The day of our shoot, of course my makeup artist was late but Alex and Mallory made it work and were able to get amazing photos with the limited time we had. Of all the professional photos that I have had taken in the past 10 years, never have I not been given the digitals (not expecting them to be free). None of my friends or family have ever not been given digitals either. Trust me, I asked all of them because I felt like I had been taken advantage of. It's 2022 people. Everyone likes to post high res photos to social media and make their own albums. No one wants to post a pixelated image with a giant logo on it. Posting high quality photos or making your own album will not be an option for you if have photos taken here... unless you pay thousands of dollars (not joking) and maybe they will throw in the digitals (what I was told). If you are looking to pay an arm and a leg for paper copies only, this is the place. Also you will have to go back to the studio twice (once to review and another to pick up the photos). The photos are beautiful, and clearly the photographer is talented. IMO a review of their business model and cost of doing business should be a priority for them if they are looking to retain customers.

I had the option to upgrade, but told the employee I scheduled with, a few months before the shoot, that I wouldn't upgrade. I was straight forward with the employee. I was told no worries to come do the shoot. So I scheduled and was excited. Upon arrival, I was hounded to upgrade and mocked for not upgrading. I was told I "would regret" not upgrading to another package and that they had never had anyone not buy a package. Chris, the photgrapher, went from being polite when I was a paying/upgrading customer, to rude and pushy when I adimitly stated that I would not be upgrading my package. I decided to continue becuase I had a $75 deposit that was riding on me staying. So I stayed. The pictures took 15 mins instead of the hour that I was told I won. I was told in email that I would get my money back, abiding by I showed up and did the shoot. At the end, I was informed that I wasn't getting my money back becuase they would never do my shoot on a Saturday. Again being told how out of the norm everything was and that they were going out of their way to accomindate someone who wasn't buying a package. I demanded the return of my money and was told becuase of the email that I had, that stated I would be getting my money back, I would get my money back. The whole experince was awful and I will never come back here again. Brides if you "win a package" don't do it. It's bad sales gimic as prices aren't explained until you arrive and it's a sticker shock. I am not in anyway shape or form saying that their prices are too high. I'm saying that if you don't research costs associated with boudiar sessions or have never considered or thought about doing this, it'll make the experience that much more uncomfortable. I thought this would be something fun and free, considering I'm spending so much on our wedding and was told I won a free session, for my fiancé and instead turned into a shaming fest and battle. Don't come here thinking you won a "free package". The only thing that is free is the shame you feel leaving because you didn't upgrade your package.

To top it off, I still had time left on my photoshoot when the next customer walked in. She was invited into the same room as I was while posing for my shots, and it made me uncomfortable to have an audience. I will not go to this photographer again. She did our engagement photos in the Outer Banks and we were thankful she was eager and excited to travel for us--we had so much fun. I had my bridal portraits at her natural light studio in an old, historic building with exposed brick and it was the perfect vibe. She did so well with capturing the mood I wanted.
