Needed locks change on our house that we just purchased. We just moved here from Massachusetts and we didn't know any locksmiths. I googled locksmiths and Rahn's came up. I called and left a message within 30 minutes they called back and said they would try to come today. They were able to fit us in and took care of all the locks that weren't working. Very professional and courteous. So glad we found them! We received quality service for a reasonable fee. read more

Darryl was able to get out to rekey my house only twenty minutes after I called. Did the work quickly, was friendly and sympathetic the whole time, and helped me to reprogram my garage door as well. I hope it's a long time before I need another locksmith, but I'd definitely call him again if I do. read more

I was very pleased with the service I received from Darryl the owner of Rahn's Best Lock.He answered the phone when I called on a Saturday and we scheduled a time for him to come that worked with my schedule the next week. Darryl kept me informed about his arrival and was very prompt. He took great care with my very old front door lock and rekeyed my doors so that the front and back door are the same. He made new keys for me from his van. Very professional and personable. I would definitely call Darryl again. read more

I was busy watching the first night of the NFL draft, about 9 p.m., when I decided to run to my car to get something. Just one problem: I was locked INSIDE my condo, thanks to a doorknob latch being broken and stuck. I called Darryl (found him in the phonebook; yes, those are still useful), and he was out working on my door within 20 minutes. Got the broken latch removed, and a new doorknob and lock on, in no time. His service was excellent. Very friendly, very professional and very good at what he does. I will not hesitate to contact him the next time I need lock service of any kind. read more

Moving cross-country, bone-weary, stop at a hotel for the night and lock the damn keys into the cab of the moving truck at 1:30 AM. Call multiple places and no one picks up. Finally Rahn's picks up, is perfectly cordial despite my likely slightly deranged tone I likely had from the combination of stress, lack of sleep, and getting eaten alive by super mosquitoes fleeing the truck to the hotel. He lets me know what options we have, gets to us about a half hour after the call and gets the door open, saving the night (and the next morning obviously) as well as taking card for payment for one less thing to have to worry about. You want the guy who's willing to come when it's clearly inconvenient for the other "24-hour" locksmiths, why bother with the rest! read more

Locked my keys in my car and couldn't get in the house on a very chilly 7° day. I called and Darryl said he didn't have any guys close to my location and came out himself. Waited 10 minutes for him to get there and took him 30 seconds to get me into the car and saved the day! If I'm ever in a pinch like that again, I know the place to call. read more

I had a great experience with Rahn's Best Lock Service when I locked myself out of my apartment. They were at my apartment at the time they said they would be and Darryl unlocked my home in less than 3 minutes. He even showed me how to do it myself the next time and made a spare key for me in less than 5 minutes. I would highly recommend this company to anyone in need of locksmith or key services. read more

I locked myself out of the house at 7 A.M. I did a quick search for a locksmith and found Rahn's Best Lock that had 24 hour emergency service. He came to house within 20 minutes and quickly resolved my predicament. He is very knowledgeable and efficient, reasonably priced with no surprises or hidden fees. I've never needed a locksmith before but feel very fortunate to find a 5 star when I needed one. read more

I lost the keys to my old work car, it was too old for the dealership to get me another set so they said I needed a locksmith. This company had a decent rating so I called them. This was three p.m. in a Fri. They said it would be the next day before they could come out.(they advertise 24 hr service, obviously they don't adhere to that claim) So Saturday Rolls around and the kid comes out. He supposedly cut 2 keys from the information about my car he entered in to his computer. NEITHER key worked, he said that my ignition was shot.( Funny thing is it worked just fine prior to me losing the keys) he was at my car FOR less than a half an hour and he charges me $100.00 dollars for two keys that don't even fit or work! Kid didn't know what he was doing. Buyer BEWARE!! MAJOR RIP OFF ARTISTS HERE!!! read more

Awesome prompt service! After locking myself out of the house, I was getting frantic as my cell phone was dying. I called three other locksmiths who had no technician available and left one voice mail. Panic and dark were setting in. Not only did I get a quick response at Rahn's but he was at my door fifteen minutes later. I live in a newly purchased older home, so we decided I should probably get my locks rekeyed while he was there. ( I have no idea how many previous owners, contractors or real estate agents may have had a key to my property). It only took an additional 20 minutes and his service included lubricating all the stiff and stubborn locks and bolts at no charge. I would highly recommend this company read more

This company charged my grandmother over $500 to order and replace a sliding glass door lock that is $60 retail from Home Depot and amazon. Labor charge alone was $175 for installation. It took 15 minutes. When I asked him for a receipt for his cost of the door lock he refused to provide he price and became extremely defensive about his business practice. No receipt was provided and the threat of court action was brought up for "not minding my own business". Please do not do business with this company. read more

Called because car keys are lost. We were in town for a wedding and live 5 hours away. They refused to come out until the next day because it was a holiday. Website advertises 24 hour emergency service. Apparently not. read more

The owner of Rahn's locksmith just left my home and I am livid. Why? Because this man was condescending, misprepresented himself and his services, and after a five minute service that involved using a flat head screwdriver to press open a stuck screendoor lock he charged me $95. He said in our initial phone call that if he did nothing and it did not require additional materials, he might not charge me at all. When I reminded him of that, he told me directly that I did not hear him correctly. After he wedged the door open with the screwdriver and said the fee for his service (mid-week, and inside the city of Lincoln) was $95 I was shocked. I understand service people need to be paid, I have absolutely no problem with that, but $95 for this level of work is exhorbitant. When I pressed him on this, his condescending response was, "Why didn't you do it yourself then?" This locksmith tells me he has been in business for 30 years. I cannot fathom how if this is the way he treats customers. I have utilized services and given services through my own business over the years where no fee was charged, or a significantly reduced fee was collected because no real service was provided. Those are the service providers I continue to call again and again. Rahn's Lock Service will not be one of them. read more

I had 4 locks installed and rekeyed. Very professional and great service. I highly recommend this locksmith.

Fast, professional and kind. I called him at 1:00 in the morning from someonelse's phone, which was a bit concerning for me. I was outside without a phone or a credit card. He was here in no time and managed to get through my comercial-like door. I know he can open my door anytime, but it still feels fine to me. Good sign. THANK YOU. read more
