I hope to see more of that. The only thing I wish they had was a regular clock in the weight room and cross-fit room. I leave my watch at home when at the gym and I feel like I have to look at my phone every 5 min not wanting to miss class. Update: coming up in 2 years training with this gym. I wanted a place that felt like a true wellness space where I could bring clients for Jiu-Jitsu, fitness, and recovery. This place exceeded all my expectations. The facility has everything you could ask for. Clean, spacious mats, restrooms and showers, lockers, a fully equipped gym, and recovery options like a cold plunge, infrared sauna, and professional massage chairs. Everything is very clean. You can tell right away, even by how fresh the place smells. One of the best parts is the location. If you are a surfer like me, it is within walking distance of Tourmaline Surf Park, which makes it perfect to train after a session in the water. Parking is also very easy. I usually find a spot within 30 to 60 seconds since it is in a residential area and quieter during the times I train. They offer a variety of classes for all levels, along with yoga and personal training. What really stands out though is the community. Everyone is welcoming, supportive, and easy to get along with. We also spoke in regards to her arriving and giving me a tour prior to the usage. When I arrived, she was not there but instead was what looked like an underage kid letting us in and showing us around. I was ok with that but then I asked him if he was going to leave and he said he would need to stick around. I was confused because firstly Monica was not there and secondly someone in her place was there instead. I also noticed there were cameras onsite, which was not mentioned in the site profile whatsoever. The kid called Monica, who was out of town and passed the phone to me. After I told her my concerns and felt like she had lied about her place, I was told that a place needed to have cameras and I said it was fine but I was going to be shooting my trainer shirtless and was promoting some articles of clothing that I was promoting and I did not want it to be on video nor did I want anyone on site (based on the description). I was told she was going to show me around and leave and then return once our time was up. (See attachment). She told me that the kid needed to stay there because it was a liability, which I felt was a bit confusing since people who rent AirBNB's and the host does not stay behind. When I tried to explain what we talked about, I told her I would have never rented the space if I didn't have privacy which was mentioned prior. After telling her my confusion and chose her place instead of others based on her description, I had spent the day planning this out and brought everything here, she said it was not her problem and took no accountability for what she had told me prior to booking. Needless to say I did not stay and ended up leaving. I doubt I will get my money back but this felt like a scam and when you advertise online then I think it's imperative to add all information about the location and don't tell folks one thing and have it be another.
