That said, we've had many amazing experiences with Rawhide River Trips (and Rawhide Outfitters before them). The owners are extremely accommodating for diverse groups. They provide transportation to the river for large groups. (Can you say party bus?) The river guides are always experienced and personable. They do a great job on the river. The snacks and meals they serve are homemade and delicious. For the full-day trip, they serve the meal at a beautiful place alongside the river with tables, shade, and porta-potties. They offer digital photos of your group going over Pine Creek Rapid, and those photos are worth the cost (currently $70 per raft or a negotiated cost for large groups). We found the prices to be reasonable, on site service was wonderful and personal, and the river itself a joy--scenic the entire way (we saw deer!), gently rolling waters with a few fun spots to really paddle the light rapids--def worth it for the whole family (we had from ages 7-54 along for the ride!). At the end Everett gave us a quick ride back to home base and brought us up to speed on the company history--thanks for a great time, we def will be back in two years as part of our next family reunion!

For a city gal like myself, it was something completely out of my comfort zone but our Aggipah river guides and crew (Steph, John, Bill, Lexie and John) were absolutely phenomenal in every aspect of their job! Not only did they enjoy working with one another, each guide was extremely knowledgeable about the work they do as well as shared great stories and in-depth knowledge about the area. Because this is a family-owned and operated business, the guides took a lot of pride in what they did and the quality of the trip was second to none! Most of the rapids we went down the week we went (July 11-16) varied between Class II through IV and the guides took every precaution to ensure that everyone was safe but had fun. We were able to choose between paddling on individual inflatable kayaks, paddling with a group on a paddle boat or taking a break on the oar boats as we made our way up the 100+ miles from Stanley, ID to Salmon, ID. The trip not only included rafting, but we did short hikes, learned A LOT about the history of the area and the natives & pioneers that settled the area, viewed wildlife, visited a lodge, bathed in a hot spring, viewed some pictographs dating back 800+ years, etc. Since my group opted to partake in the true wilderness experience, we had to set up and break down camp each night. Some of us even opted to sleep under the stars on some nights. The hearty homemade meals they provided were absolutely delicious and varied everyday without a single repeat! The gear they provided were top-notch (e.g. Marmot, Therm-A-Rest, NRS, SR, etc.) and it added to the overall high-quality experience my group and I had. While I cannot foresee myself being an avid wilderness camper, I would absolutely return for future trips with Aggipah again and look forward to introducing my family and friends to this fantastic outfitter!

We love that Aggipah is a family owned and operated outfitter who works alongside their amazing and hardworking crew. As they guided our boats, transported our gear, cooked our five-star meals, and did so much more, they always made time to sit down and talk with us, laugh with us, answer our questions and tell us stories about the river and their experiences. The crew, the food and the accommodations were outstanding, We had complete confidence in each guide's ability to safely paddle us down 100 miles over 100 rapids. The crew took time to talk to and get to know each quest. The food was over the top, great menus, better than most restaurants, fresh, delicious and more than enough, you will not lose weight on this trip. Your tent is set up for you each night, the cots, pads, fitted top sheets, warm flannel sleeping bags and pillow made for a comfortable night's sleep. Highlights also included, extreme river camp bocci ball, paddle boat and shuttle bus karaoke, just sitting around the campfire and hot coffee at 6 AM. Granite rock, good for climbing, canyoneering, and hiking. My son took me here today for an…read moreadventurous canyoneering trip. We had a great 8 mile hike with about 5 and 1/2 repels of different highlights. I would recommend this spot for climbers that are looking for an alternate spot for after rain and there is no climbing allowed at red rock or if you just want to try a different spot. If you are going to come out, I would recommend a high clearance vehicle. I found these directions on line: To get to Keyhole Canyon from Las Vegas, take Hwy US 95 south through Henderson toward Boulder City. From the junction of Hwys 93 and 95, head south on 95 toward Searchlight for almost 16 miles. At an intersection, take a left (east) on to a dirt road. Follow this dirt road for just over 2 miles to a series of power lines. Take a right (south) on the SECOND power line road, travel almost 2 miles to the Keyhole Cutoff. Take a left (east) and head less than a half mile to the mouth of the canyon. The crags are about a 1-minute hike from the car. There are a bunch of pretty neat hyroglifics on the rocks.
