drastically different to that I've had in the past. The agent I'm leasing with is Anita and she's always been incredibly quick when dealing with requests or queries. It's true that they do like everything in email, but this doesn't bother me too much as I'm always online. In the four months that I've been in my apartment, they've inspected twice. This seems slightly more frequent than normal, but I suppose from a landlord's perspective it means they're thorough. It's also good from a safety perspective as they make sure you check the smoke alarm and safety switch. Really happy with Ray White Paddington--highly recommend. read more

You know what? Compared to all the real estate horror stories I here- Ray White Paddington is pretty good. I have been leasing an apartment through Ray White Paddington for over a year and have been satisfied with the property management and communication skills. My apartment is not new, since moving in a few things have fallen apart due to the apartment's age- not us. This is usually resolved after a few email exchanges, then they will send someone to come and fix things within a week or so. Our property manager named, Chester, seems to be on the ball with everything. If you are not a fan of email communications, that is when you will have issues as Ray White really focuses on this form of communication; even when you call them, they will ask you to send them an email. Because I am a savvy Gen Y-er, this is not big deal for me. I have herd countless stories from friends complaining about their Real Estate agencies and I can honestly I have never experienced anything similar from Ray White in Paddington. read more

Horrible. I have felt frustrated with every interaction I have had with Ray White Paddington. They were cold when I went directly to the office to inquire about rental properties. They provided inaccurate information about a rental property that resulted in a frustrating moment and a missed opportunity for us. Hummm...When I called to inquire about what happened, the senior agent spoke over the top of me and hurried to get me off the phone without apologizing. I have made the decision to refuse any property they manage. read more

It was one of the worst experiences in trying to buy a property. We have bought and sold many properties and this was the worst experience we have had in trying to purchase a property. The agent quoted the property was worth $750,000 in order to gain interest in the property. She then went on to say they vendor needed to sell and that it would sell prior to auction. On this advice we submitted an offer for considerably more (over $100k more). She then advised she wanted to go auction and gave us her word that she would not sell the property without calling us first. On the day of the auction she had her offsider call to tell us it had sold last night without the promised phone call. I am very reluctant to view, purchase or sell through this agent as they: 1. Under quote the value of the property 2. Are dishonest 3. Their word means nothing I do feel bad for the other agents in this office but I am reluctant to even view properties through them now. The sad thing is we would have paid more than the vendor has accepted and in the end they to lost out to due to the agents dishonesty. She lacks integrity and if she had been in a real profession would have no longer been employed. read more

I have had a horrible experience with Ray White Paddington and a certain Property Manager. Her complete incompetence to manage the property was appalling and her constant negative and aggressive attitude has left a very nasty impression with me. More times than I can count we received forms with incorrect dates, misspelt names and conflicting information which we, the tenants, had to point out to her. She would become aggressive and demand returned signed forms ASAP , however, when I called or emailed her she would take days, sometimes weeks to respond. Many maintenance issues that were requested to be fixed never were fixed and she then proceeded to attempt to claim them as damage on the Leave Report. There was also one occasion where I informed her of an urgent maintenance issue because the shower began constantly gushing out water, almost flooding the bathroom. This took her more than 3 days to organise someone to come and fix it even after my numerous attempts to call and email her. Several months later we then received a notice from her that we had to pay part of the water bill due to excessive water use. This was obviously due to her inability to promptly act on the issue upon being notified. I will avoid ever having any association with Ray White Paddington in the future and will strongly urge family and friends to steer clear of Ray White altogether to escape ever having to deal with people such as this. They clearly need to fine tune their hiring processes or train their staff adequately. read more

Unprofessional, disrespectful, and quite possibly in violation of Privacy act. That's just a quick summary of RWP. I have been appalled by the behaviour of this brokerage on 2 different occasions now. We are a late 40's professional couple, and have never been treated with such little regard as people. For our own reasons, we are not choosing to buy a new home, but rent (market going to tank here). RWP treated us like 18 yr old criminals in an application process, asked for highly sensitive financial documents that are not required and none of their business... wanted those docs sent through email, un-sanitised. They also don't communicate, never call back. offer no reasons for anything, and generally just conduct themselves quite poorly. The agent could not even wrap her head around understanding why our 2104 tax return is the most recent! IT's May... we can't file 2015 yet! Fell on deaf ears. Sharing my story with friends at the dog park, 2 others chimed in with similar stories, stating they had to find another brokerage to buy their home. I was urged by several, including another landlord to turn them in to the tenancy authority, which I have done. Do yourself a favour and steer clear of Ray White Paddington!!! And for what it's worth, we used to own a Real Estate Brokerage, so we have a pretty clear idea how one is to behave as a RE professional. read more
