Unless you go to the Ramgarhia Sikh Temple on Waverley Road in Small Heath, you're probably unaware that the temple has an adjacent function suite. Tables and chairs are offered as part of the rental price but you have to set them out yourself. There is a large stage area, which is ideal for DJ's. And a kitchen but they have heating facilities rather than cooking for large congregations. The hall accommodates around 300 people if you cram in all of the available long tables. The furniture is very basic. Just think of your tables and chairs in school...you've pretty much pictured it! The toilets are pitiful. They're in dire need of a revamp and usually don't have enough loo roll! Overall it's a very basic function hall, like a community centre. But it's very reasonably-priced so if you fork-out for decoration instead you could transform the place. read more
