After spending 4 nights at this hotel, it will certainly be my go-to hotel in Ingolstadt for the…read moreforeseeable future. Its location is excellent, just north of the CBD with all of its shops, restaurants and the river to walk along. About 10 minutes by taxi from the Hbf, and a bit closer to Nordbahnhof. Just across the street from the main bus station. Check in was quick and friendly. English is okay, but not great. Knowing a bit of German seemed to help a lot, but my colleague (who knows no German) survived just fine. My room was of great size, overlooking a school (so no great view, but quiet at night). Bed was very comfortable. WiFi was free, but inconsistent. It became VERY slow after work (6-11pm), but at other times was quite fast. Breakfast was large and good, and included in the price. Parking is affordable - the lot is small and tight, but that's Europe for you. I did not try the bar/restaurant.

Very nice small hotel in Ingolstadt. Close to center of town…read moreand local shopping and attractions. The rooms are very clean and modern. Nice bath rooms with great water pressure and built in hairdryer. Love the environmentally friendly wall mounted shower gel and liquid hand soap dispensers however if you need conditioner and lotion bring your own Breakfast is served buffet style and plentiful. Minibar is well stocked and super affordable. Overall very enjoyable stay. Only room for improvement: the pillows are filled with some foam that feels like cotton candy, bath towels are thin and rough. Be aware Germans love fresh air and room service tend to open your windows to " air out" unless there is a raging snow storm outside! Double beds have two sets of pillows and duvets as well as two separate mattresses, old world German style no wonder birth rates are declining... This probably won't be counteracted by the all over display of art canvases featuring scantily clad ladies. We had to giggle at this amateur art work. I'm by no means prude but even my dad had to agree that it was strange that I should have to sleep under an image of a half dressed sexy lady. Evidently there are no single women's rooms featuring hunky sexy men on display... Lol Still highly recommend

I was surprised by the lack of a comprehensive review of this place…read more A few things to note while reading the review: This hotel is in a 300 year old building. It's got stairs, very thick walls, no A/C, and steam radiators for the winter. Rooms can be different sizes and configurations - some of them considerably different - but very clean. WiFi is available and free, but be aware that the thick walls tend to make the signal weak. If you have mobility issues where you cannot use stairs, it will be a problem. With that aside, this is my stay of choice when in the area - I've probably stayed here about a dozen times for a week or more each time for work. Two major things give this place an advantage: 1. It's centrally located in Ingolstadt, with a grocery across the street, and dozens of food options a short walk away in a very safe and walkable city center. 2. The staff is amazing - I've never seen them turn down any reasonable request. Need a mini-fridge for the room? Ask if one is available. Need to use an umbrella? There's a bunch by the door. There's on-site parking - which may fill up if you get there late, but a short walk away there's public paid parking available. The staff speaks several major languages - English speakers will feel comfortable here. For room selection, the rooms facing the main street have a nice view, but be aware that there is outdoor dining on the street below, and it can get a bit noisy at times - but the crowd usually thins out around 10PM. The quieter rooms face the courtyard away from the street. Breakfast is served in the mornings. You get eggs cooked to order and a buffet-style layout with dairy, fruits, cereal, breads, cheese, meats, and smoked salmon. The selection doesn't change much from day-to-day, but there is sufficient enough variety to keep it interesting. There's CCTV cameras watching the property and the staff pays close attention to it, especially when you are parking. So if someone comes out when you first show up to park it's usually to help direct you to a spot to keep the lot organized. If you park and block another car, they expect you to leave your key at the reception. There's also a single EV charger available for those that need it. You'll need to make arrangements with the staff to use it.
