Chile Relleno meal featuring Chile Relleno, beans, rice, and flour tortillas.
    Shaun B.

Rancho Grill is making an impression on the Rancho Vistoso community. Located on Coachline Rd, near Twin Peaks Rd, it is in the same location as the former, Angie's Grill. A small restaurant. It features 10, four top tables inside, and two six top tables for outdoor patio diners. The entire restaurant is newly painted and nicely decorated. The staff wear attractive black with red neck piece uniforms. Service is walk-up ordering with up-front payment, but table side delivery. This makes tipping tricky since you tip in advance. Our experience was very good service though. We were there to eat lunch and ordered Sonoran hot dogs French fries and a chili Relleno meal. The staff served complimentary chips and salsa, but instead of just a bowl of some salsa Fresca with stale chips. The Rancho Grill served hot and mild salsa and guacamole as a complimentary appetizer. The Sonoran dogs were hot dogs wrapped in bacon, with pinto beans, onion, mustard and mayo. The hot dogs were so fully loaded they were a challenge to eat. My son and I overcame the hardship to find them delicious! There were lots of fresh onion though, so I don't recommend staffing a kissing booth afterwards! My wife's Chili Relleno had a beautiful, picture perfect presentation. Served with rice, beans and flour tortilla it was everything a poblano chili Relleno should be. My only criticism is that the food service seemed to take a little longer than we expected. However, the food that was served seems to be made fresh to order so all in all not a bad trade-off. If you are waiting to try it, I recommend Rancho grill next time you are hungry for some Mexican food. I know we will be back!

New place in the neighborhood so we gave it a shot. The wait was long - like, really long. I think we waited an hour. Others did too. The positive to that was tables started interacting with one another, so that was kinda cool. The service was very warm and friendly, though. To their credit, they started divvying out chips and salsa. The food was pretty good. They are generous with their meat and the prices are reasonable. My wife liked that the quesabirria did not have a lot of fat. I had a chicken burro and enjoyed it. It is a new place, so hopefully they work some of the kinks out. If so, can be a good little neighborhood spot for years to come.

    Chilaquiles and Sonoran dog.

My first time there and I will not be returning. Tables and floor needed cleaning, flies buzzing inside, flying around customers who were eating and who had to swat them away. Windows were dirty. The Sonoran dog was nothing as pictured. It was VERY well cooked, very little beans, overflowing with tomatoes and onions and basically BLAH. Took a couple of bites and then into the trash. The chilaquiles were not very good, serving of chips was very stingy. The eggs were not cooked properly, they were half raw. Tried to eat it but this also ended up in the trash.

This restaurant is hopefully going to be very successful and stay around for a while. The food was amazing. We had Menudo and breakfast carne asada burrito. The salsa was outstanding - this is one of my measures for a Mexican restaurant. Fantastic beans! Service & ambience were excellent.

Food is made to order so be prepared to wait a few minutes, they do give you chips, salsa and guac ehich was unexpected but tasty. They have a large menu, we tried quesabirria tacos and a sonoran burrito which were both good and large portions. You'll order at the counter, food is brought to you and the staff busses your table after.

100/10. Came here for breakfast after mass and Unknowingly follwed Fr Ed from St Christoper as he blessed for the grand opening. The owner was kind to let us in right away while they did the ribbon cutting. The food was amazing!! Everything was perfectly seasoned. I forgot to mention red menudo and so I got white. It was my first time having white and I missed nothing. It was absolutely delicious. And they brought the cutest molcajete. The service was great and the people were so friendly. The restaurant also had an adorable theme!

Great breakfast burritos and complimentary chips and salsa! The complimentary salsa comes with 3 dips (spicy (it's not too spicy though) mild, and guacamole) and all are delicious. I tried the Norteño breakfast burrito (chorizo) and the other two people with me tried the steak and eggs breakfast burrito and the clásico ham breakfast burrito. All tasted great especially with added pico and salsa. They weren't overly greasy either so it didn't feel heavy afterwards. I think two people could share a burrito if you're not super hungry or just need something to-go. Service was really friendly and the restaurant is clean also.

Located in downtown Tucson, this iconic restaurant is full of character and beautifully decorated. We visited on a Saturday around 1 PM without a reservation and were told there would be a wait since the place was packed. They only have air conditioning in the indoor dining areas and basement, not on the outdoor patio. Luckily, we were seated in the basement, which turned out to be perfect. The service was commendable truly some of the sweetest and most attentive service we've experienced in a long time. We started with freshly made chips and salsa, which were an instant hit. For drinks, we ordered the El Tamarindo, Mangopeno, and Monica's Cafetini. For food, we chose the Vegan Jackfruit Taquitos Trio and the Fresh Corn Tamale Platter, which came with a side of squash. The drinks were excellent, with the Mangopeno being my favorite. But the real star of the meal was the tamale platter. Oh my goodness it was absolutely delicious! Everyone at the table kept digging in and couldn't get enough. Even the squash side was so flavorful that we ordered an extra serving. The vegan jackfruit taquitos were a bit too deep-fried for our liking and didn't quite compare to the incredible tamales. To finish, we shared a caramel flan, which was the perfect sweet ending to the meal. The pricing was very reasonable, the service was exceptional, and the food was memorable. We will definitely be back again if only for those amazing tamales!

Chips were solid, although the salsa was pretty bad. Not sure if this is baseline or I got a bad batch but it was close to inedible. It tasted like spicy ketchup. For my entree, I had a beef burrito and it was also underwhelming. Meat was very dry and bland. Beans and guacamole were fine but did not salvage the meal overall. Oh also you have to pay for parking. Lot is $9 for the day and street parking was $2.50 for 2 hours which wasn't bad.

Honestly, I wish I could give Yaquesita a little more, maybe half a star more, because this place definitely has potential. Their flavors are good, but compared to similar restaurants the menu feels a bit overpriced. For a party of three we ended up paying around $100, which felt like a bit much for what we got. The restaurant itself is pretty small with only about 3-4 tables inside, but the patio is a decent size and has a cute vibe. It's actually a nice option on cooler days if you don't mind sitting outside. Some items were better than others. The wet-style burrito was delicious and definitely a highlight. The quesabirrias were good, however the birria felt more like fancier shredded beef. It was missing that rich, spicy, slightly acidic, earthy flavor that usually sets birria apart from barbacoa or traditional shredded beef dishes. The bowl was just okay and had lots of lettuce. It felt more like a salad with a bit of meat, rice, and beans. Honestly, Chipotle does bowls better, and that says a lot considering the price. The nachos were good, but I've had better. Seis Kitchen has amazing nachos to share. That said, it's definitely a place I'd come back to mainly out of convenience, not because one particular item on the menu won my heart. I really do hope they continue refining the menu because the flavors are there and this place could easily become a standout spot. Personally I just think at the total price of my ticket other restaurants should not even have room in my mind during my meal. If you're in the area and looking for a safe bet where everyone will probably find something they like, it's worth giving them a try.
