The employees at Cooper Voorhees understand exactly what you and your loved one are facing and they know exactly how to make you feel great in such trying times and they do it very very well. While it's a shame that I simply cannot come close to saying any of the same for Cooper hospital in Camden NJ, I do prey for anyone ending up there for testing or anything else and prey some of the employees there get their heads checked and straightened out, however Cooper Voorhees as far Oncology or any other services is where you want to be if unfortunately you need such services. Save yourself the pain, the stress, and the tears of the foul treatment people receive at Virtua /Penn, and go straight to Cooper Voorhees, and let your worries fade away at least a bit.

Good morning, I have been a patient at Tunnell for several years. It was nice to see that at the…read morebuilding next door to Tunnell, I could receive an mri and a mammogram. The problems occurred with the people at the registration desks. They were not polite or helpful either time that I went. The first time was this past Monday when I went for an mri. The information I thought I needed was in my purse but when I first entered the building, I was told I didn't need it. The registration clerk said I couldn't go forward with the mri because I didn't have the right information. She was snarky and impolite and finally someone else came over and said that what I had thought I didn't need, I needed to enroll for the mri. I want to be clear, the mri technicians were wonderful and kind. I have had the experience many times of an mri, so I know it is never easy or fun. The following day I was scheduled to have a mammo, and again the woman at the registration desk was not helpful and seemed to have a bad attitude. The problem this time was that the original script was from an oncologist I was no longer seeing. The registration clerk was not helpful in trying to get the new doctor at Tunnell to write a new script and send it to the registration desk so I could get the mammo. She was so rude that I simply got up, took what papers I had, and walked out. The training for registrations clerks should be critical in making them understand that people who are coming for tests, treatments, etc. usually have a medical condition and paramount to everything else, kindness, courteousness, and helpfulness is most important. I apologize for having lost it both days. It's not in my nature to be rude but I simply can't understand what is going on at Beebe. Compassionate, understanding and goes over and beyond for patient care. I'm really not just saying this, he is truly incredible. Dr. Ian Horkheimer specializes in hematology and medical oncology and is board certified in both. For many years, he has been treating patients in the Little Silver community. Dr. Horkheimer received his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin. He completed his residency at Washington University-Barnes/Jewish Hospital in internal medicine and conducted his fellowship training at Duke University Medical Center in hematology and medical oncology.

I went into see him…read moreafter being ravished with a bout of anemia that left me too weak to walk and a stomach that could not handle Iron supplements. He was patient, informative and has a fantastic bedside manner. I was a mess at the time and he looked past it and helped to settle my nerves. As for the staff, you had some good and some bad. Most of the nurses are great. The woman who make the appointments were always helpful as well. Once and a while I had or saw someone else have some trouble with a particular girl at the front desk. I also had some issues with a couple of the woman giving transfusions. For one they would barely introduce themselves and then Im hard to stick and they would make it obvious when they were annoyed. These things make an uncomfortable situation worse. I add this in because no matter how great a doctor is he is only as good as his staff will allow. Overall my experience here was a 7 out of 10 and if I had any problems I would go back without hesitation.

And the reason I called was because someone from that office left me a message that my appointment I have in two days needs to be changed. It's not the first time this has happened, either. This center needs a better phone system and a better scheduling center. Out of 5 stars I give Helen Graham Cancer Center's phone system AND scheduling system a NEGATIVE 5 stars.

I have been going to MSK Middletown for two years now (breast cancer)…read more When I called there the day I heard the dreadful words from an outside radiologist saying the MRI was not good and I needed a biopsy, the MSK team has been incredible. The scheduler, hearing the tears in my voice, said "We've got you." I have felt that way ever since. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Kerstein and Dr. Park. Clear, patient and compassionate, they have guided me through my treatments without once forgetting my humanity. Yes, sometimes you need to wait an extra 10-15 for your appointment time, but this is a cancer hospital not a restaurant. If someone sick needs a little more time with your doctor so be it. It will be your turn to need the extra 20 minutes at some point. We are blessed in central NJ to have such an incredible medical facility right here. There's nowhere else I would ever go.
