He had to return to his shop 3 times to get the correct parts. When I requested a statement he said it would be provided AFTER i had paid? When I asked for a breakdown of the charges he said he could provide that but that he remained on the clock until I had paid. At 2:15 he said he could not complete the job that day, which was filling the hole with dirt, and would return in a couple of days. When I called the office the owner said she had heard about me and dismissed my concerns. I was very dissatisfied with the entire interaction and will not use them in the future.

My issue was with my laundry outlets and I wasn't sure what the best course of action was-replace the whole plug, install an adapter, etc. The electrician walked me through all my options and was very honest about what they would recommend. They also pointed out some issues with my house's overall set up that I had not been aware of (a surge protector for the entire house, I had no idea that was a thing!). For every option they provided a detailed breakdown of the cost and labor involved. He didn't push anything on me and was happy to answer (or go over again) any questions I had. He left me with my options and asked if I'd prefer they follow up with me or if I'd get in touch with them once I decided how to move forward. I was super appreciative they didn't push me or try to get me to agree to something before I was ready. Also- they were safety-conscious which I appreciated. They wore a mask the entire time and even booties over their shoes for the benefit of my carpet. Had them come out to fix my lights in my living room now working after a wind storm. Fine I asked for an estimate to replace all of them and get it up to date. Wanted little over 5k pluss extras. I was gonna but decided against it. Just wanted to fix the living room lights. Instead spent little over 1k for them to replace 5 sockets and test house. I was gonna do the rest of them. When they left replaced them and still nothing. Then to come find out that they took my fan down in my bedroom and put it back and now 1 light don't work. They also took some siding off and didnt put them back. I had an electrician buddy I work with come out and he found the problem within 30 min. He also didnt charge me anything close to 1k for that. Very disappointed. For everyone here. Get a second opinion before doing ANY work.

They explain things well, and their rates are fair, much lower than another Farmington company who provides similar services. I wish I had discovered M&R about 9 years ago when I first moved to Farmington.

May 6, 2025 A short…read moretime ago we called this business to check our hydronic (In floor) heating system. We SPECIFIED that was why they were being called. m&r sent two young native boys/young men to check the system out, and give us a report. These two people stood in front of the heating unit looking at it, and doing nothing more. We asked questions about the system condition, and how to check, and operate it. Neither of m&r's people had any idea what to check, or how to check it. We asked if they had an AMPCLAMP, a meter for measuring current draw. They did not. All they had was a common VOM, which would not tell anyone anything. One of the two simply stood looking up at the machine, saying nothing. We asked the "Knowledgeable" one , who was holding the useless meter, if the circulating pump was running. This kid put his hand on the pump, and said that it was running, which was obvious. M&R charged us over THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS for NOT doing what they specifically hired to do. M&R should be ashamed of what they did to an elderly, limited income, couple. This is not a "Shill review", posted by employees, and friends, it is our first hand experience. NEVER HIRE M&R (DIS) SERVICE! One star is far too many.
