The 5-star review pertains to Dr. Priti Narula, one of the doctors at Princeton Family Care. I…read morehave been living with high blood pressure for nearly 20 years and worried that this issue would eventually lead to a stroke, heart attack, or even death. Dr. Narula analyzed my current medications and prescribed a new mix and dosage that has miraculously reduced my blood pressure to normal for the first time in two decades. Based on the above success, I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Priti Narula for successfully treating a life-threatening condition that has confounded multiple doctors in three cities for 20 years. I am sure she would have similar success with other medical issues and will rely on her whenever necessary.

I posted a bad review in 2020 as I was turned away from getting an appointment. Even though I had…read morebeen a patient for years I had not been to the office in 2 years. The nurse told me that I was not a patient any longer. Dr. Shaikh reached out to me even though I moved to Hawaii and he explained to me that it was a student nurse that should not have said what she said to me. He told me that I am his patient no matter where I move and I can call on him anytime.

I've seen both Dr. Fernando and Dr. Cole, however, primarily, Dr. Fernando. The office is run very…read moreefficiently and is very clean. It's been easy to schedule an appointment and/or go into the office for urgent care. The receptionists are very friendly and helpful. I don't think I've ever waited more than 5 minutes to be seen (they must schedule really well). The doctors are very thorough, friendly, knowledgeable and with good follow through. One of most wonderful things about the practice is that they listen to you....no turning their back to you while they use the computer or anxious to move on to another patient. They address you by name and ask about things we've talked about in the past. I've been cared by them for little issues as well as suggesting/follow up surgeries and other more involved procedures. Chris, their Medical Technician, is the best. When taking blood, you can't even feel the needle and he always gets it the first time. He is very personable and makes giving blood a breeze! I can't speak more highly about this practice.

Avoid this doctor. He was the primary care physician for my elderly aunt. When she was suddenly…read morehospitalized and the hospital was trying to get her medical records from Dr. Lara's office, they were unable to as the doctor's office was completely closed for over a week due to Dr. Lara attending a conference. Patients were not even referred to another doctor if they needed care-- just an urgent care clinic. And no one was in the office to access medical records. This is not standard procedure for physicians, especially for planned events like a conference-- they should have office staff available to deal with situations like this. Even after she was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer and seeing specialists, she never got a single call from Dr. Lara's office checking in to see how she was doing, even though the specialists and hospitals were sending all their reports to Dr. Lara. Finally, I just called them now two weeks after her death just to let them know she died for their records, and they just said "okay"-- not even a feeble attempt at a condolence or even a thank you for me going out of their way to let them know.

I have never felt more ignored or disregarded as a patient than I did here. During the roughly two…read moreyears I was a patient of theirs, I had three medical issues I tried to resolve, and on each one I did not get what I needed. For the first, I have a chronic condition and I knew which kinds of medications did not work but I was prescribed those anyway rather than something new which did work. For the second, I was given a treatment that was equivalent of a bandaid on a large wound, and it caused the problem to get worse because it was ignored even longer. For the third, I was simply dismissed without any examination and told I was too young to have the problem I explained. I went to Urgent Care several times while I was a patient of this practice because I knew it would be better than being ignored.

If you're seeking quality medical evaluation, DO NOT go to this facility. Two weeks ago, I visited…read morefor an uncomplicated UTI and was prescribed antibiotics. Given my history of recurrent UTIs, I went to urgent care immediately after taking Pyridium, so my symptoms were very mild. On the fourth day of my antibiotic course, this facility FAILED to follow up with me regarding the urinalysis and urine culture results to ensure my symptoms were improving and the prescribed antibiotics were appropriate. Unfortunately, my condition worsened compared to the first day, so I called them for a different antibiotic. It was confusing why I had to physically return for a new prescription when all they needed to do was adjust my medication and send it to my pharmacy. The front desk insisted that I still needed to come in. If they needed to collect a specimen again, that would make sense, but changing my antibiotic should have been straightforward. I called and waited over two hours for the nurse practitioner to return my call. They finally got in touch two days later, which was already the sixth day of taking the initial antibiotics. Who the hell wants to take antibiotics for almost two weeks? While the NPs and MDs are busy seeing patients, the front desk lady should facilitate communication between patients and medical professionals rather than jusy relaying messages. I am also a nurse with experience in hospitals, urgent care, and private practices. I can confidently say this place ranks among the WORST in professionalism I've been.

Recently, I needed him to complete my Workers' Compensation paperwork after I fell from a truck and sustained injuries. Although I have authorization to leave my job for recovery, he insists that I should return to work, despite my ongoing pain. Given the distress this situation has caused, I believe it would be best for me to seek a different doctor who can provide the support I need during this recovery process. Do not trust Azam Mohammed! Stethoscopes are decidedly old school as doctors stare into laptops occasionally coming up for air to discuss symptoms and diagnoses with the enthusiasm of a metronome. The docs could just as well be holographic or stuck in the metaverse (for that matter, so could you.) "At the tone, please download your balz into the 3-D printer." You never forget for a moment that you're "on the clock." The good news is that procedures and testing that were once outsourced are now conducted in-house with most results available next day. Maybe there's something to be said for efficiency after all. Medicine's brave new world is alive and well here. I just might get used to it. Four 3-D stars.
