There was a heated tent outside the theatre where we lined up for the show. The box office was in the tent as was a bar and a park bench if you wanted to sit. We were led into the theatre by staff and then asked for our name to enter. I did not need to show the barcode on my phone as they had my name and number of seats that I had purchased. The washrooms were small, cramped and smelly. It felt like we were in a trailer? 2 stalls and 1 sink. The studio theatre was small and the seats tight but we could easily see the stage and hear/see the entire show with no problems. The staff were friendly.

We saw Alan Doyle perform here, and it was an incredible show. The stage setup and acoustics are fantastic, you can really tell this venue was built with live music in mind. My only complaint would be the very limited leg room in the seats, which can be a bit uncomfortable during a longer show. It's nice that it's tiered with balcony seating so everyone can get a good glimpse of the stage during the concert. Stairwells are a bit narrow when entering and exiting the venue. The bar area is nice and spacious though, and was quite clean throughout my night. Merch area was on the basement level which had lower ceiling heights and felt quite crammed. Overall, the venue is a bit dated and can use some renos. But it gets the job done.

Saul Rubinek is at his finest and this play should be seen by the masses. It's a commentary about what is going on in the world today. It's a very important piece of art, and a very powerful and moving piece at that! You will be thinking about it long after it is done. I will be back to see other plays, as I found the caliber of acting and the storyline far exceeded my expectations.

I love this theatre- it has a great Shakespearean setup- it's a lowered stage (my fave format), rather than a raised stage. I must admit that I have not seen the BEST plays here, and have never even heard of this one before but it was recommended and tickets were less than 30$ (note- i'll pretty much see anything for less than 30$) WOWEE- I cannot recommend this musical more. It's got an amazing cast, everything was sung, a fairly serious topic done very tastefully with a range of very entertaining laughing moments and some serious tear-jerkers. This is a lower budget venue where there tends to be a range of performances some of them good and some of them bad- I suppose go on reputation because this particular musical was top notch. I would have easily paid twice as much as I did for this show. A definite must see!

We loved every minute of it. They have QR codes you can scan to hear the music to accompany the art (so bring your phone). The only room for improvement would be to put the QR codes to the left of the art pieces so you can listen to it while you're passing by the art connected with the music). The artist did such a beautiful job! So many details and it was so neat to see places you have passed a million times made of paper. The kaleidoscopes were very pretty and a fun touch. I highly suggest checking this very covid friendly event out.

Adelaide Hall is a nice bar type live music venue in the heart of the entertainment district. The…read moredoors are located on the west side of Duncan just north of Adelaide, and easy to spot with plenty of signage proclaiming that it's the cover band spot to be on the weekends with live music just like the good ole days! The first time I went was for the NYE party bringing in 2024 and the cover band played 2000's era music which was very well done and had the crowd singing along. Even the owner got on stage and was lead singer for many of the era's tunes using his phone for the lyrics. Hokey but awesome too! This kind of place reminds me of the days before the popularity of EDM, house music, and bars charging money to hear recorded music. With a live band there is more of a focal point to the evening and more randomness in the music, which makes it more interesting to dance to. Check this place out if you're in the mood on a weekend and tired of the typical pretentiousness of many of the bars in the area, and get back to basics where people are playing real instruments and have plenty of talent to share with the public.

Went for a show and ended up being assaulted by another patron. Security wouldn't do anything…read more(wouldn't even have the person who assaulted me move away from me) and after venue management said that security couldn't do anything if "they didn't see it", I suggested pulling camera footage (which of course venue management refused to do). At this point I ask the venue manager if in this situation i should call the cops to deal with it, and she said if that's what l'd like to do then do it. So I went outside and called, and they wouldn't let me back inside the venue because of this. So what I've learned is Adelaide Hall security is there for no reason and won't help when someone is assaulted. Police report made. This place has no business being open when they don't value public safety and actually side with aggressors. No reason not to pull footage. Karma has this place on her list, I guarantee it.

All were excellent, with consistently high‑calibre acting that deserves real applause. Programming doesn't always align with my preferences (I gravitate toward absurdist theatre -- Beckett, Pynchon, Ionesco -- and generally prefer classical plays without modern reinterpretations or myth‑reimaginings). Still, Soulpepper offers enough range that there's usually something worth attending. Ultimately, the quality of the performances keeps me coming back.

It was a personal, intimate concert with great sound - the band was awesome - a real blast from the past! Ah, memories... But I also have to mention the staff - particularly Michael (Mike). As someone who has had to adjust to being slightly disabled (I have to use a walker), it can obviously be a challenge. Mike was professional, but also very charming, while he took us to a comfortable spot by the stage for the show. He was very attentive, and even checked back on us a couple times before the band hit the stage - he was such a pleasure. He is truly an asset to the ElMo. He was definitely one of the highlights of the night for us. Thank you Mike! You're a Rockstar...we can't thank you enough.
