The people at Bauhaus are super helpful and the prices are very competitive, especially when compared to K-Rauta or Starkki. Like in all hardware stores though, do keep an eye out for the store branded goods, since they are way cheaper than the rest and often just as good.
If you have a trailer hitch in your car, you can borrow a trailer from Bauhaus absolutely free (for three hours or overnight). Comes in handy when you need a trailer for a move for example. Just go and buy a pack of gum from them and borrow the trailer. ;-)
