The woman at the cashier said that they have a good flow of these items from the surrounding areas that donate, so I don't believe it was just luck. -tons of parking The American Cancer Society describes their discovery shops as "High quality, gently used, and new merchandise, including collectible and vintage items, are donated by the community then curated and sold in our upscale stores." I don't recall the new merchandise part (I skipped over the clothing sections, so maybe it's there?), and I don't completely think it's upscale because the pricing was so good (but definitely upscale compared to regular thrift stores bc of organization, cleanliness, and visual / merchandising displays), but the rest of that description is spot on. Also apparently they have events...?! i receive their text updates and received this "Join us in Redding for our yard art event. Make flowers, fairy gardens, or mosaic pieces. Supplies are low-cost, and we'll have snacks & drinks!" That's so awesome! I highly recommend giving them a visit!

Everything is color coded and sales are regularly held by color to keep items moving. Plus this is a thrift store with a great cause. If you sign-up with your phone number you earn money off on future purchases. So many friendly volunteers are always present to assist. Due to COVID restrictions, the waiting takes longer though the process of donating is actually quick. I waited 20-25 minutes In a line of cars but the actual unloading took about 5 minutes. Again, this is not a negative comment about Goodwill because my interactions with the workers have always been excellent (including this time). It's just to make you aware to set some time aside if you intend on donating because you may have to wait longer than what you are used to.

This store was by far the best one we went to. It's the type of store you can spend a lot of time exploring the great variety of items they have. They had everything from a vintage Polaroid camera to motocross helmets to vintage dishes to clothing and beyond. Truly the store that has something for everyone. Very well organized and clean. The prices were fantastic and the two gentlemen (owners?) at the counter were super friendly and helpful as well. My son and I both bought something we were very happy with at great prices. When I turned off the engine, I could here a woman sitting in the passenger seat of the pickup next to me screaming and swearing at someone but nobody was present. I thought it may have been directed at me but she was looking straight ahead, not at me. So I drove to another spot but then saw the drop off area, honking to get help, as directed by a sign. The gentleman was helpful and willing to take all I had. As the lady cooled down, I got my receipt and left. Moral of this story: it's a sketchy area. Don't take your kids there. Take only your donations.
