And in the... nearly 10(??) years I've been going there I haven't even once left disappointed, and I honestly can't think of a single other business that applies to. Oh my goodness!…read more About my massage: Lindy was such a great massage therapist for me in my case as I'm 18 weeks pregnant with lower back pain. She was such a calming presence and really listened to my specific pain points. Lindy's massage skills are perfect with great communication throughout her treatment. I really felt that my needs were addressed above and beyond. Not only did I leave feeling refreshed, but she even took time to offer and teach me a few helpful stretching techniques to help my pain points. This was my first visit and I'll definitely be coming back again! :) About booking the appointment: The location is convenient and I loved how easy the online booking was. I was able to find the date and time I needed quickly and seamlessly. As a new customer, they also emailed the client intake form an hour after I booked my appointment and it was easy and convenient to it fill out electronically before my appointment. Great features!

Long Term Client Summary of Experience- 1. Excellent massage…read moreevery time. 2. Practitioners are all great with individual approaches. Roberta can recommend a practitioner for your particular needs. 3. Prices are low to allow for greater accessibility, this does not effect the professionalism or unique healing atmosphere of MassageMore. 4. There are now (9.1.18) individual rooms with serenity infusing the entire atmosphere. 5. Pregnancy massages are available. Every licensed practitioner does study pregnancy massage as part of their curriculum, but this type of massage requires more sheet and pillowcase coverage and is offered at a slightly higher price to include extra washing. 6. Front desk reception is cordial and either Roberta or one of the practitioners is there for you to talk to and answer any questions you may have. The reception area is a lovely, quiet place where you may be greeted by two mellow and elderly dogs that are usually sleeping. They will not approach you unless you reach out to them; if you do, they are loving and friendly. There is an alternative entry for those who are allergic to dogs. 7. There is time both before and after your massage to discuss any specific issues or ideas you may have. 8. The practitioner takes notes and a file is kept for reference. Specific Observations- MassageMore is a peaceful and sacred space where the energy is relaxed. It is the only location where I can walk in knowing I will be greeted with warmth and personal interactions, almost like walking back to a very different time. Roberta is a natural healer and a lifelong seeker of evolution both on a personal and worldwide scale. Her belief in massage as part of a larger more comprehensive body, mind, soul healing and integration work is apparent in her knowledgeable presence and willingness to communicate with each and every client. It is truly an honor to walk in a bit early and enjoy the welcoming greeting and atmosphere. Your practitioner will speak to you and get to know you and your issues before the appointment. Friendliness, professionalism and an excellent massage are what you will find here.

My only qualm is that the massage doesn't take place in a private room, but rather a room separated by sheets to create smaller makeshift rooms, and as a result, you can hear other people's massages as well.

I HIGHLY recommend JMT Massage Therapy in Acton, MA! I went in with a frozen shoulder that had been…read morestuck at only 50% mobility for months. After just one session with Jen, I regained 75% mobility. That alone felt miraculous, but what impressed me even more was how deeply she cared about my healing. She took the time to ask questions about my pain and limitations, then went right to work using a blend of Eastern and Western techniques tailored specifically to me. Jen's approach is unlike any massage I've ever experienced. She even used her feet while holding onto a ceiling bar to apply the perfect pressure, which I did not know could be so effective! She explained that I would have some soreness after the release and that this was normal as my stiff muscles and tendons began to heal. She was absolutely right and the soreness was real but the "good kind," and after the first day my soreness went away and I had significantly more mobility. I've now returned for three weekly sessions, and each time I feel less sore after and gain more freedom of movement. I am now at 90% mobility after 3 sessions and will update further after my next appointments. What makes Jen exceptional is that she doesn't just repeat the same routine. She carefully identified the areas of my shoulder that need the most work each time. She's used a variety of techniques on me, including deep tissue, hot stones (love this one!) and the theragun. She even recognized that my other side was compensating, so she loosened that side as well. While physical therapy focuses on exercises and strengthening, and regular spa massages are usually about relaxation, Jen's therapeutic massage bridges the gap. It is both therapeutic and relaxing and targeted for recovery. Five stars all the way! If you're dealing with pain, limited mobility, or simply want a relaxing massage, JMT Massage Therapy is the place to go. I'll definitely be trying her full-body services once my shoulder is fully healed, and I encourage anyone in Acton or nearby towns to experience Jen's incredible work!
