One of the best things about Ravenous is that they will help you create the menu you want--meaning you don't need to pick a few things off a pre-built list. We knew we wanted an epic taco bar and Ravenous helped us build the perfect menu of appetizers, sides, and of course tacos with all the toppings you could ever want. Our guests loved that they were able to clearly see on the menu and labels what was vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free too. The food lived up to the hype and was tasty and fresh (something important to me)! My sister also claimed this was the best guacamole she had ever had. Ravenous was easy to work with and helpful with answering all our questions over the long time between booking/wedding date. On the wedding date, they worked so seamlessly with the venue staff and our day-of-coordinator my involvement was no more than a hello and thank you. Ravenous Catering literally saved our wedding. If you are trying to pick out catering for your big day, do NOT look any further! Our venue had committed to catering in-house for us. We booked our venue in Jan/Feb, to get married in September the same year. Catering menus with our venue were decided on by March. Come July, we get word that the day-of coordinator from our venue had left, and someone new was beginning as her replacement. After an exploratory call with the new employee, we learned that not only had she no notes regarding catering for us, but also that our venue had stopped in-house catering back in May and the previous coordinator was supposed to have told us. Mind you, our wedding was 2 months away, with 220+ people in attendance. The owner of our venue was everything but helpful or apologetic which left me in an extreme state of stress. Our families jumped into action and started calling everyone around the Chelan Valley, scrambling to find someone to cater for us. (I had initially reached out to Ravenous Catering back in February and they were already booked, which is why we settled with our venue's in-house option). My dad called Ravenous, told the story and explained our predicament, and the team jumped to save us. Valarie told my dad how she couldn't imagine that happening to her child, and although her and her team had the day off that day to give themselves a break in the midst of wedding season, they booked with us. The food was amazing, presentation was beautiful and the dinner was truly seamless. What was once an extremely stressful situation quickly dissolved and became a highlight of the entire day. My husband and I were planning everything from out of state (Virginia then California) and panicked when another caterer fell through just weeks before my wedding in Lake Wenatchee. We got in touch with the team at Ravenous and they took care of us in a way that only a small, local, talented team can. I had a weekend trip to Seattle and a hair/makeup run through in Wenatchee already booked just days after we first contacted Ravenous, and Valarie scheduled a tasting for my mom and I that worked with our road trip. She was so flexible and accommodating with my schedule and our situation! On top of all that, they were familiar with the venue's limitations (no prep space, no kitchen, no ovens...) and gave me a very realistic view of what could be done. They listened to what our priorities were (local, delicious, beautifully presented) and delivered. The menu options made my mouth water, and I loved that ingredients were locally grown and locally sourced (some from their own garden!). On the day of, the food that was presented exceeded our expectations and hopes by far. The charcuterie and cheese platter was magnificent! The passed appetizers were delicious. The buffet dinner was amazing! It's been a year now and my guests still tell me we served the most delicious meal they'd ever had at a wedding. The street taco dinner for the rehearsal was amazing. I highly recommend the ceviche cups. The flank steak and chicken we served at the reception were done to perfection. Dave and Val were absolutely amazing to work with - not only were they super helpful and honest when designing a menu that could work for our wedding vision and venue, but when we met with them before the wedding we ended up staying much longer than anticipated simply because they are incredible people and so personable! Ravenous was who my husband and I chose to cater our wedding and it was a tremendous hit! Valerie, Dave, and their whole team was amazing and so easy to work with. We had our wedding at Pine River Ranch in Leavenworth and their prior knowledge of the venue made everything go off smoothly- you would have never known they were setting up or leaving when all was said and done. We had passed appetizers- meatballs and a couple different bruschetta options- and dinner was focaccia bread, grillled veggies, flank steak, chicken, rice pilaf, and ceasar salad. I can't say enough good about this company! I have had many catered affairs over the years but I'm done looking for a new one. Valarie was so easy to work with and kept me up to date on any changes or suggestions she had to make our event even better. Kaija and Nick were our team for the private home party and they surpassed all previous providers. Nick did all the cooking and prep on site and Kaija was the front-of-house worker. The food was fantastic. I had expressed my concern to Valarie that I did not want "hotel buffet" tasting food and she did not fail. We had the Flank Steak and Chicken roasted in lemon and herbs, bread pudding (like stuffing) but so much better, Bourbon maple carrots and a special salad that we changed at the last moment (at Valarie's suggestion).
