Jim Cooper was hired to grind a stump in our front yard. He arrived early and began to use his stump grinder. He worked for about an hour and a half when something on his rig broke. He left for a couple hours and returned and began on the stump and roots again. Small rocks began to fly in all directions. Rocks were hitting our house, ping, ping, ping - thing CRACK! We didn't notice that the large crack sound was a rock hitting the front window and breaking it. It is dual pane and only went through the outer pane. Before knowing of the damage, we tried to reach him via text and received text messages not meant for us. We elected not to have him perform any more work based upon the content of the text message. We paid him in cash as he requested (still didn't see the damage) and discovered the damage later. Now he won't return phone calls. Don't hire James Cooper.

We were fortunate nobody was hurt. We called Robert and he rearranged his schedule to help us out. He was out the next day, and we had the whole spar removed. Mixed Experience - Kind Crew, But Lacking in Execution…read more I hired Abe's Yard Clean-Up for a large garden project and appreciated that the quote supported a small crew of respectful, hard-working young men. They were courteous and professional in demeanor, which I valued. Unfortunately, the quality of the work did not match the price. Several areas of my yard were left uncleared, trimmings were not cleaned up, and there was little attention paid to garden features like solar lights. I requested a return visit to address what was missed, which they did--but the initial lack of detail was disappointing. Most frustrating was when a shovel of soil was tossed over my koi pond, leaving it full of dirt. I had to spend hours restoring the water quality myself. I do have photos documenting the issues. Overall, the experience was a mix--good intentions, kind workers, but a lack of follow-through and care in execution.
