They have a pool which is great. The change rooms are clean and the lockers seem new which is good. They offer a variety of classes like the other ymca, I just wish the classes went a bit later. The gym itself has a variety of equipment and the equipment works well and is fairly up to date. They also have a room with free weights, mats and medicine balls where you can stretch and workout (if there's no class happening). I really like this ymca because the few times I've gone it hasn't been too too busy which means I got to work out on the machines that I wanted without waiting around-huge plus. Tip: if you go later it will be even less busy!

The kids here work hard and are very enthusiastic! There is a cafeteria here, so kids do not eat in the classroom as I did at my school when I was younger. There are computer labs and gyms and several recess areas so that the younger and older kids are not mixed during that time. There are recess monitors that watch the kids at recess. The school is down a residential street that provides a nice quiet atmosphere for them. The kids all seem to be really hard working and motivated!

We did a 45 min drive every Thursday morning and didn't regret it! Amy takes the time to make sure all the participants are comfortable -even if learning a new language is a bit outside of some of the parents' comfort zones. Like all the best educators Amy incorporates age-appropriate songs, movement, and FUN into her lessons so it feels more like play and less like school. Don't be put off by the exterior of the building (it's tucked away in the back of a little church) the staff seem lovely and even our youngest little boy who has never been left with anyone is happy to go. It's made a great stepping stone between being at home and being ready for school and the staff are both friendly and helpful and seem to be good educators. The pre school room is well planned and equipped for the age range and the outdoor play area is suitable for both pre schoolers and toddlers (they go out together). Our older kids who are now at school would have loved this programme if we had known about it then! It helps get the kids used to school concepts (alphabet, numbers, fire safety etc) as well as routines and instructions from other adults before school. I recommend this programme to anyone who would like to give their kids the experience of suck a setting prior to starting school. I also like that it's co- operative so parents take snack in for all the children, every now and then (maybe once or twice a month depending on how many kids are in the class and how often yours attends) but the rest of the month you don't need to worry about packing snack for your child! Pack a cup and indoor shoes and your all set for the most part! Lovely teachers!
