This was one of the worst experiences of my life. Our pickup time was 7am. I booked our tours on the phone, so I had no paperwork. The driver that got us at the hotel had a major attitude when I told her I didn't have any paperwork, the lady I booked with didn't even give me a confirmation number. She insisted I had to have something, but whatever. They drove the bus from our hotel to their depot, where we were herded into a different bus and given a water bottle and a danish. By the time we hit the road, it was 9am. The first stop was a McDonald's (not included) 2 hours away, which was packed to the brim with other tourists. From that stop, it was another 2 hours to the buffet lunch, which was absolutely awful, cold food and not at all what you're used to being in Vegas. We shared our table with 2 other people. After the lunch stop, we finally made it to the canyon, at 2pm. We had 45 min at the first stop, the west point, and made it to the second stop, the south, at 3. Now, the bus leaves at 5, but to the Hermits Point is a two hour trip, which is what the driver advised us to do. We barely made the bus back, and from there it was a 3 hour drive to a Carl's Jr for dinner (not included) and another 2 hours to our hotel. We got back by 11pm. The Grand Canyon is only a 2.5 hour drive from the Luxor, but it took us 14 hours and we only had 3 hours at the canyon. The driver was nice enough and the bus had movies and a restroom, but I deeply regret not renting a car and doing the trip on my own. You will not be back at 9 like they promised, and will spend 11 extra hours on a cramped bus.

Overall a great tour for the day, and at a great price. Got to see some incredible views and our tour guide was full of information and a natural comedian (the dam jokes never get old) I did the south rim tour and definitely feel like I got more than I signed up for which I appreciate!

Today I went on the most enlightening and professional tour by Julio of Grand Canyon yours! I am a school teacher of over 40 years and I wanted to see the Grand Canyon to share the experience with my students! Julio was informative and answered all of my Many questions! He is a asset to the tours! I'm going on another tour due to his sharing of knowledge with me!

Tour is ok just one thing that the tour guy just was with us few hours on the bus talking with no mic,no one on the back able to hear anything but at the end he asked for 15% tip. The gift shop should be aware of some chinese tourist. I dont want to talk bad about them but I saw several of them stole magnet from the shop without paying. I politely reminded them that they can pay at the checkout desk but they ignored me and just left.

The Grand Canyon from Mathers point.

Las Vegas Monorail - View of ferris wheel from Monorail Station

Vegas traffic, crowds, and walking miles and miles through casinos can wear you out fast. So when…read morewe were at the LINQ, we decided to give the Las Vegas Monorail a try and rode from the LINQ station down to MGM Grand. And honestly... I really liked it! The monorail was super clean, felt safe, and was relatively inexpensive compared with some of the other transportation options around the Strip. It was also nice to hop on, relax, and let someone else do the driving while we took in the Vegas scenery. We purchased a 24-hour pass, thinking we'd get plenty of use out of it during our stay. Unfortunately, our schedule got so packed that we never had the chance to ride it again. That's probably the only downside -- we didn't get our money's worth out of that pass! Still, for getting up and down the Strip without dealing with traffic, rideshares, or a serious case of tired feet, the Monorail is a pretty convenient option. Clean, easy, safe-feeling, and a lot less walking. In Vegas, that's a win in my book!

Now onto the 2nd to last 2 of 2010's decade of my scrapbook series representing November 2019 is…read morethe Las Vegas Monorail. The Vegas Monorail is actually pretty efficient going about 50 mph along about a 4-mile stretch of the Strip. Trains arrive frequently so you never have to wait long. It's a pretty comfortable ride and quick. In the mid 20th century, the monorail seemed like it would be the future of mass transit. Perhaps, the most well known is Disney World in Orlando built in the early 1970's. Monorails aren't really the best for mass transit. They are expensive to build. But there are rare exceptions where they can work. This is if put in high touristy area for a short distance. This is along a 4-mile stretch of the strip. But this wouldn't be good to expand the monorail to downtown Vegas, North Las Vegas, Henderson, etc. It'd be prohibitively expensive to build many miles of track & need the land to build elevated track. Another example is in Seattle about 1 mile from Seattle Center, where the space needle & site of the 1962 World's Fair showing how the monorail was going to be the future. Goes from Seattle Center to downtown Seattle. People ride it for the convenience of getting between the 2 touristy areas and just for fun nostalgic value. As for the Vegas monorail, I had been on it a couple of times when visiting Vegas with my parents. In November 2019, my girlfriend of that time & I were there for a wedding. We rode the monorail for convenience once to efficiently travel from south to north the entire length from OYO (walking to MGM Grand where the southern most stop is) to Sahara (northernmost stop). We hung at Sahara & Strat, where another friend was staying. Then took Uber to downtown where we staying. We found the Vegas monorail to be efficient & enjoyable. It's kind of no frills and doesn't go that far, but it does the job to get you to where you want to go. Unfortunately, the Vegas monorail may be defunct in 2035 as Elon Musk's Boring Company is building tunnels all across the Vegas Valley, which will be dozens of miles of private driverless Tesla going to lots of stops underground. It'll cover a lot more land, but there are a lot of downsides too. One of which is monorail will not be needed anymore.

UNLV Transit Center - Storefront (late afternoon)

The UNLV Transit Centre (UTC) is the newest, nicest, and thereby most welcoming small-sized transit…read morecentre that we have in our valley. Location If you have trouble finding it: the cross streets are Maryland and University. Those familiar with that area would know In-N-Out Burger® is right there. One could throw one of the decorative rocks from the UTC and hit the curtilage of In-N-Out. If you need the closest campus building as a reference point instead: look for Greenspun Hall. Amenities Available seating in the form of benches is excessive. There is one outlet where one can expropriate AC. Most coaches now have WiFI that is included in the price of the fare. There are a boatload of those spirals so one can lock a bike, but there is no guard on-site, so it would be for only the highly trusting to park a bicycle here. (Note: Use very good U-locks.) Route Unfortunately, there is one bus and one bus route alone that services this station: the Centennial Express (CX). (Note: The Maryland Parkway route has stops within walking distance.) With all the being said, pay good attention to which CX you are hopping on. The route continues to Las Vegas Airport (LAS) now, so if you board the southbound bus, it will be taking you to terminal three of LAS, instead of towards civilisation.

I have been attending this University since Freshman year. They used to have small buses for the students to take from the free parking lot to the Lied library... usually a 20 min walk and as of this year the prmary side of campus where students have been sexually and physically assaulted(Cottage Grove Tropicana Parking Maryland pkwy HFA 2017-2018). As the years went by more and more resources to facilitate your experience on campus were eliminated. The staff worsened, if there ever was a citation situation that you desired to have addressed or appealed, the process guide is archaic and perfectlly bureaucratic;nothing happens. Yet the technology to demand payment for parking was as innovative as ever. Today as I made my way towards two officers to inquire upon a citation he absentmindedly disregarded my inquriy. As I realized that zero information was available to them, I therefore proceeded to ask for a ride to their offices since the area on campus on which I had to park by has had over 5 assaults occur within this academic year. I was regarded as a liability, my request was retaliated by a response that lacked the slighest sense of concern for student safety and professinalism on any level. I proceeded to walk to their offices and place a demand where I was only met with apathy and a single email to which to submit my 'concern'. This department reflects perfectly well what happens on campus in every department on every level. The univeristy has fallen short of its mission statement the past 5 years it has worsened and of course nothing seems to change.

All I brought with me was my old passport as well as a copy of my birth certificate (in case they needed it), and a check. I filled out the paperwork there which took about 5 minutes and then got my photo taken. He provided me with a piece of paper that would allow me to track the status of my new passport. It said it would take about 4-6 weeks, but it was actually much quicker than that as I got my passport in 3 weeks! Highly recommend UNLV passport services if you don't want to wait.

The female who was to help me, appeared to be a bit confused. She called over a male staff, he was condescending and stated "these forms are self explanatory". He appeared a little confused as to what name was needed for the passport, after I had already explained 2 to 3 times (female and then male). I do not believe they wanted to help me, the male spoke downtown me, and the rest of the employees were watching;it was embarrassing and made me feel utterly uncomfortable. He took copies of my original documents and stated that they never lose the documents. Ge couldn't explain why he made copies, only it was protocol. The rest was miscommunication. He failed to listen to me and became defensive. I've worked in retail, nonprofit and for the state, this would not ever happened/or been allowed to happen in those conditions. From the start when he asked me to put a line through a box, it was not good enough, and I was forced to ask him how he wanted it. I felt like I was being discriminated against. He did not clarify anything he said, so I didn't know what he meant. There were no answers to any of my questions; as a person who has gone through identity theft and fraud, yes I needed help, none was offered; only "self explanatory". I believe I was discriminated against due to my race
