I did something new over the holidays and got myself a tattoo! I've thought about it many times,…read moreand actually settled on what I was wanting a few years ago, but life kept happening. But I made a plan to get it done while off from work for the holidays. And asked around to friends with tattoos for some local recommendations. I actually got a few people telling me to check out Legacy Irons in Greensboro, and when I reached out and they had open appointments, I made it happen! As an added incentive, my wife even got me a gift card to cover a portion of my new. I ended up booking an appointment with Jave, and from start to finish it was a great experience. He was great to work with, easy communication, very responsive and friendly, offering suggestions to my design, and guiding me in the right direction. During the tattoo Jave explained everything he was doing before, just so there'd be no surprises, and it went quickly and I'm happy with the end results! As far as the shop, it's conveniently located just off Elm street, right across from Little Brother and Natty Greens. The shops a bit small, and when they've got 4 artists doing tattoos at the same time, the space does get a bit crowded. But they make it work. There's a ton of fun and unique art all over the shop giving you plenty to look at and pass the time while getting work down. In addition to tattoos, they also have someone on staff who provides piercings. As I said, it was a great experience, and when I'm ready for another piece, I'm sure I'll head back to Legacy! 10 stars, Highly recommend!

Last weekend I got my navel pierced here. The piercer, Vanessa, assured me that her placement was…read morecorrect after I asked her to lower the piercing into my navel. She charged me $70 for the piercing because I asked for the proper metal, titanium. Not only did she put the wrong jewelry in for my anatomy, she also pierced it incorrectly. I saw an actually certified piercer today, who told me that the piercing was done horribly and that I should take the jewelry out as soon as possible. I am extremely disappointed in this experience and would like my $70 (plus the tip I gave her) back, but I know I will not get that money. Please choose an actual professional over Vanessa.

So I ended up going to Divine Moment tattooing. Upon arrival, I was impressed by how neat the tattoo shop was and how they were quick to acknowledge me. Getting the piercing was fairly quick and it was a way better experience at this shop. The piercer was very sanitary and professional. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone who is interested in getting a piercing!

She botched a simple small heart tattoo on my wrist and caught an attitude when I asked her to correct the original stencil. I declined getting my second tattoo from her because she yelled at me and kept blowing off as if I weren't worth her time. She also overcharged me for a nickel sized tattoo when it wasn't what we agreed to through our messages. She then proceeded to let me leave without telling me how to care for it. The owners allow this behavior to continue as they say she is "who we want representing us". If I were you I wouldn't go to a tattoo shop where the owners agree that this behavior is okay. As a business you have failed.

He took two hours to do a fill in with a design, and the final product wasn't even remotely what I asked for. Not only that, but my pointer finger nail fell off completely after 3 days...which has never happened to me before. I would have gotten it fixed but I was already on vacation. Now for the eyebrows, and older lady did them and they looked really nice afterwards, but the next day I realized I had a chemical burn on my skin from the ointment she used afterwards! Extremely disappointed by this experience!!
