Every person we encountered was so kind, sensitive to everyones emotions, and so helpful. The facility is beautiful inside and outside! Even at the burial their professionalism and kindness were above and beyond. I would highly recommend this place to anyone, I assure its worth every penny. They will take good care of you and your beloved one you lost. Unfortunately I have been to too many funerals in my life but I have to say this funeral home was by far the best service.

From the moment they opened the door to welcome us in they began to help put at us ease and help us through this difficult process. They are warm and caring people that realize how difficult this process is and are there to support you through the entire process. Dotty is excellent at listening to the family and pulling out details that are incorporated into the service to make it as personal and as unique as the loved one was. The facility is fantastic. Plenty of parking, a full kitchen and child play room complete with Fish tank and plenty of things to help keep the little ones busy. The chapel is large and they allow you to personalize the decor, encouraging you to bring personal items that reflect your loved one's life. Dotty and Pat were there for anything we needed or wanted. They were professional and personal, if that is even possible. I cannot thank them enough for all they did and all their help through the entire process. They really do go out of their way to make saying goodbye as smooth and as painless as possible. I cannot recommend them more highly. Thank you Pat and Dotty and the entire staff of Pat Boyle Funeral home!!!

Incorporated in the 1950s they have been serving the Bridgeport area as a professional & caring family owned business for generations. Their building is set atop a steep little hill making it picturesque from the street below. They have large parking lot and had ushers directing you where to park to line up for the procession afterward. Their viewing rooms are well lit and spacious. My huge family put them to the test though and they had to bring in extra chairs and set up more in an adjacent room where all of the flowers and pictures were displayed. Since it was packed they kept the air conditioning turned up which was good for most, but sucked for me since I managed to pick the chair in the back directly above the vent and had cold air blowing up my back the entire time. The services were started on time and kept to the tight schedule. The same goes for all of the graveside services as well. I hope to not need their services again, but unfortunately if that is the case they were very professional and accommodating.

Jason made the process incredibly seamless during what was/is a difficult time in my family's life. He was very compassionate, kind, empathetic, and he even delivered a message to my dad when he picked him up after I made one small request. He was very knowledgeable in (and understanding of) muslim burial customs, something even I am not knowledgeable in. Thank you Jason for bringing my dad to his resting place, delivering my message to him, and for making the process easier during a time when everything else feels difficult.

I connected with them on Facebook.. Last week, a much more deep and personal need arose, with the passing of our dear mother. The normal thing to do would've been to call the funeral home that has provided care to our family for generations. However, when the question was asked, the name that came out of my mouth was "Smith's". I won't say that I didn't waffle inside of my head, but after my brothers and I met with Jason, we were reassured that we made the right decision. Jason and Cathy are the epitome of a perfect team. They were patient (and boy was their patience tested with me) and kind, forthright and accomodating. I know our momma was so proud of the care that she received. I, personally, felt an overpowering sense of family. On the day of the funeral, I prepared a touching and accurate eulogy. However, technology and I weren't working so well together over the last couple days. I had to decide whether to forego my personal eulogy to my mother or wing it. Jason snapped me out of my emotions and told me to trust him, speak from the heart and don't sweat the small stuff. I didn't remember everything I had written but I feel like I was able to appropriately convey what my mother meant to us. As with any service provider, any of the local funeral homes could care for your loved one, but none will care for your loved one like Cathy and Jason. It wasn't a business contract, it was family taking care of family. I rarely, if ever, give a 5 star rating, because rarely is anything perfect. Our experience with Jason and Cathy was nothing less than perfect. There wasn't a request that they couldn't accommodate. There is nothing they couldn't/wouldn't do. Their chocolate lab (comfort companion), Coco, adds to the atmosphere of family with our mother being the center of attention. I would ask, do you want a service or do you want a family experience? We made the right choice.
