This barber shop is FULL a great deal of the time, mostly with repeat customers, which belies the review of said doofus. Wayne is neither geriatric nor losing it, and he doesn't charge enough, so I always add a generous tip. Edit No. 1: Since posting this I have talked to Wayne and he says the doofus-selfie reviewer is a shill for the owner of a competing barber shop just down the street who Wayne taught how to cut hair and who quit Wayne's shop owing Wayne money. The lady barber he also insulted is Wayne's daughter. Oh, and by the way, that would be "...their inexpensive rate ...", not "...there inexpensive rate ...".

This was my first experience having my haircut done by a woman in many years. I had been unable to…read moreget my hair cut by my normal barber as he had been having some health problems so I had to finally seek out another option as I had gotten to the point of being a dirty long haired hippy. So I had seen The Dirty Rebel Barbershop a few times when I was at The Wharf in Orange Beach so I looked it up online to discover you have to pre-book appointments. Well the availability schedule they had didn't work out for me for about two weeks into their schedule but I finally found a spot three weeks out so I really had some long hair by that point. Now I'm actually a dirty rebel as I attended Ole Miss which automatically makes me dirty rebel to most of the other SEC schools. When you first walk in they offer you a drink but sadly all they had available in the beer category were sissy lite beers and no bull on man beers. They did have a nice selection of liquors but I had quite a lot of other obligations to get done that day which would not have been conducive to imbibing liquor at such an early hour. The haircut was delayed by around 20 minutes as my selected female barber was running behind. When I finally got into the chair and started getting my haircut it proceeded alright overall but they did take a bit more off the top then I would have liked but it will certainly grow back. Overall this is one of the best barber experiences I've had in the Lower Alabama area.
