Where do L's come from? From the L Tree of course!…read more The Mexican national soccer team has continued to flatter to deceive for decades and decades. Basically ever since they were created and came into existence. I have never seen a country more obsessed and fanatical about soccer AKA football. However this particular country has never had the glory to match the passion. They produce some truly amazing players and play some truly fantastic football but unfortunately due to really bad organization and hierarchy they have never managed to turn their passion into Victory. I still absolutely love watching them, especially remembering the old days of Jorge Campos, and Hermosillo. Of Luis Garcia and Garcia Aspe, and of course going way back to the legend, Hugo Sanchez. But unfortunately all the great names in the world have not led to silverware for this nation. Because they have flattered to deceive, and failed to live up to their amazing potential, I will give them four stars. Someday I hope to raise the rating to 5. But to watch Mexico play at estadio Azteca is a truly life-changing experience. I think the racism concerning this team including the backlash whenever they try to field a player that was not born in the country - let alone a coach from elsewhere - is a large part of why the team continues to fail. Being open-minded and welcoming in every aspect of the nation and the soccer team would be an important step forward.
