This one in particular...59 years, they'll be having their 60th anniversary next year - wow! Lucky they're not floating on the stock market as they would've been sold to foreign investors much like a few other SA icons now long gone. I have never had a bad experience at Routleys, they have always been very helpful with advice and competitive on price. Mind you when we have purchased from here it was for major renovations, hence we've been given good deals as we purchased everything required, except for the tiles which they don't sell. It's a on stop shop for a bathroom, kitchen or laundry renovation or building from scratch and sometimes you can do better on your own than getting your plumbers trade ticket pricing. Their show rooms are very well laid out and give great ideas of what can be achieved and the look you can create, so home decorators can do without the interior designers fee. And this too is a great place for interir designers scouting for ideas also. Many of their staff are either family or highly commited individuals who have been working there for many years and that's a rare occurance. The lady I spoke with during our purchases has been with the company for over 20 years. So all of them you can be assured know their products and can steer you in the right direction. There's a car park round the back or if that's full, park down the side street as it's not a good idea parking on Unley Rd. If you've been to other plumbing places and think you've got the best price...then make this your last stop, I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised.

There are many different frames constructed and otherwise throughout the interior of the shop, but in none of the ordered fashion you will find in most framing places. There are some very nice frames here, antique and gold leaf, as well as many much less appealing. As well as picture frames and mirrors, Derek's has some fireplaces as well.

If you were looking for anything in the area of home security or business security you wouldn't be wasting your time popping in here and checking out what they'd be suggesting to resolve your problems. They do give free quotes and they do have three stores all up: Adelaide (main store) Port Adelaide and Clovelly Park. They can do business as well as home security locks and you can check their website for further details. The best thing about them is the 24 hour service - which I found to be pretty good, didn't need to wait too long to get someone out and the price was fair to change a lock; in the end it is the peace of mind you are paying for isn't it? That and the security of home. 24 Hour service - 8410 3333
