Rawlins is the loudest library I've ever stepped foot in. Great place for kids to blow off steam because there are no enforced rules for patrons to be respectful to others--but if you want to study, research, or read, you better bring a pair of ear buds. I also think the new plastic printer is an incredible cost and waste of our tax payer dollars--how about putting those dollars toward the book budget you cut instead of polluting the earth and burning plastics inside the building? I'm not sure what this library does for our community, besides take advantage of it. Hopefully a new director someday will have the right priorities there, but until then, it's absolutely worthless. read more

Two hours here in the library to focus on some work this morning. Other than a couple of kids not being corralled by their mom, it was quiet and peaceful. This is a good sized library with lots of work carrels, comfortable seating and of course, free wifi. Tons of books, DVDs, reference materials and periodicals as one would expect at a library. I have only ever come here to print stuff out and use the WiFi. Good WiFi, low cost printing I think it's like 10 cents per page of black and white. read more
