Rachel is a miracle worker and a life saver! She worked with our family as a post-partem doula and helped our baby boy get onto a schedule that has immeasurably changed all of our lives for the better. People are in awe of how great of a sleeper our son is and how well behaved he is and we owe so much of it to Rachel. As first time parents, we really didn't know what we were doing - despite reading many books, taking classes, etc. - and the time we spent with Rachel was by far the most valuable thing we've done in this new phase of life. THANK YOU RACHEL! Best money we've ever spent and I don't say that lightly. If you have a chance to work with her, you'll be happy that you did. read more

If you're a new parent and feeling overwhelmed, honestly, just hire Rachel. She was with us from day one with our first baby and she is 100% a baby whisperer. I was dealing with so much anxiety those first few weeks but her constant reassurance and guidance literally kept me sane. She taught us everything, from how to actually swaddle him right, feeding tips and even the best ways to burp him. She's super responsive and just genuinely cares, which is exactly what we needed. read more

Rachel is a true professional in her field. I have learned a lot from her and would recommend her to any family looking for a trustworthy, competent, no nonsense doula. read more

I truly cannot say enough good things about Rachel. I'm a first time mom and we relocated to the Bay Area when our baby was only 5 weeks old. Luckily, I had Rachel booked for our first week in town. It was such a challenging time but I felt so reassured and encouraged by Rachel's presence. As other reviewers have mentioned, Rachel is truly a baby whisperer and has extraordinary expertise she will share. You aren't only hiring someone to care for your new baby, but you are getting a top notch consultant to advise on how to problem solve so that you can thrive as a parent. From everything to feeding and sleep and what brand to buy, there are endless decisions to make as a parent, and being able to lean on Rachel made our lives so much easier. I was so sad when our baby graduated from our time with Rachel, but she has been more than willing to still text me advice and answer questions months later. And most importantly, the results: our baby is thriving! He knows how to nap independently, he is happy and eats and sleeps well, which means mom and dad are happy and sleeping well too. I really don't know what I would have done without Rachel or where our family would be (probably sleep deprived and miserable!) read more

What can I say! Rachel was AMAZING from beginning to end. Had my first child at 38 years old and was supposed be due 8/2023 and he decided to come an entire month early (healthy as bull I might add) but nonetheless, Rachel was extremely & sincerely accommodating and worked with me and my new little family. I had a ton of question before hiring her and she answered all my uncertainties and was thorough about what she would teach us and suggest to us. Rachel is very hands on and her quality of work is exceptional...Loved her energy, so we hired her and cant emphasize enough how she reassured that me and my partner were doing fine (first time parenting is scary as hell). I loved that she was okay with texting her even after our sessions were done, if we had further questions or concerns. We were lost, first time parents and Rachel came in and gave us the tools needed to help us guide our new family to 'Victory' lol seriously because everything about a newborn was so foreign to us and by the time we were done with our sessions; we got real comfortable with how we were caring for our baby boy and we owe it ALL to Rachel. Thank you for spreading your love and light, you are incredible. read more

Rachel Munoz - Baby boy living his Best Baby life. - Doulas Near Me

A friend told me that hiring a postpartum doula was the best money she had ever spent..... and so we hired Rachel. It is the best money we have ever spent. She will demystify everything from reflux to sleep garments (swaddling anyone?!?!) to give you -- and your partner -- some much needed confidence during a highly uncertain time. Our outcome has been a happy, sleeping family. read more

Rachel is the best! Her combination of education/expansive knowledge and practical teachings has changed the way we take care of our baby. As a result, he's smiley, happy and so much easier to manage. Her expertise in newborn sleep has led our baby to sleeping 8pm-8am nearly everyday for the past 2 months. If we hadn't found her, we wouldn't have gotten past the sleep deprivation at 6 weeks. I cannot recommend her enough! So worth any form of consultation or care she can provide to you! read more

Rachel recently helped us with our second child, a baby boy! I had a high risk pregnancy and his birth was expected to be unpredictable. Rachel was completely supportive and flexible with us and went with the flow, which we greatly appreciated. Somehow we managed to have complete amnesia when it came time to remember all of the habits we employed with our first to get her to conquer sleep. Rachel held our hand through re-learning and I'm happy (and relieved) to say that at 3 months old he started sleeping 7-7. Rachel was professional, supportive and a joy to work with. She brought so much expertise and comforted and coached us when we had concerns. I can't recommend her enough! A true baby whisperer! read more

If I could give Rachel a million stars I would! From the first time we spoke and even to this day (twins are 17 months now), she has been there for our family. Through sleep regressions, fussiness and everything in between. Rachel feels like a member of our family and we would have been lost withour her wisdom and guidance. Right when I thought sleeping through the night for both babies felt like it could never happen, all her magic paid off, and as she predicted, they starting sleeping through the night right at 8 weeks adjusted. My husband did doubt having help, and thought we could do it on our own. After the first night with Rachel, he said he would never question my judgement again :-) read more

Rachel is a baby whisperer! My husband and I would have been lost without her. Her calm presence, knowledge of newborns and affable manner made her a pleasure and a necessity to have around the first few months of us figuring out how to raise our newborn daughter. read more

Highly recommend Rachel! We've used her twice. The first time it was hard handing such a tiny human over to someone else, but Rachel clearly really cared about the health and safety of the baby and did a lot of education with me as well. Knowing someone so attentive and knowledgeable was watching my baby allowed me to sleep soundly and be a better mom during the day. Also, both children were sleeping through the night by the time she left us just though a solid routine and sleep habits, no leaving them in the bassinet to cry. read more

Call Rachel. My wife and I called her after being at home for a sleepless month with our daughter. She did a complete walkthrough of our environment, provided newborn education, and put our baby on a tailored sleep schedule that instantly improved our quality of life. I highly recommend contacting her in the first few weeks of your little one's life to start sleep training. I have no hesitation in saying she provided the best professional service we have ever invested in. read more

Rachel is incredible. She is super knowledgeable, caring, and reliable. She goes above and beyond. We are so happy we had her help with our newborn son and getting him on a good sleep schedule. We only wish we had her help for longer! We hope to have more kids and if we do there is no question we will sign her up for as many weeks as we can. Do not think twice about calling her - you will not regret it! read more

Rachel provided an exceptional service for us in Scotts Valley. She was extremely professional, very friendly and easy going. Her knowledge and training of newborn care allowed for our daughter to sleep through the night at 7.5 weeks. Currently our daughter is 4 months old and sleeps from 7pm to 6am with a short dream feed before we go to sleep. Talk about a miracle worker! Getting good sleep allows us to enjoy all the beauties of parenthood - which is priceless. She has also been a great resource for breastfeeding, bottle feeding, and food introduction (really anything baby-related). We can't thank Rachel enough for her services. We are so grateful! read more

Rachel is incredible. I cannot recommend her enough! My husband and I would have been completely lost without Rachel after we brought home our little newborn girl. As first time parents, we had no clue what we were doing. Her ongoing support, guidance, advice and calming presence made our transition into parenthood enjoyable. I would not have gained the confidence as a new mom as quickly as I did without the help of Rachel. 100%. Our little one is almost 7 months and my husband and I still talk about how invaluable our experience was with Rachel! It is also worth noting that Rachel helped train our daughter to sleep through the night very early on, which is PRICELESS as new parents!!! She is truly the best. read more

Rachel helped me out in a way that nobody else could when I had a newborn. I was struggling when we met and she swooped in to give me the confidence I needed to keep going. She shared a schedule with me when he was around 2 months old which changed everything for the better. She has helped me with so many things: my main struggles were feeding, napping, and general care for the baby. Sometimes it just helped me to watch how she handles the baby. I always learn something new or pick up a new skill each time we are together (how to burp, give a quick bath, start solids). Rachel is such a pleasant and warm person, I hope to work with her as long as possible! I've been lucky enough to have her come over during the day for several hours when she has time and I feel I need her advice. She is so proactive, she asks me to help with things I don't even expect "here let me clean that bottle." She has the calmest voice and demeanor, when she's around it's reassuring just by being in her presence. In the beginning I'd have a page full of questions, and each time she left I felt so much better. Even my Doc couldn't answer the types of things I wanted to know about like she could. She has so much real world experience taking care of babies, it really shows. I want her by my side for every major milestone, that's how good she is!! Thank you Rachel for your support, anyone who works with you is so lucky! read more

There aren't enough words to describe how amazing and supportive Rachel was with our twin boys. She worked with our family for a couple months and during that time, she was able to get them on a schedule and sleeping through the night! She also coached us on sleep training and was available to us whenever we had questions. She wasn't just our night doula, she became part of our family! read more

Rachel was the night nurse for our twin girls. She worked with us for the first 12 weeks of their lives. Rachel is very professional, highly knowledgable, punctual, reliable, and extremely trustworthy. As a new dad, I particularly appreciated Rachel's presence in our home. She stayed in the nursery overnight and attended to our girls' needs. She provided excellent guidance to my wife in the nursing realm, and helped to calm her fears when there were initial difficulties with latching (those issues only lasted a matter of days). As new parents, having a resource like her available to us to answer any questions first-time parents might have was probably the most valuable service she provided. There are so many things that you don't know or are prone to over-react to, and Rachel helped familiarize us with all the ins and outs and ups and downs of those early days. As a result of her working with the girls, they began to sleep through the night (9 hours) at about 4 months. I am convinced Rachel being with the girls throughout the night is the reason they sleep so well now (they are 20 months and sleep from 7PM-7/8AM on a regular basis). I couldn't recommend Rachel more highly. She is amazing at her job and is a joy to be around in general. What is your sleep and sanity worth? It's the best money you can spend! Make the smart move and hire her! read more

Rachel worked with us for the first 12 weeks--starting the night we came home from the hospital. If we could have used her for longer we would have. She is a total baby whisperer and she made our lives so much easier during those tough first months. She was wonderful with our son (even when he had a poop explosion all over her arm and my bed during a midnight nursing session) and she got him to sleep through the night really early on! He is still a great sleeper all thanks to her. She was also so helpful to me, giving me great lactation advice, helping clean bottles, pump parts etc, giving me advice on questions to ask our pediatrician, and keeping me entertained during late night breastfeeding sessions. If you want to ease the transition into parenthood, then hire Rachel! read more

I can not even begin to express how grateful I am for Rachel and what she did for our family. Amazing doesn't even capture it. She was just beyond my highest expectations. As a new mom of twins (and a first time mom) I thought I knew all the essentials and could handle this on my own. But when the time came and two little babies were depending on me for everything, your mind goes blank. Rachel helped us through it ALL. Not only did she get us on a great schedule but she had our twin babies sleeping through the night at 3.5-4months old!!! We actually felt awkward telling our friends and family this because it's "unheard of". But not when you have Rachel by your side. She has many tricks of the trade that one only has through real life experience and dedication to her profession. She is highly experienced and professional but has a calming warmness about her that makes anyone feel at ease. I would trust her completely with my babies and that is a very short list to be on. Rachel...from the deepest bottom of my heart, Thank You! Ok now I'm tearing up, haha. Thank you!!! read more

We had a great experience working with Rachel! She cared for our new baby 4 nights a week for the first few weeks after he was born. Getting the sleep really helped as I had energy then for my other 2 year old soon as well during the day. She was great with our baby boy and provided me with excellent advice particularly around sleep routines. She was always on time & very very knowledgeable. I wish we had her on her first baby! Highly recommended!! read more

We hired Rachel and would wholeheartedly recommend her! Rachel is very knowledgeable, understanding in all circumstances, went above and beyond, and truly loves the babies she works with. We loved having her in our home and our only regret was not having her longer than we thought we needed her! There is no one else I would consider working with after working with her! read more

Rachel has been amazing with my daughter. Professional, accommodating, and full of advice. I always feel safe leaving her with Rachel. She is highly recommend. read more

My husband likes to joke that Rachel saved our marriage - its only sort of a joke. She came to us on the stellar recommendation of two of our friends and we could not have been happier. She came two nights a week for four weeks to help with our one month old. Not only did she take amazing care of our daughter while we got some much needed sleep, but she answered all of our questions, and helped us understand what our little one was going through so that we could make life better for everyone. She is full of information and is always keeping up with the changing research and information that is SO daunting for a new mom. With Rachel coming I knew that I could get good and informed answers to my questions that would help me keep my little love bug happy and healthy. On top of all that, I would get a good nights sleep!! The only thing I would change is how long we waited to have her come - if I had it to do over she would have come the first night we were home with the baby. I could have avoided a month of sleeping on the couch with a baby on my chest :-) read more

Rachel was a referral and thank goodness we found her! When our twins were babies (3-5 mos) we were in dire need of a sleep trainer and quality sleep at night. Rachel saved the day! Highly recommend her for sleep training, babysitting referrals, anything to do with early stage development of multiples. read more

Rachel is the Baby Whisperer!! She is amazing. She will always be our daughters first best friend and definitely part of the family. Rachel's wealth of knowledge is exceptional. Not only did she help starting as soon as our we brought our angel from the hospital...she guided us on items that we would need for our daughter before she was born. She knew what to purchase and what not to bother with (which was fabulous). Being a first time mom everything can be a little overwhelming; but Rachel made the transition SUPER EASY!! Her sleep training is MAGICAL! We would not have survived without her. My husband and I are so grateful and to this day we know we can reach out with a question and Rachel will help guide us. Rachel even came back when we transitioned our daughter from a swaddle to a sleep sack just to make sure it was a smooth transition and it was!! AMAZING!! We would highly recommend Rachel! read more

Rachel is amazing. She is very knowledgeable about babies and a million other subjects in general. When my mom was in town, she even helped her figure out nursing care options for her sister in San Diego! For babies, she's just a natural. She is always very calm which was 100% appreciated by my husband and me with our crazy, fussy twins. She helped to feed them and calm them in the middle of the night when they were infants so we could get some much needed sleep. We used her help again when they were older, around 10 months, to fill in for a couple weeks while our daytime nanny was on her honeymoon. She was so trustworthy with them and easily able to manage 2 at once. She was better than I was at getting them out of the house to go on walks, to the park, etc. She even brought them to a store one day and had ceramic hand-prints made of their hands for me. She is really thoughtful and special. I whole-heartedly recommend her doula services for anyone in need. read more

Can you imagine feeling confident, rested, happy and knowledgable in the first weeks of motherhood? I didn't think it was possible until I had Rachel's help. She was with us for 2 months following the arrival of my daughter. Coming home from the hospital knowing a trained, professional was going to be there made the transition into motherhood so much easier. My husbands schedule was not going to allow for him to help much at night or early mornings and I knew the quickest way to send me into a postpartum meltdown was too many nights without support. Beyond the extra help so I could sleep, we learned so so so so much from Rachel. NOTE - advise on how to swaddle, soothe, and sleep train a baby is FAR better coming from a neutral party than a MIL or anyone else really. It was like having the cliff notes from all the top baby books with no reading required. She was able to determine my baby was gassy and help suggest remedies - something my doctor would not have been able to help with in the 10-20 min she spends with each chold. She knew my favorite products and would send me sales and deals. She taught us a sleeping and feeding schedule that kept us all sane (I don't think its a coincidence my daughter has been able to sleep through the night since 2 months of age) I sat at night and would review all my questions I had come up with during the day. I still reference those notes months later. My husband acts like the baby whisperer with all the tricks he learned from Rachel. Most of all she really cared about our daughter. I felt like she was genuinely happy to see my daughter every time she arrived. Now throw in bonus things like - help with baby dishes and laundry and you would think she was sent from heaven. But I seriously think she might be. read more

We hired Rachel again for our second child starting immediately when we got home from the hospital. I highly recommend Rachel. She was a calming presence, took the time to figure out our child's needs, and taught our child good sleep habits from the beginning so she easily slept 11 hours at night by 4 months old. Rachel also made herself available if we had questions after she was no longer taking care of our child. She is a left saver for parents of newborns. read more

I cannot recommend Rachel enough to soon to be moms. I had premature twins and had no idea how I would get enough sleep at night. She was a great night nanny for us. My babies were in the best care at night which allowed my husband and me to sleep peacefully and worry free. I found her knowledge of infants very comprehensive and extremely helpful. read more

Rachel is the best. Seriously, hands down, a life saver. I was recommended to her from a few families as she specializes in twins , but I just needed her for my second born. And thank god I did, because he came a month early at 4.5 lbs, and Kaiser let me take that tiny baby home. I was a nervous wreck and she has the most calming approach. I would seriously look forward to her getting there all day (she did nights for us about 3-4 nights a week until our baby was a healthy weight). She brought a scale and we would weigh him every day. She would talk to me through all my premie questions. Rachel was punctual and always on time. She would also bring my baby to me in the night to feed, and gently wake me and sit with me , timing each side. She had our baby on a feeding and sleeping schedule before I could blink. And he is STILL the best sleeper. You see, you get to know someone very well when they spend that kind of intense time with you, and there is no one else I can imagine better for this job. We still keep in touch, she came to Austins first birthday and I consider her a wonderful friend. Anyone would be lucky to have Rachel as their doula. She is truly gifted with babies and mommas. read more
